6:30am in the Squid Sisters Apartment... Saturday, the day when the Squidmas eve has start.

Callie's POV

I was sleeping in my bed, then my eyes open up and found myself in my room. I yawned as both of my arms stretched out.

Callie: Today's the Squidmas day, isn't it?

Then, as I started to recall that night... I feel like it was just a dream tho but it was so real. Too realistic enough being a dream. Maybe I was just too tired tho.. I laid back to my bed to get some sleeps. Then, I heard a door knock, the door opens and it was Lai. He sets down a cup of tea on the table next to my bed. I ask and say softly to him..

Callie: Hm? What's this?

Lai: I made a Ginger tea for you, you must be tired from last night.

Callie: Last night? What did we do?

Lai: Ehh!? You forgot already!?

Callie: No, I feel like it was a dream tho.

He reached his hand to mine..

Lai: Callie... It wasn't a dream.. It's real.. We actually went to the North Pole and visit a town called "Candy Cane Lane". We even got to see the Father of Squidmas in person.

My eyes lit up...

Callie: So it was real all the time?

Lai: Yeah! Don't tell me you had forgot all of it!

Callie: No, I'm just too tired to recall it all so I thought it was a dream tho but..

I start smiling...

Lai: ?

Callie: That kiss we had at Yuletide Hill. I could still remember that and that proves it all.. So I believe it.. *smile*

Lai: Thank cod.. Ugh...

Callie: Are you okay!?

Lai: Yeah I'm fine, that crash made my whole body went sore that I couldn't even get back to sleep after I woke up.

Callie: ...

I went silenced a bit to remember that moment when Marie and I got caught by the tentacles and how Lai saved us from Octavia, then I try to ask him..

Callie: Would you like to lay a bit on my bed with me? I wanna make up for you about last night.

His eyes slightly lit up and then he replies happily..

Lai: Sure, I'd like to.. *yawn*

He slowly lays himself on the bed beside me.

Lai: Thanks, Cal...

Callie: Hehe, we haven't done this for a while.. Feels really great tho..

Lai: Yeah.. Let's just rest for a while..

We laid ourselves a bit and I looked at him as he closed his eyes, I start asking him about the Squidmas.

Callie: Hey...

Lai: Yes?

Callie: How are we gonna celebrate this Squidmas eve?

Lai: Well, I guess the lobby probably won't be opening since the winter had started.. Maybe we should check out our friends in the Cafe while we got time.

Callie: Sounds great. I'm sure every kids had received their presents.

Lai: Yeah, but what about us? We would probably be hard to get any chance spending time together.

Callie: Nah, it won't be. Marie and I just filmed a Squidmas commercial yesterday so it's just only the broadcast in the noon.

Lai: It's that so.. That's perfect.

Callie: Yeah, it is!

We smiled at each other.. Then, I throw a suggestion in our subject.

Callie: Say Lai, I was thinking we could go shopping at Arowana Mall on Squidmas day with the three of us this afternoon! And I'd love to see Arowana Mall with all the decorations! I heard it's breathtaking there!

Lai: *nod* Sounds okay to me...

After a while, I recall something about his anger..

Callie: Uhm... About your anger problems.. Does this happened before?

Lai: ..It's not like that actually but let's not talk about this..

Callie: But I wanna hear it out from you so I can help you.

He turned his head to the other side to avoid eye contact with me. Trying to be honest with me.

Lai: I.. I was scared, alright? Afraid that whenever you two get any hurts. My heart does the same things too. So.. That's why I do whatever I can, to stop her..

I gasped a bit for his honesty.. I thought he would be trying to avoid the question I just asked..

Lai: Did I scared you?

Callie: No, it's okay for me! Thanks for telling me that!

Lai: ...

I cuddled him and gave a kiss on his cheek.. Then, I rest my head onto his chest.

Callie: I know you were trying to save us and that's why you would act like that. It's not your fault tho.

Lai: Yeah, I know that. Just a bit worried about how you would think of me.

Callie: But my feelings would never change.. I'm assured that for you.

Lai: Glad to hear at last but geez... You really shouldn't talk about this during Squidmas. *pout*

Callie: Ah! Sorry about that, my cuddlefish! ^^"

Lai: *chuckle and smile* Heh... Silly...

Timeskip... 8:00am at the Plaza..

Callie: Well then, we'll see you later after work!

Lai: Have fun you two.

Marie: Let's just get our jobs done quickly so we can celebrate Squidmas early.

Marie and I went in our studio while Lai was gone to the Cafe Cardamari to meet up with his friends..

Callie: I wonder when will we get our presents?

Marie: Beats me... *yawn*

Callie: You seem tired, Marie. Didn't you get any sleeps as well?

Marie: Yeah, it was 4:00am when we got home and you two were already fell asleep on the sleigh. So I went to sleep after sending Cap'n back to Octo Valley and bringing you two back to your own room.

I scratch the back of my neck..

Callie: No wonder, I thought it was a dream tho! And I barely couldn't remember it at all! Ahaha!

Marie: At least we all knew it was real after all.

Callie: Yeah... Thanks Marie..

I spread my arms and hug Marie with all my love, she smiled as she felt that...

Marie: Geez... Why so mushy in all of the sudden?

Callie: I couldn't see my sister being so tired because of me.

Marie: *chuckle* Guess it's all worth right now.

We released from our hug after a moment.

Callie: I'm so glad, Lai would be totally happy when he sees us together like this. ^^

Marie: Really? Why? ^^

Callie: Because he always wanted us to be together and that's his one and only wish he had.

Marie: Well, he reminds me that you did the same wish in Calamari as well.

Callie: Ehh!? How did you know that!?

Marie: I went back to the tree where we had put our paper wish on it. I was surprised as I read your paper.

Callie: Hey, it's not fair! You told me it's a secret tho!

Marie: But shouldn't cousins shared their secrets to each other? So I think it's okay for me to do that.

Callie: Really? ^^

Marie: Yeah...

She suddenly hugs me back and I got surprised by that.. She smiles..

Marie: May anything your wishes come true..

Then, my eyes lit up as I heard her wish. The tears of my joy began to gush out from my eyes and starting to run down from my cheek. I couldn't felt even more happier with this..

Callie: Marie....

Marie: Now we're even then.. *smile*

I hug back again.. This time, it was more tighter than before. Showing how much I loved her.

Callie: *sob* Hehe, I love you, Marie! 💜

She replies back...

Marie: I love you too, Callie.. 💚

Timeskip... 12:00pm, after broadcasting...

Callie: I hope you all enjoy this year Squidmas day!!

Marie: And Stay Fresh, everyone!

Callie: Man finally, I can't wait to meet up with Lai again and celebrate our Squidmas day!

Marie: Easy there, Cal. I'm worried that you'll be going ballistic over him about the Squidmas.

Callie: I'm just feel so excited every time we got off from our work!

We grabbed our stuffs and wore our own sweaters. Then, we exited out the studio and Lai was there waiting for us as usual.

Callie: Hey Lai!

He waves up his hand as he notices us..

Lai: Oh, hey girls!

Then, he noticed the two of us were holding hands together..

Lai: You two...

Marie: What? Never see girls holding hands together before?

Lai: Uhm.. No, actually I...

She chuckled and looked away to hide her blush..

Marie: No, you're not supposed to answer that, Lai..

He starts smiling as he puts both of his hands behind his head..

Lai: Actually, I was a bit happy tho.. ^^

She teases him with a smirk..

Marie: But you're actually jealous, aren't you?

He chuckles back and beamed...

Lai: Yeah yeah, you got me there.. But still happy for you two..

Callie: Thanks! Should we move on right now? We can chat later in Arowana Mall!

Lai: Alright, let's go then!

He start heading to the station... I heard Marie murmurs out under her breath..

Marie: Thanks.. Lai..

He turns back as he had heard something...

Lai: Hm? Did you say something?

Marie: Oh, nothing.. Let's just go, shall we?

We all took the train to Arowana Mall and the ride was just only a few minutes to get there. As we had arrived at the Mall, the weather is now snowing and the place was decorated with banners, lights and a huge Squidmas tree at the center, along with some presents had placed under it. The crowds were more than usual and the decorations were a bit similar to Candy Cane Lane but it was just simply beautiful and breathtaking.. Plus, every stores had their Squidmas sales and discounts. We start our chat while shopping around the Mall and visiting every spots that we interested in.

Callie: So what presents did they got?

Lai: Well, who should I say first..? Whinter is been so hyped today since he got himself a set of Squid Sisters Amiibo as a present. His reaction was priceless tho..

Callie: Sounds a good news! Anything else?

Lai: As for the others, there's nothing to talk about because everyone just got their own normal presents but..

Callie and Marie: ?

Lai: There's a guy named Arnick from Team Toxink and he had just received an Octarian as presents in this morning. You know...

Marie: No way... Don't tell me that was..

Lai: Shh...! Let's just pretend that didn't happen.. xD

We all burst out in laughter...

Marie: Man, this is the funniest one I've heard in Squidmas.

Callie: Haha! I agreed!

Marie's phone starts ringing... She picks the call and it was Cap'n..

Marie: Oh, it's gramps. Give me a minute..

She walks away from us a bit.. Then, she hangs up the call after a few minutes.. I ask..

Callie: What did you guys talked about?

Marie: Well, he wants to come over to our place to celebrate Squidmas with us. Plus, he had brought our gifts as well.

Callie: Really!?

Marie: *nod* Yes it is..

Lai: Then, let's go back now! It's rude letting him wait for us at the outside!

The time is now 6:00pm and we went back to the train station..

Timeskip... 6:30pm..

We just got back to the apartment and saw Cap'n was carrying our gifts in his bag while standing in front of the door.

Callie: Gramps!? When did you get here?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Oh, I just got here from a while. It's not a big deal.

Marie: You should wait for us in Octo Valley..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: It's cold at there. Plus, there are currently don't have any Octarians activities today. Anyway, let's just get in, guys!

Lai grabs the keys from his pocket and unlocks the door for us. We all went inside and set our stuffs onto the ground that we just bought from the Mall.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: I had brought the turkey so let's have it tonight!

All: Yeah!

We all start busying ourselves for our Squidmas dinner.. Marie went with gramps to the kitchen to help out. Lai and I were preparing forks and knives on the dining table.

Timeskip... 8:00pm..

After our dinner, we were excited about the gifts gramps had brought to us. He handed us each one presents and he even had one for Judd..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Santa had handed these to me and he had wrote these letters for you Agents as well! Who's gonna open it first?

Marie: Agent 1, please.

Callie: *giggle* Okay!

I start tearing up the wrapping paper and opened the present box. It was the Squidmas Roller that I just used yesterday.

Callie: Isn't this..!?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Yeah, Santa and I had witnessed all the moves and actions you guys made in the Toy Factory. So he decided to give you with this. Why don't you open that letter and read it?

Callie: Okay..

I opened up the letter and then I start reading it...

Dear Callie,

If you saw this letter, you might know why I sent this along with the gift for you. To be honest, I can sense that you had such a pure spirit and you were actually fascinated in Squidmas. And I'm glad that you had met and lived with such wonderful persons that is closest to you. I gave this Roller to you so you can remember me and my town. Seeing your happy face made all my efforts worthwhile. Thank you for everything and Merry Squidmas, Callie. From Santa...

After reading it, it touches my heart a lot.. Then, a tear had escaped from my eyes.

Marie: Hey, are you okay!?

Lai: What's wrong!?

They both start reading the letter and went speechless..

Marie: Oh my cod...

Callie: This is the happiest thing I had ever received in my life!!

Lai: At least she's happy right now. Now it's your turn, Agent 2!

Marie: Geez.. No need to rush..

Marie start tearing up the wrapping paper and opened up her present box. It was the Squidmas Bamboozler she had used from yesterday. Then, she opens up her letter..

Dear Marie,

After the assault from last night, I had your name officially moved into my nice list. As for you, I can sense how much you cared about your cousin, Callie. You always treated her like your own sisters and you always be there supporting her whenever in work or in play. And you even try to find a person that is truly cared about you and your cousin's life. I feel unbelievable about the friendship you three had. So I gave you the Bamboozler so you can support them during ink battles and I wish your friendship would be last longer or even forever. Merry Squidmas, Marie. From Santa...

She handed the letter to us to read..

Marie: Man, so heartwarming after reading this..

Callie: Yeah, me too. Now it's Lai's turn!

Lai: So it's my turn right now...

Cap'n Cuttlefish: C'mon, Agent 3! It's your turn to open it!

Lai: Okay...

He tears up the wrapping paper and opens up his present box. It was a pair of Dualie Squelchers instead of the Brella he just used from yesterday. There's magenta color on the left pair and Lime Green on the right. The skin of the dualies also had Callie and Marie's name with calligraphy font on it too.

Lai: A pair of Dualies with their names and colors on it?

Marie: Now this is fresh, I wanna take a look.

Then, he opens the letter and start reading...

Dear Lai,

I had heard about your whole story and I'm impressed how you managed to save those two from Gale's control. I sense your spirit is just like a guardian so I made a request to the Tech team to make this special weapon so you'll have the ability to protect the one you loved just as you three did for me. And also, I finally had your name in my nice list too. I wish you three have the best Merry Squidmas from the bottom of my heart. From Santa...

Lai: Oh my cod...

Marie: Speechless right?

Lai: Yeah.. I don't know what to say but I think it's Santa's wish tho.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Yeah it is.

Marie: So all these letters were actually Santa's wishes then?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Yes, Agent 2. He loves seeing the kids to be happy when they discovered the presents he brought them. Ever since he met you three, he sets up his own wishes in these letters to thank you all.

Callie: Then, we can't let him down right?

Lai: Yeah and we won't forget that!

Marie: Well, I'll wish us all Merry Squidmas and..!

Callie and Lai: A Happy New Year!!

In the end, we spent up the rest of our night time celebrating the occasion to the fullest..
