Tbh froze as Dino held the knife up to his own arm, slicing a clean cut across it.
Suddenly, Tbhs thirst became painful as crimson blood leaked from the wound. He lunged, biting into Dinos arm and sucking blood from it until his thirst became bearable. It was only then he realized what he'd just done.
He pulled away, pelting Dino in sorries.
"N-now do you believe m-me?" The furry stammered weakly.
"I..." Tbh was lost for words. He'd just bit into someone's arm for fricks sake, was he supposed to be mentally prepared to have a conversation after that?
"Geez, calm d-down. It w-was a rhetorical q-question." Dino chuckled, still sounding strained. He also looked a little pale, now that Tb thought about it. Then it hit him.
"Wait, did I? Are you? Oh my cod-"
"N-no. That'd o-only happen if you b-bit my neck." Dino interrupted reassuringly.
Tbh sighed with relief. Though, it didn't make him feel any better. He'd just practically sucked the life out of Dino, how was he supposed to feel okay about that?
"How can I ever go back?" He thought aloud, sitting down where he was. Dino sat down as well, though looking more as if from exhaustion.
"I-"
"Don't even say it'll be ok. We both know it won't." Tb interrupted. Dino rolled his eyes. "A-actually, I wasn't g-going to say that." He smiled. "I was G-GOING to say I h-have an idea." Tb blinked in surprise. He was so used to everyone just saying "it's okay." Or "it'll work out." In these situations. He'd never actually heard someone be completely honest about it.
"Alright, what's your idea?" He questioned.
"We wait until t-tonight." Dino answered, leaning back against a nearby tree. "Y-you can't travel during the day." Tbh was about to argue, then realized Dino was right. Even so, Dino should've been more worried about himself. He was clearly exhausted, he needed rest.
Speaking of rest, the furry had fallen asleep almost immediately. Tbh figured he should do the same.
