*Lai's phone starts ringing* I reached out my hand to my phone and turn it off.. I opened my eyes and check the time.

Lai: Huh? Its 4:00am right now.. Today's their day off tho. Hope I didn't wake them up at this hour...

I got up from my bed and slowly walked out from my room. I wash my face to sober up from my tiredness, then I grabbed my bag and got out from the apartment after got myself dressed up. It was a pitch black outside tho, I rushed to the Plaza. When I got there, I saw no one's around here at this hour. Then, I entered the manhole for continuing my mission. This time, I'll be encountering one of the great Octoweapons. Better be caution...

At the Octo Valley.

*Blop*

Lai: Cap'n? ...I bet he's sleeping right now...

I walk up and enter the shack, I saw Cap'n Cuttlefish is sleeping on his bed, hugging the zapfish plush tightly.. A part of me wants to wake him up but I don't wanna ruin his sleep tho.. Still, I shake him a bit slowly.

Lai: Cap'n? Wake up...

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Huh? Holy zapfish! Its an octoling!

Lai: No It's me, Agent 3!

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Oh...

In the shack.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Sorry, I thought you're an Octoling tho. Inklings are normally won't wake up at this hour.

Lai: Yea, that's why we lost the war because of that..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: True tho, but we were the one who had turned the table and forced the Octarians to retreat.

Lai: Yea, all thanks to the New Squidbeak Splatoon who had won the war for us.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: But we didn't restored the peace between Inklings and Octarians tho.. *sigh*

Lai: ...I'm sure the peace will be restored one day... just wait..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Hope so..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: So you're ready to fight against one of the great octoweapons?

Lai: *nod* Yea, there's no turning back now...

Cap'n Cuttlefish: I'll update for you once you entered the arena.

Lai: Okay..

I got changed into my hero suit and grabbed my hero shot, I rushed to the boss kettle and entered it.. A few seconds later, I got spawned on the spawn point in front of the launch pad. I ride on it and super jump to the arena... I land on it and saw there's a zapfish.

Lai: A zapfish? Could be a trap or ambush?

I slowly walk up to the zapfish with caution. Then, a scarred tentacle pop up from the purple ink and snatch the zapfish.

Lai: What the...

Then the lights are shining around the ink and there's an octoweapon slowly appear in front of me. It intimidates me with its roar...

Lai: Whoa!

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Extreme caution, Agent 3! That's the Octostomp, one of the Great Octoweapons. Watch out for its attack!

Lai: Okay.. this won't be easy as always.

It runs toward me and try to face-stomp me. I dodge roll to aside and noticed the tentacle on its back..

Lai: I guess the tentacle is it's weak point..

It stands and runs toward me again and use the same attack on me. I dodge it, start inking up its body and swim up on top of it. Then I start shooting at its tentacle. It burst into a stream of purple ink and I super jump back..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Okay, Listen carefully Agent 3. You got it first, you need to ink the tentacle two more times to destroy it.

Lai: Got it..

It's tentacle recovers back and some of its body side patterns had electricity applied on it. It got me shocked a while...

Lai: Cod, technology these days...

It keeps run towards me and using its same attack again and again. I did the same as well. Ink his body, swim up avoid the electricity and start shooting the tentacle then super jump back in the end. This time, its body side starts moving left right and more area had applied with electricity.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: C'mon you got this, bucko!

Lai: This will be hurt if I make a contact to the electricity..

It roars again and try to stomp me with its body, giving me a chance to splat the tentacle... I did the same again..

Lai: I think it is the last one..

I splat it and super jump back to arena, It got destroyed and starting to explode. I step back and guard with my both arms..

Lai: Oh cod, Inkoming!

It explodes...

*Ka-Boom*

Lai: Ah! The blast! *fall onto the ground*

I got myself up and my suit got covered with my own ink color. The zapfish was still safe with the shield around it. I throw a Splat bomb to break the shield and grab the zapfish..

Lai: Got the zapfish, Cap'n.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Superb work, Agent 3.

Lai: Back to Valley.

*Splash up on the boss kettle*

Lai: Here's the zapfish..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Thanks, Agent 3. With your help, the Inkopolis will be saved in no time.

Lai: But still got a long way to get that Great Zapfish back.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Yea, to advance to another boss kettle. You have to collect 5 more of the zapfishes in that area. Plus, you might battle with the Octolings at there.

Lai: *nod*

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Oh yeah, Agent 1 and Agent 2 want to see you but at this hour.. I guess they're still sleeping tho.

Lai: Oh maybe next time Cap'n. Gonna go back to home. Today's my sisters day off..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Ah be careful out there, it's still dark outside.

Lai: *nod*

*Splash up on the manhole*

Lai: It's 5:30am right now, better be quick..

I sprint my way back home from the Plaza and I got returned back to home, I slowly open the door and close it back quietly. I took a deep breath from sprinting, then I check out if Callie or Marie had already wake up at this hour. I open the door and see Callie is still asleep on her bed. Her half-open mouth is releasing her soft, gentle breathing to the air. And in fact, she's hugging her pink pillow tightly and her two long tentacles hair are all around her bed. Man, she's so adorable, I enter her room and slowly sat on the bed beside her. I reach out my hand and gently put on her cheek, it made me smile tho. I sighed dreamily..

Lai: (I hope I got a chance to confess to you, just wait for me, Callie.)

She turns to me and smile in her sleep, still hugging her pillow tightly, I smile again. She suddenly say something in low voice.

Callie: Lai......

I heard that she said something in her sleep but the voice is too low that I can't hear it clearly from her. Maybe I'm just too tired from the mission tho.. I stand up and start walk out from her room.

Callie: Lai...... I... love.. you..❤

I got out from her room and closed the door slowly, I walked back to my room because I already knew Marie is still asleep as well. I quickly put my stuff on the ground and lay onto the bed, then I fall asleep. I'm glad things had went smooth.

Agent 2: You gotta squidding me. Inklings can't wake up that early.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: But it's the fact right now. Plus, he seems had a lot of potential. Better make an arrangement for meeting.
