After rescuing Callie from the Octarians and bringing the peace back to Inkopolis again. The trio were back together and continued their journey as they met, battle and befriended with new people in the all new nerve center of Inkling culture, Inkopolis Square.

Their adventure was totally exciting (Author's note: And I'm not gonna spoil it here.) But it all paused in the middle when an Inkling boy, Lai was assigned in a special mission as Agent 3 and went out for an investigation with the leader of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, Cap'n Cuttlefish.

On the other side, it's been several months after the restoration between Inklings and Octolings. The Squid Sisters decided to take a break and pause in their path as they both wait for their friend to come back to them from his mission. So the same goes to their story as well. But in the meantime, another one goes on and this time. It all started deep down somewhere in the ocean.

As the Pale Summer Moonlight shimmers on the seafloor. An Octopus, unaware that dawn will bring capture. Rests within a trap, dreaming fleeting dreams...
