Summer has finally arrived and the concert is finally tonight! The school year is almost over, meaning the graduation is coming soon. Outside of the school yard, Alexa rapidly taps on the table with her fingers as she was quiet annoyed.

Inkling: oi... are you ok?

Alexa: DO I LOOK OK TO YOU?

Inkling: sorry...

Alexa: *sigh* ever since the black eye demon came to our town, that bitch has been hanging out with him. it just pisses me off, seeing how happy she is

Octoling: tell me about it, it's getting boring since we can't have her around

Alexa: I just want to strangle her and drown her in a lake!

Octoling: yeah, I don't see why that demon is helping her. what does he even see in her?

Inkling: well I heard he's a poor man and works as a retail cashier

Octoling: maybe that bitch is a slut that has sex with guys for money

The of the girls laugh as Alexa was still quite annoyed.

Alexa: enough with the jokes, I'm not in the mood... I need to know how to get rid of that demon

Inkling: how? we really can't do anything about it. The demon is always keeping an eye on her 24 hours straight

Alexa thought for a moment.

Alexa: unless...

Inkling: unless what?

She couldn't help but have a smile on her face.

Alexa: we can just tell the whole city about a darkling being here. after all, everyone hates the darklings, and besides, who would believe the demon that left the Darklings has turn over a new leaf?

Inkling: yeah...

The inklings and octolings start to smile.

Octoling: so what's your plan?

Alexa: Oh I do have something in mind, you girls get some staples and other supplies because we're about to set off some firworks!

Somewhere inside the school:

Tadayoshi: *Achoo!*

Alex: you ok

Tadayoshi: I'm fine. now eat your sandwich

Alex: I know I know....

School finally ends as both tadayoshi and Alex walk home together.

Tadayoshi: today's the day

Alex: I know...

Tadayoshi: are you nervous?

Alex: kinda...

Tadayoshi: you'll be fine, I will be there to watch you sing.

Alex: ok... but who's going to play the music while I sing?

Tadayoshi: I talked to some people that will play the music for you

Alex: umm... how did you convince them... like, no one knows or likes me...

Tadayoshi: ...

Few days ago:

Tadayoshi had some of the people who play music, hanging upside down on the school roof with their feet tied together and hang by a rope.

Tadayoshi: I will ask again. will u play music for Alex?

Inkling: OK OK WE WILL! JUST PLEASE BRING US BACK UP!!

Present time:

Tadayoshi: uhhh... I persuaded them

Alex: I see...

They were quiet for a few minutes as tadayoshi notice Alex tentacle were really long

Tadayoshi: you know.....your tentacles are pretty long

Alex: you think so? should I cut them?

Tadayoshi: no no, hang on

Both Alex and tadayoshi stop for a moment and she felt her tentacles being tied up.

Tadayoshi: there we go

Alex feels her tentacles as they were tied up into a ponytail style

Tadayoshi: ... you look better in that style

Alex smiles at him a bit.

Alex: thank you

They continue walking for a few minutes until they arrive at Alex's home

Tadayoshi: do you think you can dress well?

Alex nods at him.

Tadayoshi: alright. see you at the concert

Alex: wait, you're not going to walk with me

Tadayoshi looks at her

Tadayoshi: you're gonna have to learn to be on your own soon, since I can't always be with you all the time

Alex: yeah... see you tonight

As Alex walks inside and tadayoshi walks home, he doesn't realize people are staring at him behind a bush with a piece of paper.

Inkling: it really is the demon...

Inkling 2: follow him!

Alex: I'm home...

Alex enters the house to find her mother washing the dishes.

Mother: welcome home sweetie, I have a question

Alex: yeah?

Mother: have you seen your brother? He has been gone for a while

Alex thought for a moment and realized that she hasn't seen her brother as well

Alex: I... don't know...

Mother: alright, now go upstairs and do your homework, you have a concert to go to right?

Alex: yeah... are you coming?

Mother: I'm sorry I can't, your father wants me to stay home and have an important chat but can you have your friends record a video?

Alex: yeah...

Mother: thank you sweetie

Alex heads upstairs to her room where goes to pull out her homework but to find her homework with a sticky note on it

" don't need to worry about your homework for now, just get yourself ready"

Alex smiles and she puts her homework away and head out of her room to shower

After showering and changing into a nice clothing, she heads downstairs and says goodbye to her mother, then she make her way to the concert alone for the first in a while. As she walks by she notice a piece a paper on a telephone pole about tadayoshi which led her to be confused

Alex: "why is tadayoshi on the paper?"

She reads it to only find out the paper is only talking about how tadayoshi is a darkling

Alex: "I'll just ask him when I meet him"

She throws the paper away and continues walking for a few minutes until arriving at the concert. She looks up as the building as she takes a deep breath

Alex: "this is it!"

Alex walks down the school hall to reach the stadium where they will perform. As she arrives at the stadium, she sees a bunch of other people that decided to participate getting ready. She then notices the trophy stands where they show the other winners from the past, one of them was a picture of young Callie and Marie

Alex: "they were part of this as well?"

?: hey! Are you Alex

She turns to see a group of inklings

Alex: y-yeah

Inkling: alright, we are going play for you while you sing

Alex: T-Tadayoshi asked you?

Inkling 2: yeah...

Alex: oh, well thank you

Inkling 3: yeah yeah... (weird inkling...)

???: ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, the concert shall now begin!

Alex then notice a inkling going out in the stage as everyone claps. He was a blue inkling with googles, had a black jacket and tight leggings

Announcer: ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Inkopolis' fifth annual Youth Folk-Singing Contest, I'm your host, Nathan, and hope you all enjoy the show

Everyone claps again as Nathan waits for everyone to stop

Nathan: now our first contestant of this show is the kelp boys

Alex watches a groups of boys appear on the stadium and play their music. The crowd begins clapping and cheering, with every contestant finishing their show, while Alex peeks out to see if tadayoshi was there, but he wasn't

Alex: "maybe he's late...

Nathan: and now our next contestant is... Alex!

Alex then gets surprised hearing her name being called out

Alex: "wait! No! Not now!"

Inkling: come on, we have a concert to show

As the inklings walk out to the stadium with their instruments, Alex takes a deep breath and heads out on the stage. She looks around to see the crowd just eyeballing her, which made her grow nervous. She looks around but still hasn't seen tadayoshi

Alex: ...I-

Inkling: EVERYONE!

Suddenly an inkling barges through the entrance of the stadium, but it wasn't tadayoshi

Inkling: people are burning down a house! I heard a darkling commander is in there!....maybe it's.....the demon!

As soon Alex heard demon, her eyes open wide in shocked

Alex: what...
