Okay, a couple important things I want to say to you, that won't be involved in the story for a while. If you answer this, please answer onto this paragraph.

First, whenever Agent 3 and Agent 8 enter the story, would you like for me to give them actual names (First names)? I have a name chosen for each of them. Obviously, they'll still be referred to as 3 and 8, but it's to give theme a more defined character.

Second, with how Inklings and Octolings react to water, I'm going to go with IT DOESN'T KILL THEM. One, because Nintendo keeps flopping their answer. Second, because Pearl has a pool, so I'm going to assume it's water (from what it looks like), and that it's safe. I'm saying this now, because of some comments on the previous chapter, and I've had an idea for a chapter, sometime in the future, it'll effect.

(Y/N) POV

(Y/N) woke up in the middle of the night. Because of this, he feels a bit groggy.

(Y/N): Wha? Huh? What time is it? The sun isn't even awake yet. Ugh! I'm not getting back to sleep soon. I already slept a bit earlier.

(Y/N) gets out of bed and goes downstairs... To get a snack. Of course.

(Y/N): One snack. ONE snack. Who can only get one snack?

He walks over to the couch, turns on the TV, and starts flipping through the channels.

(Y/N): Come on. There's almost never anything good on TV at this time.

He turned off the TV, knowing he wasn't going to find anything he liked.

He started walking through the house, searching for something to keep his boredom at bay.

He looked into the gaming room, but thought it best not to. One, since he doesn't have Pearl's permission. Two, he didn't want to risk them waking up.

He looked into their soundproof room, where they write their music. He walked in their, made sure not to mess with their things... too much.

This was fun, but it didn't stop his boredom forever. It probably did for longer than it should've though.

He walks past the back door, then walks back and looks out it.

(Y/N): Oh ho. Here we go.

He went back upstairs, and came back downstairs soon after, in nothing but shorts.

He went out the back door.

(Y/N): Who doesn't love night-swimming?!

He hopped into the pool.

(Y/N): Oh, yes! This feels so good.

He swam around in it. From doing laps to timing himself to see how fast he was. This kept him busy for a while.

After a while, he was just sitting with his arms on the ledge that could see Inkopolis.

(Y/N): I really hope these two never kick me out; I love this view too much. Wait! They've gotta have them. How could they not?

Then he saw them. Their rafts.

(Y/N): Here it is!

He said as he pulled out the raft that let you lay on your back with a head rest. He threw it in the pool then hopped on it.

He felt so relaxed and calm laying on the raft, feeling and hearing the water go all around him, and then also being able to admire the view.

(Y/N): Wow! This is the life. I could just float here *Yawn* forever. They've... They've really... got it made.

And just like that, he was fast asleep.

Marina POV

Marina sat up and stretched her arms, back, and legs.

Marina: ♪GOOOOood Morning. Good MORNING. To you.♪

Marina then got out of bed, and started heading downstairs.

Pearl was just sitting at the table, with her head laying flat on it.

Marina: What's up, Pearlie?

Pearl: I don't know. It's as if... No.

Marina: What?

Pearl: It's as if someone woke me up out of a nice sleep last night.

Marina: Sorry, Pearlie. I guess I was a bit much last night.

Pearl looked over with disgust.

Pearl: Just a bit.

Marina: Is (Y/N) up yet?

Pearl waved her arm the other way.

Pearl: I don't know. Give me a minute.

Marina went and checked the room to see he wasn't there. All she found was his shirt, socks, shoes, and... underwear.

Marina: Huh? (Y/N)? Are you in the bathroom?

No response.

Marina: Okay.

She was going to text him, but saw his phone was on the nightstand.

Marina: Okay, so he's around here. Somewhere. In shorts. Just shorts.

Marina blushed for a second, then shook her head.

She went downstairs.

Pearl: So did you find him?

Marina: Nope, just his clothes on the floor. I'm going to look around for him.

She checked the gaming room.

Marina: Nope. Untouched.

She checked the soundproof room.

Marina: No- Wait. Who touched my stuff? I'm hot on his trail!

She started just walking around a bit, but then she saw some of the pool rafts were out.

Marina: That's strange, why would they be- Oh.

She walked outside and saw him fast asleep on the raft. Shirtless.

Marina blushed for a second, then rubbed the bridge of her nose.

Marina: Ugh! That is so dangerous. *Starts walking inside* Falling asleep on a raft.

Marina: Pearl?

Pearl: What?

Marina: You wanna go swimming?

Pearl: Sure. SOMETHING to wake me up.

They went upstairs to get changed and get some things, then came back down a couple of minutes later.

Pearl was wearing a onesie bathing suit, while Marina was wearing a two-piece bikini.

Pearl: Marina!

Marina: Yes, Pearlie?

Pearl: I need you to blow up my floaties.

Marina: Fine.

And so she did. It took a couple minutes though.

Pearl: Thanks, Marina!

Pearl slid the floaties onto her arms.

Pearl: Check it!

Marina: *Giggles* Aw, aren't you adorable!

Pearl: I am NOT adorable!

Pearl was throwing her arms through the air.

Marina: *Under her breath* Too cute.

After a couple of minutes, they had still not woke (Y/N) up. Why, you might ask? Let's see.

(Y/N) was still fast asleep, except he now had sunglasses on, a ring around his neck, and a noodle balanced perfectly on his forehead.

Marina was taking pictures of Pearl doing all this, as Marina was sitting on the edge of the pool, with her feet in the water.

Pearl: Okay, Marina, are you recording this?

Marina: Yep!

Pearl: Okay, check it squids! This is what happens when you fall asleep on a raft.

Pearl then went to tip the raft, but she couldn't do it. She was pushing with all her force, but he was too heavy for her, especially without having anything to push against.

Marina: Do you need some help, Pearlie?

Pearl was still trying to push, and you could tell by her voice, she was trying really hard.

Pearl: No! I -Ack! Can do this!

She then stopped, and was taking in some big breaths. She swam over to Marina and the camera.

Pearl: Okay, check it! Marina's going to show you what happens when you fall asleep on a raft!

Pearl then took the phone out of Marina's hands, and held it up as Marina went towards the raft.

Marina: Are you getting this, Pearlie?

Pearl: Yeah, go!

Marina then flipped the raft with ease.

Marina and Pearl were both laughing.

(Y/N) then came crashing out of the water gasping for air.

(Y/N): I LIIIIIIIVE! So TELL me WHO THREW ME IN THE WATER!

Pearl stopped the recording and Pearl and Marina both just pointed at each other.

(Y/N) grabbed the noodle and started chasing Marina, seeing as she was the one who was in the water, next to him.

Pearl: Run! Marina! Run!

Marina: AH! Why are you chasing me?!

(Y/N): Because I can chase after you without dying of laughter.

He said this while pointing over at Pearl's floaties.

Pearl: HEY!

Pearl then stood up and grabbed two more noodles. She hopped in the pool and was trying to keep up with (Y/N) and Marina, but it was harder since they could reach the bottom of the pool.

(Y/N) then whispered something into Marina's ear.

She laughed then nodded her head.

Pearl saw this and tried swimming away. But Marina was already there. Marina dived under Pearl and came up with Pearl on her shoulders.

Pearl: Huh? Ah HA! Off the Hook combo attack!

She was then using the two noodles to fight back against him.

They all had fun like this for a while, until they were all just floating around in the pool.

Pearl was floating on the big raft, Marina was sitting in a tube, and (Y/N) was just floating on his back.

Pearl: Ah. What could be better than just sitting here. Basking in the sun, while just relaxing in the pool.

(Y/N): Sitting here in the pool, basking in the sun, AND remembering to put sunscreen on.

Pearl and Marina looked over at him, to see that he was red. They both started laughing.

(Y/N): Ouch. I don't know what hurts more. This sunburn or my feelings.

Just then, a notification sound could be heard.

They all looked over.

Pearl: That was mine! (Y/N). Grab the phone.

(Y/N) flipped over and hopped out of the pool. He grabbed her phone and checked the notification.

(Y/N): It's some social media thing.

Pearl: Toss it here.

Marina: No! Do not throw the phone while in the pool.

Pearl: Aw, you're no fun.

Marina: You can't just get a new phone every time you break yours.

Pearl: Of course I can!

Marina: Pearl, just grab the phone.

Pearl then swam over and hopped out of the pool. She grabbed the phone from (Y/N).

(Y/N): Hey, do you have anything I can do to help this sunburn?

Marina: Yeah, there's some lotion over there in the box, next to where the rafts are stored.

(Y/N): Cool.

He went over there, to search for it.

Pearl: Oh snap! Marina, the video has a ton of likes!

Marina: Sweet!

(Y/N): What video?

Pearl: The one of you getting dunked in the pool.

(Y/N): Hey, wait, what? You posted that?!

Pearl: Yeah, I also got the picture of you with all the things stacked on your face.

(Y/N): No!

Pearl: It's not a big deal.

(Y/N): Ugh! *Puts his hands up towards his face and closes his eyes* The internet wasn't ready for my beauty.

Pearl then pushed him into the pull, while he wasn't paying attention.

(Y/N): Ah, Hey! Rude.

Marina: Eh, you kind of deserved that.

(Y/N): Oh, really?

Marina: Yep!

She said this with one of those matter of fact happy faces, with her eyes closed.

Suddenly, Marina felt herself being lifted into the air, while she was still in the tube.

Marina: *Blushing* Ah! Wh-What the-?

(Y/N) tossed her into the water.

Marina: What was that for?

(Y/N) was laughing hard.

(Y/N): Remember when you dunked me, when I was on the raft? You kind of deserved that.

He said jokingly. They were both laughing.

Marina: Oh, okay. You remember that.

Marina started chasing him around the pool with a noodle.

Now, they were all laying on those long, beach chairs, basking in the sun, as the sun started to dim.

(Y/N): Ah, you always have to enjoy the nice days, and just relax.

Marina: Ah, I love days off.

Pearl: Well yeah. You don't have to go to work! Who doesn't love that?

Marina: And now, we don't have to worry about the cities power either. Oh! (Y/N), did you hear the Squid Sisters's new song?! Fresh Start? It's fantastic!

(Y/N): Yeah, my friends and I listened to it together.

Pearl and Marina just rolled their eyes.

Marina: Wait. "Friends"? Plural?

(Y/N): Yep.

Pearl: I thought you only had one friend?

(Y/N): I'm going to just take that at face value... I did. But now I don't.

Marina: Ah! You made another friend?

(Y/N): Yeah, she seems pretty cool from what I can tell.

You could basically hear the sound of glass breaking inside Pearl and Marina.

Pearl & Marina: (Another one.) *Sigh*

Marina: Well-

Marina looked over to see (Y/N) was asleep.

Marina: Of course.
