Family Matters 2.
Chuck looked to Michael and nodded. "Hello, Michael," he greeted, the same soft smile still on his face. He looked to Sam and Dean and sighed. "I'm sorry, guys. I know you must hate me."
Dean's expression grew hard instinctively, taking a step closer. "Are you trying to tell us that you're God?!" he asked, the whole thing sounding obscured.
"Well... yeah," Chu- God confirmed, his face showing pity for the Winchester brothers.
Dean fell completely silent, looking to Sam who had the most innocent look on his face. He thought he could puppy dog face before, but that was just child's play with the look he was giving... God Chuck.
Dean looked to Chuck again, eyeing him before speaking again. "So, you're really God?" he asked, his voice showing his anger. He literally hated that guy. With all the fucked up shit they had been through and it seemed like he wouldn't even lift a finger to help. Hell, he could've just thought to help them, but no,he did nothing.
God Chuck sighed and nodded. "You're angry. I know, but I'm not here for you boys," he paused, turning to face the Angels in the holy fire circle, "I came for you all."
Michael and Lucifer had the look of deer in headlights, even though Lucifer's expression did show a surge of rage, he didn't act on it. Balthazar could've been described the same, having never met his father and now he was standing right there before him. Gabriel, on the other hand, could be described completely different. He was practically glowing with excitement from meeting his maker, clearly forgetting that the highly dangerous flames were still around them when he moved to step forward, Lucifer having grabbed his collar and yanking him back.
Lucifer cleared his throat. "Why?" he asked, his voice gravelly and he restrained himself from glaring at his father.
Michael shot a glare at Lucifer. "Don't speak to Father like that," he lectured, causing Lucifer to glare back at Michael with his eyebrows raised.
"Excuse me?" he asked pointedly. Sam had shifted off with the sound of his voice.
"Enough," God Chuck's voice boomed, his eyes on his children. "This is exactly why we're here. This is not how brothers act towards each other." God Chuck took in a breath, seeming to calm himself, "You're all here to make omens. It has been far too long since you were all the family I created you to be."
The Angels blinked as they processed their Father's words.
Balthazar huffed slightly, "They were meant to fight. You wrote it that way."
"I did, but it was never written entirely in stone, and even if it was, the Winchesters would break it anyways."
Gabriel spoke up, "Why bring us here, exactly?"
God Chuck smiled slightly and looked to Sam and Dean. "To set an example. The Winchesters have an inseparable bond that two brothers are lucky to have, as did Michael and Lucifer at one point."
Sam and Dean shared a look, shifting as they mentally tried to prepare themselves for what Chuck had planned.
"Michael and Lucifer will become the best of brothers again, along with you all, including Castiel," Chuck said, looking back at the Angel who stood by the Winchesters.
"Why d's Cassie get to be outside of the ring?" Gabriel asked in a pout.
Chuck chuckled, "I knew he would come if the Winchester called him."
Castiel looked to the ground in embarrassment as Dean smirked slightly.
Chuck continued, "I'll let you go soon, but you will not be able to leave the bunker until i decide that you are all loyal brothers again. This fighting is foolish."
Lucifer acted as a teenager who was being lectured, his eyes wondering around the room with a particular bitch face that Sam would be proud of. They could all now see where Sam got it from.
"Yes, Father," Michael responded, his soldier like qualities showing in the way he obeyed, to Lucifer's disgust.
The rest nodded, including Lucifer, and Chuck smiled, looking to Sam and Dean. "Keep them straight guys," he said before he vanished in a thin poof of smoke that went away quickly.
~~~~~
The circle went down after God Chuck left, letting the Angels go to move away from each other. Lucifer moved to sit on one of the long, wooden tables of the study, his arms crossed over his chest lazily.
Michael stepped out of the ring of burnt wood and stood in a statue like stanza, his eyes boring into Lucifer.
Balthazar moved quickly away and mojoed himself a bottle of whiskey, a crystal glass appearing in his hand and the liquid going down his trap.
Gabriel went to stand with Castiel, slinging his arm over the other's shoulders. "Looks like we're all stuck here. Family bonding time?" he asked Castiel before looking to Sam, "Or just regular bonding time will do."
Dean raised and eyebrow at the Archangel when he said that, considering shoving an Angel Blade through his chest like Lucifer had done once before. That was the only thing Dean had ever liked that Lucifer did.
"How exactly does Dad expect us to become the Brady Bunch again?" Balthazar asked, his accent thick in his words.
Dean grumbled and grabbed his gun again. "Alright, alright. Thanks two you assholes I had to wake up to learn that freakin' angels are going to be staying at our Bunker. So, house rules: Shut the fuck up while I go to sleep. Don't you dare fuck anything up," Dean glared at Gabriel before looking back to the others, "And I will kick your feathery asses if anything happens to Sammy."
The oldest Winchester gave the Angels a 'I'm serious, I will gank your sorry ass' look before he went back down the hallway to go to bed.
~~~~~
Sam rolled around in his bed, not being able to fall asleep.
Archangels are in the Bunker.
Angels are in the Bunker.
One of them's going to end up with a bullet in the face.
Sam let out a heavy sigh and rolled over on his other side. "Heya Sammich," a voice spoke, causing Sam's eyes to fly open with a jerk.
"Dammit Gabriel!"
