Callie's POV

I woke up as usual and laid in my bed for a while, it was saturday so it means today's our weekly day off, I remind myself that Lai was sleeping on a matress next to my bed. I checked up on him and he's already awake. "When did he woke up and what is he doing at this hour?" I questioned myself. I got out from my bedroom after stretching myself then I saw Lai was sweeping the floor.

Callie: Good morning, Lai!

Lai: Morning too, Callie.

Callie: Geez, when did you woke up?

Lai: I woke up usually at 6:00am I think.

Callie: That's quite surprisingly early and you know that we're not having a servant right now. *pout*

Lai: I'm just sweeping the floor to krill some time tho, sorry about that.

Callie: It's okay, you're just try to look after our apartment. *smile*

Lai: Is Marie still sleeping?

Callie: Yea, I checked up on her, she always set her alarm to 10:00am every friday.

Lai: So what you gonna do at this morning?

Callie: I'll make some pancakes as a breakfast, have you eaten yet?

Lai: Well, I haven't yet.

Callie: Nice! I'll make some of them for you as a reward for doing the chores during this early morning.

Lai: Thanks, Callie! *smile*

Callie: Hehe~ You're welcome~💖

*Callie start walks to the kitchen.*

Lai: (Cod, She's so sweet.)

10 minutes later,

Callie: Done!

Lai: Man, I honestly didn't know that you're good at this.

Callie: Thanks! I always make some of these for Marie and Judd, and they liked it. You should try it out right now!

Lai: Ehh... Is Judd living with you too?

Callie: Yea! He's being living with us since we start our career! Plus, I love cats so I decided to keep him!

Lai: That's nice of you, Callie.

Callie: Thanks for compliment, hope you like it as well. *smile back*

Lai: Right, here goes...

After having a bite from the pancakes that made by Callie.

Lai: Man, No wonder they would like these. It's like you're making it with your love.

Callie: Ehh!? Is...Is that so? *blush*

Lai: I'm just telling the truth, don't get it wrong! *blush*

Callie: *chuckle* Well, glad you liked it and thanks, I'll feed Judd with some of these and I'll be right back!

Lai: Okay.

She fed to Judd before we had our breakfast as well...

Lai: So you wanna take a stroll with me around the Inkopolis?

Callie: Sure, I'll leave some of them and a note on the table so Marie will notice it. Wait for me.

A few minutes later....

Callie: Done! Let's go then!

Lai: Okay. *nod*

We got out from the apartment and start walking around in Inkopolis, it was spring and the current weather was just a bit cold during this morning. Callie was wearing a pink hoodie, a pink beanie, a white shirt and a black shorts underneath.

Callie: I thought I was the only early bird around here, didn't expect you did the same as me.

Lai: I was thinking about that too.

During our walk, we saw only very few of Inklings were hanging out as well at this hour, most of them are just starting their business. I brought my Splat brella in case if the weather starts raining. Suddenly, Callie grabs my right arm and start whispering to my ear.

Callie: Hey, my legs feels a bit cold, can I get a warm in your hoodie hat?

Lai: Sure if you want to, I'm fine with it.

Callie: Thanks..

She turns into her Squid form and jump into my hoodie hat to warm herself or take a view behind me. I was blushing a little bit but she didn't see my face. We both silence awkwardly, until Callie tries to ask me something to break the silence.

Callie: Can I ask?

Lai: Sure..

Callie: So.. what's your hometown be like?

Lai: Oh, it was just a village at the Calamari Region, same as yours.

Callie: Ehh!? But how did you know about our hometown?

Lai: Well, If I recall it correctly. When we're kids, I saw you and Marie had won the first annual Youth Folk-Singing contest during that festival.

Callie: So... You were there at that time?

Lai: Yea, I was there, sitting on a bench, having some sweet dangos with my parents and start enjoy watching you girls singing on top of the stage with full of joy.

Lai: But do you still remember that time, right? That time when you got lost in the forest...

Callie: !?

Her eyes widened by surprised. She covered her mouth with her two large tentacles...

Callie: Wh..What!? Don...Don't tell me! That was you!?

Lai: Yea.. I wouldn't mention that otherwise if I wasn't there at that time. Too bad is, I haven't fully grown into a humanoid form tho so you can't recognize that it was me.

Callie: ...Well...

Callie: I've been waiting to say this to someone who had helped me at that time but, I honestly didn't know that it was you and...

Callie: I'd never expect that we would be able to meet each other in this place. Marie sure knows how to pick a nice one. Hehe~

Lai: Yea, me either...... Wait what? What do you mean Marie picked me up?

Callie: Well, after the event closed, our manager brought the box to us and we start choosing, Marie was the one who picked up your name and show it to me.

Lai: Is that so?

Callie: Yeah! *smile*

Lai: (Or she picked me up for some reasons I bet.) *sweatdropped*

She jumps and her two large tentacles wraps around my neck tight as a cuddle. She seems to be so happy about this...

Callie: Thank you... Lai... (I recognize this feels, it really was him! Thank cod!)

Lai: You're welcome... Callie...

At 10:00am

Marie's POV

The alarm clock just start wake me up in the morning. As I stepped out from my bedroom, the first thing I saw was a note and then some pancakes on the table. The note says: "Dear Marie, Lai and I went outside for a walk, I had prepared some of them on the table for you as well. We'll be back so don't worry about us. Love you! 💖Callie💖. "Geez, those two.." I smiled. I knew Callie would be happy with him tho. I put the note back on the table, start having my breakfast and get myself dressed up in the bedroom. After this, I got out from my bedroom and saw Lai had returned home.

Marie: Oh you're back, Lai.

Lai: Oh hey, Marie.

Marie: Where's Callie?

Lai: Oh, she's sleeping in my hoodie hat. *carry her from his hoodie hat*

Marie: Oh. *giggle*

Lai: I guess she got herself too warm in my hoodie hat and fell asleep. *sweatdropped*

Marie: Just carry her to her bedroom.

Lai: Okay..

I was carrying her with her squid form to the bedroom, slowly place her on the bed and pulls the cover on her. She still sleeping soundly in her squid form. Then, I closed the door without making any noises and back to Marie.

Marie: So how you guys doing?

Lai: Pretty well, Callie seems to be happy during our walk.

Marie: Nice, but when you gonna move in with us?

Lai: Maybe at night I guess, but still.. Where should I stay?

Marie: Well lucky is, I found there's one for you so follow me then..

I follow her lead and then she stops at the front of the door.

Marie: Here.

I opened the door and saw there's a bed and a closet but covered with thick-layer of dust..

Lai: This room?

Marie: Sorry Lai, this room was the only one we had right now, you should be grateful with that.

Lai: Guess I'll need to do the cleaning now in this morning, but thanks anyway.

Marie: Hope you can deal with it tho.

Lai: Of course I can.

I turn and look at the dust...

Lai: Maybe... This gonna be take times tho... *sweatdropped*

At 11:30am

I finished up cleaning and mopping away the dust around this place or should I say "my room" right now. I check the time, it was currently 11:30am. "I wonder if Callie still sleeping tho." I said to myself. After clearing up the dust, I went upstairs to check up on her. I opened the door slowly and she's already awake. Then someone sneaks behind me.

Callie: Peek-a-boo~💖

Lai: GEEZ! Don't scare me like that, Callie!

Callie: Oh cod, that reaction of yours is so hilarious! Haha!

Lai: Dang it, you got me now. *blush*

Callie: But why you're covered so much with your sweat?

Lai: Well, I was cleaning this room because I'll be start moving in at night.

Callie: Really!?

Lai: Yea, but it's gonna be a lot of works for me today.

Callie: Maybe if I can help?

Lai: Are you sure?

Callie: Yes and don't worry about me because of tomorrow's work, I already gotten used to it.

Lai: Sorry Callie, I can do it with my own.

Callie: Geez... *pout*

Marie: Lunch is ready!

Callie and Lai: Okay!

Lai: Well, I'll go take a shower now.

Callie: Alright, be quick then! *smile*

During lunch...

Marie: So what you guys talking about during this morning?

Lai: Well, Callie had asked me about my hometown, mine was same as you two but just different village tho.

Callie: Yea and thanks to Marie for picking you up, you sure are the lucky one!

Lai: Yea I guess so..

Lai: So what you girls gonna do after this? Maybe turf war?

Marie: Then there'll be a lot of fans trying to surround us if we're in plaza tho.

Lai: *sigh* Yea I knew it, even there's some crazy one out there. (Just like what had happened in yesterday.)

Marie: Yea. *giggle*

Callie: Maybe we should just hang around in Arowana Mall? There might be have some fresh gears are coming out right now.

Lai: I don't know, what do you think Marie?

Marie: Uhm... We're currently had nothing to do in this afternoon. So I guess it's fine.

Callie: It's a deal then!

Lai: Okay!

Marie: *nod*

During the lunch, I felt something strange but I feel happy, although I'm just having lunch with the Squid Sisters but I feel that I'm having lunch with my own sisters which means it feels like a real home to me.

After lunch... At 1:30pm

Callie: You guys ready yet?

Lai: Yea!

Marie: Let's go then.

In Arowana Mall, the scenes was so lively and the mall was crowded with Inklings and Jellyfish. We enter the mall and start walk around and check out for some fresh gears from the various stores.

Marie: Uhm guys, can we split up for a while. I need to buy some groceries from the Mako Mart, so have fun you two.

Lai: Take care then!

Callie: C'mon, Lai! Let's check out some stores right now! *holds Lai's hand*

Lai: Sure, why not!

While browsing some stores...

Callie: Oh my cod! Am I look good with this new gear?

Lai: Hm.. Yea, you sure look adorable with that new gear.

Callie: Thanks, I'll buy this one! What about you, aren't you gonna buy something else?

Lai: Still searching tho, wait is that..... Corocoro hoodie!? Cod, I have been waiting for this!

After we're done shopping, we took a break at the Inkopolis Café. It was 5:30pm now.

Callie: Phew... that was fun.

Lai: Yea, it sure is. So what do you want for a drink?

Callie: Hm... Let's try the pearl milk tea, its famous in Arowana Mall.

Lai: Oh okay.

She calls out the waiter and orders two cups of pearl milk tea. Then, she starts to chat with me.

Callie: So what should we do next?

Lai: Maybe we should meet up with Marie and let's have dinner together?

Callie: But you haven't move out from your apartment.

Lai: I know.. but I don't want to trouble you either. So can you help me put my things to my closet? I'll move out after having dinner with you girls.

Callie: Okay! But be careful out there.

Lai: Don't worry, I'll look after myself.

Waiter: Here's two pearl milk tea.

Lai: Thanks, how much?

Waiter: 180 cash.

Lai: Okay wait.

I pay up the drinks to the waiter.

Lai: *taking a sip* Texting to Marie?

Callie: Yea, about that we're currently in cafe now.

Callie: Hey Marie! Can you meet up with us? Lai and I are in the cafe right now.

Marie: Sure I'll be there, so...

Callie: ?

Marie: Having fun with your crush?

Callie: !?😶

Callie: Marie! You know he's with me right now, what if he saw this!

Marie: lol.

I was taking a sip of the drink. I turn my sight to Callie and notice her face was in crimson red while texting to her cousin.

Lai: Uhm Callie...? Are you alright? *sweatdropped*

Callie: Ehh!? Its nothing Lai, I'm fine!

Lai: Really? You're having a fever or something?

I reach out my hand and touching her forehead to check her body temperature. My hand feels warm from her forehead so I think she's fine but her face still crimson red tho.

Callie: See! I.. I told you I'm fine!

Lai: I'm just worry a little bit, Callie.

We got silent for a while until I start talked to her.

Lai: So what did Marie said?

Callie: She said that she'll be there in an hour after she leaving the groceries in the house.

Lai: Okay..

A few minutes later...

Marie: Hey guys..

Lai: Oh hey Marie.

Marie: Hey, is Callie okay?

Lai: Uhm.. Yea, I guess she's okay. I checked on her forehead, her body feels warm tho.

Marie: Is that so? *giggle*

Lai: *nod* Yes. C'mon Callie, let's go.

Callie: Right.. *blush and pout*

Marie: *still giggling*

We're meeting up each other and we'll be having dinner together. After that, I'll be start moving in to their house.

After dinner...

Lai: I'll be going back to my apartment now, so you guys can go back home first.

Marie: Alright then.

Callie: Take care, Lai.

Lai's POV

I was going to the apartment and start moving my things. During my way to the apartment, I went passed the plaza and I stopped walking, I saw something suspicious on the sky. It was just a weird saucer flying away. "What's that?" I thought to myself. But I didn't care that much and continue my way. As I got to the apartment, I start packing up my things in my luggage and luckily, it fits perfectly with all my stuff. Then, I left the apartment and start heading to theirs. "Feels like I had seen it somewhere before, I wonder when and what's it doing here?" I questioned myself. I had arrived at their apartment and knock the door, I saw those two got dressed up in their pyjamas and they're watching drama right now in the living room. It was 8:30pm tho..

Lai: Hey guys.

Callie: Oh hey Lai!

Marie: You're kinda late..

Lai: Sorry.. I'll start sorting out my things in my room, chat with you girls later.

I finished up my things in my room and it was 9:00pm right now. I got out from my room and back to those two. Marie was still watching tv and Callie had fell asleep right now.

Lai: Phew... finally.

Marie: Why don't you just sleep right now.

Lai: I wanna rest for a while then I'll go to sleep... Callie?

Marie: She won't wake up, she's a heavy sleeper. Maybe you can carry her back to her bedroom?

Lai: Okay then, I'll get the door open.

Marie: Be gentle to her.

Lai: I know..

I start carrying her in a princess style all the way to her bedroom, then I slowly place her onto the bed and pulls the cover on her. But this time, I have a feeling that I want to kiss her because she's so cute whenever she falls asleep. I began to move my face slowly to her soft cheek and "Chu~💙". Giving her a long passionate kiss as a good night. I knew that I'm already fall for her since we first met each other, it was a total bliss for me that I can't just resist but to accept it willingly. I smile and start walking out from her bedroom before closing the door.

Marie: Lai, what took you so long?

Lai: You said be gentle to her tho.

Marie: Oh, yea.. Thanks Lai.

Lai: You're welcome.

After a while...

Lai: Marie, Can I ask something important?

Marie: Sure if you want to.

Lai: I try not to be sound rude for you but...... Why you choose me over from thousands of Inklings?

Marie: ...

Lai: I get it, sorry about that..

Marie: Wait.

Lai: ?

Marie: Well, because I know that you're always alone, but I saw that you have more potential than other Inklings so that's why I willingly give it a try for you . *smile*

Lai: I see...... Actually I just want to say this to you.

Marie: Hm?

Lai: *hugs Marie* Thank you so much, Marie. Thanks for giving me this chance to live with you girls.

Marie: *patted Lai's back." You're welcome, I mean it was just a small matter for me tho, kiddo.

Marie: Yeah, yeah. It's already late tho. Why don't you get some sleeps for tomorrow?

Today's such a perfect day for me. Not only I always be able to see these two and I'm also starting my life with them as well, I bet it would be totally great.
