Marina wakes up and checks her clock and realize what day it is

Marina: OH, today's the day

Marina quickly gets up and looks through her closet on what clothes she should wear

Marina: hmm, maybe this one

After a few minutes, she heads downstairs to see pearl, sitting at the table, with her arms criss-cross

Marina pours herself some cereal and sits down with her

Marina: pearlie, are you still mad that you lost the splatfest

Pearl: not only that but your celebration isn't over

Marina: what do you mean

Pearl: well, you're going out with Tadayoshi, right

Marina: well... I wouldn't call it a celebration-

Pearl: well it is

Both went quiet for a few minutes and marina finishes her cereal

Marina: well I'm heading out now, bye pearlie

Pearl: bye rina

She closes the door as pearl was still looking grouchy

Pearl: I'll just go and work on our new album

Marina arrives at Tadayoshi's house, she was about to knock on the door till she stops herself

Marina: Oh wait, I almost forgot

Marina digs through her pocket and pulls out Tadayoshi's house key and unlocks his door

Marina: Tadayoshi

Marina realized it was awful quiet

Marina: where is he

Marina went looking up and down the house until she decides to look in his room

Marina opens the door to find the window wide open

She looks out the window, then realized that Tadayoshi was sun-bathing on the roof

Tadayoshi takes off his sun-glasses

Tadayoshi: took you a while

Marina: Oh thank god, I thought you disappeared

Tadayoshi: nope

Tadayoshi returns inside with Marina and he notices her clothes

Tadayoshi looks up and down at her

Marina: um, is something wrong

Tadayoshi looks at her

Tadayoshi: congratulations, you're wearing clothing that doesn't look too slutty

Marina turned red a bit

Marina: w-what do you mean

Tadayoshi give Marina a really look

Tadayoshi: really, you wear clothes that show most of your skin

Marina looks down

Marina: that is true

Tadayoshi: but other than that, you look nice

Marina smiles

Marina: thanks

Tadayoshi: anyway, what are we going to do today

Marina: well before we start, can we get a picture together

Tadayoshi: uh, why

Marina: well you know how guys-

Tadayoshi: ok, ok, I get it, and

Marina: well I thought maybe if we get a picture together, people won't bother us

Tadayoshi: you know, I can scare them, right...

Marina: well-

Tadayoshi: ... but I will do the picture, just this once

Marina: ok, thank you

Both Marina and Tadayoshi heads downstairs and sat on the couch

Tadayoshi: so do you want me to get close to like this or away from you

Marina thought for a moment

Marina: how about close

Tadayoshi: if you say so

Tadayoshi leans close to her and puts his arm around her shoulder, which cause Marina to turn bright red, but she able to calm down and take to photo

Marina: now I'll post this

As soon the photo was posted, views began to pour in and comments came out as, NOOOOOOOOO, or damn that lucky bastard

Marina get up

Marina: there is a place I want to bring you to

Tadayoshi get up

Tadayoshi: lead the way

They both walk out the door to start their date

Both Marina and Tadayoshi walk around and Tadayoshi was getting annoyed by everyone, who was staring at them, giving Tadayoshi dirty looks

Tadayoshi then turns at them with a death stare and scares them off

Suddenly the Inkopolis square live tv came on and played last news

Tadayoshi began to laugh a little after the new end

Marina: what

Tadayoshi: well, it's funny that how you and pearl trash talk to each other and yet, you both still have that same smile like your saying, everything is fine, I'm ok with the events that are happening right now

Marina: um

Tadayoshi: well anyway, you said there is a place you wanted to go

Marina: right this way

They both enter an indoor skating rink

Tadayoshi: you like skating

Marina: well never skate before

Both Tadayoshi and Marina went to the counter and got their ice skates

Tadayoshi was able to get on the rinks and skate fine, but he realized that marina had a hard time moving

Tadayoshi skates over to her

Tadayoshi: need help

Marina looks at him

Marina: no I'm-

Marina ends up slipping and falls over

Marina: Yeah, I need help, please

Tadayoshi puts out his hand

Tadayoshi: we'll take this slow

Marina takes his hand, which cause her to blush and they both began to skate

Marina looks at her hand that was holding on to Tadayoshi and she smiles

Marina: "I wish I could make you happy every time we're together"

After a few minutes went by and they were quiet until Tadayoshi spoke up

Tadayoshi: so, never got the chance to ask, but how did you meet pearl

Marina was still quiet

Marina: let's talk about this somewhere else

They both got off the rink, returned the skates and left the building, and sat at a bench

Marina: Before I met pearl, I worked as an engineer for DJ Octavio

Tadayoshi: kinda figured

Marina: but when I heard the Squid Sisters' music during Octavio's battle with Agent 3, I thought "This changes everything"

Tadayoshi: ...

Marina: after Octavio got locked up I left the canyons and met pearl when I was at the surface and together we became idols

Tadayoshi: how did other inkling thought of you, "I know what the answer is"

Marina: well the inkling girls didn't accept me, but the boys did, but when I and pearlie did our first concert, people loved us, but I realize... the inkling accept me, because of my appearance

Marina looks down sadly

Marina: I also know how people think of pearl

Tadayoshi became shocked that she knew about what other people think of pearl

Marina: I want to convince them that Pearl is great, but I know they won't listen... all because I'm an octoling

Tadayoshi looks down, then looks at her

Tadayoshi: Marina

Marina looks up at him

Tadayoshi: look, screw the people, they aren't real people

Marina: what do you mean

Tadayoshi: fake people only care about the outside of the person and they only care about themselves, but real people care about the inside,

Tadayoshi puts his hand on her face, which shocked her and made her blush

Marina: T-Tadayoshi, w-what are you-

Tadayoshi: look, just because your an octoling, doesn't mean you're ignored, You have people who have the heart to care about you like pearl, the squid sisters, agent 3 and 8, so don't look at the people who treat you a joke, look at the people who treat you like a family

Marina smiles and puts her hand on his

Marina: thank you

Tadayoshi then stand up

Tadayoshi: so where do you want to go next

Marina stands up with him

Marina: follow me

They finished up their day with their date, and they both realized that is was getting late

Tadayoshi: shall I take you home

Marina: actually, I want to do one more thing

Tadayoshi: and that is

They walked for a few minutes and they arrived at Tadayoshi's house

Tadayoshi: my house?

Marina: come with me

They both enter the house, head upstairs, and enter Tadayoshi's bedroom

Marina then open the bedroom window and climbs out and Tadayoshi follows

They both laid down and look at the night sky

Tadayoshi: huh, you do the same thing I like to do, I guess this is the last thing you wanted to do

Marina: yes

They both stare a the night sky for a while

She turns at him

Marina: hey, Tadayoshi

He turns at her

Tadayoshi: what

Marina: how come you didn't feature your name if were like family, and how do you know who is real or fake

Tadayoshi looks at the sky

Tadayoshi: well, I have my reasons, and also, I experience what you have before

She went shocked a bit

Tadayoshi: I use to keep hanging out with some kids when I was young, but one day, I went to hang out with them, and that hangout was the last time I ever tried to make friends

Marina: why

Tadayoshi: I asked if I could play with them, but they responded, "sorry, but we don't hang out with the kind of people with that face, nobody"

Tadayoshi: they walked away laughing, I still remember that line over and over, and it made give up on trying to find someone to befriend, someone to be live, someone... to be like a family

Marina: looks at the sky

After a few minutes Marina and Tadayoshi were watching a movie, but Tadayoshi realized that Marina leaning against him sleeping

Tadayoshi shuts off the tv

Tadayoshi: I minds as well sleep

He closed his eye and lean against Marina's head, falling asleep
