The Darklings in the room point their weapons at the beaten Tadayoshi which Jason gives a smug look at him

Tadayoshi: Are you hurt kid?

Alex: I'm fine!

He notices Alex having some small bruises on her face, which Tadayoshi clinches his teeth and squeezes his pen tight

Tadayoshi: I should've ripped that handsome face of yours when I first met you

Jason: You wouldn't but it surprises me that you're still alive, as expected for a Darkling commander

Tadayoshi: Don't remind me!

He starts running toward him but the Darkling starts to fire at him which he quickly dodges into a machine to cover but still get hit in the leg

Tadayoshi: Dammit!

He jumps out and throws his pen which hit one of the Darkling and it flies back killing the last one as Tadayoshi catches his pen

Jason: *sigh* You scums are worthless... I have to do everything myself!

He pulls out his weapon, which was a scythe, and spins it around before pointing at him

Jason: I put you down like a scum dog you are

Tadayoshi: If you can kill one!

They both jump toward each other and clash their weapons before they push each other back. Both took turns swinging at each other, blocking and attacking each other.

Jason: Heaven Ink Slash!

He swings his blade, creating an ink beam, which Tadayoshi jump and the beam cuts every behind him. He thrust his weapon towards Jason but he blocks the attack. Tadayoshi lifts his pen, pushing Jason back almost making him lose balance.

Tadayoshi: You're wide open!

He swings his pen across Jason cutting his chest as he lets out a scream of pain. He held his hand at his cut which he cliche his teeth before clashing tadayoshi again

Jason: You're gonna pay for leaving your scummy poor cut on me!

Tadayoshi: Do I look like I care what I do to you!

Tadayoshi tries to push Jason back, but he feels his body getting weaker which causes Jason to push him back. He notices the ink bleeding out of Tadayoshi which he gives him a smirk and chuckles at him

Jason: What's the matter? Getting weak?

Tadayoshi: No, Just tired

As they continue to fight Alex looks around as she looks around to see if she can escape her captivity

Alex: "I need to help him, he's bleeding too much, he's gonna get himself for moving too much!"

Suddenly an ink beam nearly hit her but creates a ripped piece of metal beside her, which she noticed

Alex: "There!"

Tadayoshi was knocked down to the ground again and notice Jason above him about to bring down his blade, but Tadayoshi rolls away before he could get stabbed

Jason: I guess you are right about being tired, how about I help you put you to sleep

Tadayoshi: As if

BeatBox: Tadayoshi! You need to hurry up, not only your body will reach its limit, but this place is gonna blow up soon!

Tadayoshi: Don't remind me!

He jumps in the air while Jason follow him and they clash around the second floor of the building

Jason: Trying to run?

Tadayoshi: No, just need more space to kill you

He manages to push Jason away and uses the railing to boost himself forward and stabbing Jason on the side and slide across the ground.

Tadayoshi: Dammit! I missed your face

Jason: As if you can hurt my face!

He kicks Tadayoshi off of him and quickly jumps back to his feet as they both continue to clash against each other. Jason swings his scythe at him, but Tadayoshi quickly grabs the scythe and spins him around, and slams him against the wall, making him cough out ink

Jason: *Groan*

Jason glares up at Tadayoshi who was still holding his cut with his hand while the other hand pulls back with his pen, ready to stab him

Tadayoshi: I'll make this quick and easy

Jason grind his teeth at him before giving him a wicked smile

Jason: I'm not so sure about that

Tadayoshi: Huh?

Suddenly Tadayoshi hears a shot as he felt something shot through him in his side. He grabs onto the pain where he was shot and looks behind him to see a Darkling sniper behind him, who gives a peace sign and disappears

Tadayoshi: "That damn sniper!"

Jason: How ironic I got help by a scum

He kicks Tadayoshi down as he falls from the second floor and hits the ground

BeatBox: Tadayoshi! Get up! Don't die like this!

Jason jump down below to Tadayoshi and he slowly walks toward him as he spins his scythe around while humming

Jason: You know, I've never liked you when I first met you, not only you took away my stress reliever but I've been disowned by my family... by everyone!

He lifts his scythe over his head while Tadayoshi tries to get up, but his body felt weak from the bleeding

Jason: But now I can have it all back... but better than before!

Suddenly Jason felt his chest being stabbed which made him cough out ink. He quickly turns around to see Alex stabbing him with a ripped piece of metal

Alex: I won't let you kill him!

Jason: You...

He slaps Alex to the ground and pulls out the metal in his chest and throws it on the ground. He walks up to her and lifts the scythe above him

Jason: I'll quickly give your punishment

Alex shuts her eyes as Jason swings his scythe at her, but she doesn't feel anything. She opens her eyes to see Tadayoshi covering her while he was stabbed through the chest

Alex: Tadayoshi...

Jason pulls the scythe out of Tadayoshi as he coughs out ink

Jason: *Tsk*

Alex: Tadayoshi!

Tadayoshi: I'm... fine...

Jason: Get out of my way demon!

He starts rapidly swinging his scythe at Tadayoshi, repeatedly cutting his back, but Tadayoshi continues to endure the pain while covering Alex

Alex: What are you doing?... Stop it... You're going to kill yourself!

Tadayoshi: I'm fine... this is... nothing...

Jason: Nothing you say? Then you won't feel a thing when I kill you!

He goes to take another swing at Tadayoshi but he speaks out something which made Jason stop himself

Jason: What?!

Tadayoshi: I said behind you...

He looks behind him and suddenly the pen flies across his face, cutting him

Jason: AAHHH!! MY FACE! MY BEAUTIFUL FACE!

Jason drops to the ground while covering his face in pain as Tadayoshi weakly gets up with Alex and grabs his pen

Tadayoshi: Now *huff* to do what I came for *huff*

Jason: Huh?!

Tadayoshi quickly starts repeatedly cuts his face which Jason lets out a scream of pain and covers his face again when Tadayoshi was finished with him

Jason: MY FACE! MY PRECIOUS FACE!!

Alex: Tadayoshi...

Tadayoshi: I'm... fine

BeatBox: Guys... we need to go! This place is gonna blow!

Alex: W-Wait! We can stop it! Can't we!

Jason: Hehehehe...

Both Tadayoshi and Alex turn their attention to Jason who still has his face cover and lets out an insane laughter

Jason: YOU CAN'T STOP IT! NOTHING WILL! I WIN THIS ONE! I WIN!

Tadayoshi: You sure did? But will you be alive to be proud of your "victory"?

Jason: What?

Suddenly they felt the factory begin to shake and slowly collapsing

Tadayoshi: Kid... we need to go!

Alex: *nod*

Both Tadayoshi and Alex quickly run out of the factory leaving Jason as everything starts to pop and explode as the whole factory starts to collapse. As Tadayoshi and Alex were outside running, they start to see the twob that Alex lived explode because of the factory, but through the explosions, Alex notice a black inkling girl up ahead

Alex: Is that-

Tadayoshi: Darkling... we have to go now...

Both start to quickly escape before that Darklings could see them, but as Alex was starring at them, one of the Darkling stares back at her and glared at her.

Alex: Where are we going?

Tadayoshi: To the next town, we'll use the train station there and go out separate ways

Alex: What? Separate ways?

Tadayoshi: ... It's time for you to go on your own...

Alex: Are you doing ok?

Tadayoshi: I'm fine...

Alex finishes patching up Tadayoshi which he stands up and stretches a bit

Tadayoshi: but I'm wondering where are you going to go

Alex: ...

Tadayoshi: *sigh* I know you don't me to leave, but I can't always be there... you have to learn to be on your own

Alex: But... I never got the chance to ever give my gratitude to you...

Tada: I don't need it

Alex: Still... you did a lot of me... to help me change... but you still feel down and maybe worse than now... I want to at least get your happiness back

Tadayoshi: ...

Alex: Please... let me come...

Tadayoshi: ... I'm happy that you care back for me... but for now... I want you to go on your own... then maybe one day we met, you can repay that gratitude...

Alex: ...

Tadayoshi: ... come here

He opens out his arms to her which she rushes to him and hugs him and he hugs her back

Alex: Please don't somehow die on me...

Tadayoshi: I won't... and you better keep that smile off your

Alex: I will...

Soon a train arrives at the station which was Alex's ride. They both let go of each other as Alex steps in the trains and the door closes. Both Alex and Tadayoshi waves goodbye as the train slowly begins to leave to a new place where Alex can begin her life.

Alex: Thank you... for everything...

Tadayoshi continues to wave until he no longer sees the train until looking away and wait for his ride

Tadayoshi: I'm surprised that you didn't say goodbye

BeatBox: I didn't want to ruin the moment... but where are we gonna go now?

Tadayoshi: Inkopolis... Inkopolis square...

Thank you for reading Light in the Dark story. I do plan to do a different story that isn't from splatoon harem universe but for now... I'm gonna focus on the harem story for a bit...
