Sakura Ogami was found with two open wounds on her scalp. Both wounds must have come from something sharp. She also had blood trickling down her jaw from when she threw up and she'd also taken some poison. It appears that she possibly sat in that chair and painfully died at a slow pace that was either sped up by the poison or the huge amounts of blood she was losing.

How did Sakura Ogami die?
Sakura Ogami died from poisoning, after the group had found out that Sakura Ogami was a spy for Monokuma she invited Toko Fuwawa, Byakuya Togami and Yasuhiro Hagakure to the recreation room. Byakuya didn't show up, Toko Fuwawa showed up early and hid in the locker and Yasuhiro Hagakure walked in with Sakura Ogami. They were both waiting for a bit before Sakura Ogami mumbled something that scared Yasuhiro Hagakure into believing that she was going to kill him so in retaliation he hit her with a bottle and ran out but not before writing "Toko" in Sakura Ogami's blood on one of the magazines. Toko Fuwawa had witnessed everything and tried to cover up the "evidence" that Yasuhiro Hagakure had left behind. Sakura Ogami had woken up at this point and walked up to Toko Fuwawa who then passed out at the sight of her blood. Genocide Jack then woke up and freaked out so in response she smashed a bottle over Sakura Ogami's head. She then tried to clean up after herself and ran out. After that Sakura Ogami woke up again and Aoi Asahina found her. Sakura Ogami asked her for a protein drink which Aoi Asahina went to grab without hesitation. Little did Aoi Asahina know, Sakura Ogami had taken the poison and she proceeded to lock the door and down the entire bottle of poison. She then sat in the chair and waited for death to shake her hand.
