Perspective is everything. During an argument, there are two different views. Neither are wrong or right. What you see isn't the whole picture. Same thing for forgiveness, one could be unintentionally harming them bcuz of something so small, the other is deeply wounded.

There are many people who can forgive, but they can never forget. The pain and trauma can never be forgotten through the mental and physical scars. Your dad may have forgave you and you may forgive him (in the future). He may forget, but I know you will never forget.

Both your parents need to understand the importance of them being more like an emotional support system. Allowing one to be safe and happy is the way to build stronger connections and understandings. Trauma, harm, or threats are never the answer.

I have no idea what the fuck is going on in your parents' minds, but all I know is that they are not in a position to properly care for you right now with their mindsets/attitudes.
