A male inkling was sitting at a table near the square, headphones covering his ears, blocking the outside world.

On the table was a cup, full to the brim with coffee that he wasn't even touching.

Eventually a short inkling with a hood covering her entire head sat across from him.

This causing the male to turn and face her, quickly once realising who it was, he took the headphones off.

Y/n: s-sorry...didn't know that you would be this early...here.

He pushed the coffee towards her.

???: Thanks....so you're the one marina set me up with? I don't see why she thought we'd match well.

Y/n's smile faultered slightly

Y/n: e-eh? Really? I even dressed my best for you, since you are a princess.

He couldn't see it, but he knew he struck a nerve and that she was blushing.

???: S-shut up! She took a drink of the coffee to try and calm her nerves.

???: Mmm... chocolate coffee? Since when was this a thing?

Y/n chuckled softly and scratched the back of his neck

Y/n: well it's not out yet, but the coffee shop I work at is about to release it, and I thought you'd like it.

The hooded inkling got up, and quickly hugged him

???: Thank you yo.

He could see a faint smile as the hooded figure sat a bit closer.

Y/n: so why aren't you wearing your famous crown? And why are you hooded.

She went silent,

Y/n: sorry, touchy subject-

???: It's fine, but either I'll be mobbed by fans, or people will start with their ranting on how I should leave the GROUP I MADE

She gripped the coffee tightly and sent the liquid everywhere.

???: S-sorry! I'm sorry!

Y/n only sighed and wiped the drink off his face,

Y/n: it's fine, now, want to head somewhere else so I can actually talk to you in a non-akward way?

???: Sure, we can head back to my place,

The two left the square and y/n soon found himself at a large mansion

??? Began to type something into a key pad and the gates swung open and then closed behind them, When going to the large doors the figure turned to him

???: Don't talk to marina in anyway flirtatiously or else your loosing a couple fingers, got it?

Y/n nodded quickly in fear of his fingers.

The two then entered and immediately the figure was greeted by an octoling.

Marina: ah! Pearl your back early, oh and y/n is here too! Nice to see you again,

Y/n nodded as pearl lowered her hood, then she took out her crown from nowhere.

Pearl: me and y/n will be up in my room, call us if you need anything marina.

The goblin began to drag y/n away, he simply just waved goodbye to marina and smiled,

Let me just say this...

Pearls room was as large as y/n's apartment.

Pictures of off the hook albums were everywhere, papers and records littered the floor, and yet the carpet seemed brand new amongst the chaos.

Y/n: huh, I thought it would be a little less hectic-

Pearl lightly punched his shoulder, blushing a light pink.

Pearl: shut it, me and marina are the only ones usually in here, and no matter how much she cleans it, well you can see.

Y/n sat on her bed, sinking down a bit, in his mind, the bed felt like heaven.

Y/n: well I like it, it shows your really into your work unlike most.

Pearl blushed at his comment as she jumped onto the other side of the bed.

Pearl: thanks...but I have a question?

Y/n looked over to see pearl, her gaze was sad and looking at the ceiling.

Y/n: yea, what is it Pearlie?

She made a sour face at the name and then grumbled out incoherent words, which made y/n laugh,

Pearl: w-why are you doing this?

This confused the squid, rolling over to see pearls face,
She was on the verge of tears.

Y/n: simple,

Pearl felt the weight on the bed release, forcing her to look for him,

Then she felt the weight come back, and before she knew it, arms were wrapped around her waist and the warmth of another person was behind her.

It was....comfortable.

When she realized it was y/n a deep blush dusted her cheeks.

Y/n: I've liked you for awhile, and I was already friends with marina, so she hooked us up with a blind date, well blind for you.

Pearl grumbled and punched his shoulder, being to dazed to speak.

Y/n: aw is my little dwarf blushing? Maybe this would help.

Pearl felt one arm leave her waist.

Pearl: w-what are you doing?

She then felt a something wet yet warm on her cheek and then a flash of a camera.

Pearl: d-did you? D-did you just kiss me and take a picture!

She was blushing madly, turning quicker than Peter Parker's spider sense, facing the chuckling male who nodded

Pearl: oh your not going to get away that easily yo! Come here!

Y/n yelped as pearl latched to his face.

While all this happened marina was outside the door, recording the audio while nodding.

Marina: I knew it would work between the two, seems my job is done.

She smiled and walked away.
