10:00am at the Octo Canyon...

*Blop*

I just arrived at the Octo Canyon for the first time and the place was far different from the Valley tho. I looked around and noticed that there's Cuttlefish Cabin which Marie was talking about.

Lai: Cap'n and Marie must be in there...

I walked up to the cabin and knocked the door gently. Soon, the door opened and it was Marie, still wearing her disguise tho. She beamed at me.

Marie: You came, Lai.

Lai: Yeah.. What's up?

Marie: We're gonna start discussing about these cases with gramps. Mind if you join in?

Lai: *nod* Sure.

We went inside the cabin and started our discussion as we sat down with Cap'n.. The atmosphere was so quiet without Callie's around us.

Marie: So still haven't got anything about Agent 1 and the Great Zapfish disappearance?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Yeah, I still haven't got any clues yet. But the only thing I knew about the Great Zapfish is now captured by the Octarians once again. But this time, Agent 1... One of my precious granddaughter is missing too.. And now I had no idea where could she been and how she felt right now. *sob*

Lai: Don't worry, we'll find her someday.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Thanks, Agent 3. I'll be counting on you two saving the Great Zapfish from now on. And please find Agent 1 as fast as you guys can.

Marie tries to cheer things up for her grandpa..

Marie: Well, she's one of our team as well. Right Lai?

Lai: Heh, of course! Let's start our missions already! And I'll go get my suit right now! *smile*

Marie: You're still keeping that Hero Suit?

Lai: Yeah? Why?

Marie: Looks pretty old and unfresh tho. Anyway, we'll be waiting for you at the outside.

Lai: Uhm... Okay.

As they went outside, I closed the door and start changing to my Hero Suit. Then, I grabbed my Hero Shot and the Ink Tank as I went outside meeting with them.

Lai: I'm ready now!

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Great, let's tear down their limbs and retrieve back our Zapfishes once again!

All: Yes, Cap'n!

Marie grabbed her Hero charger and went to Tentakeel Outpost with me.

Marie: Actually Lai, you really need a change tho.

Lai: Wh- What? Why?

Marie: I think your suit doesn't smells good right now.. Do you even practice your basic hygience?

Lai: ...

I stared at her in confuse...

Marie: What? I'm telling the truth tho.

Lai: Pretend that I didn't hear anything..

Marie: *giggle*

Lai: So which kettle should we take on first or split up instead?

Marie: Aren't you the leader? You're the one who'll make the call.

Lai: Just seeking suggestion from you. What do you think?

Marie: Well, let's just stick together. I took a break from my career anyway.

Lai: Let's take the first one!

Marie: Okay..

We went to the first kettle which it's just located at the center of Sector 1 and behind the boss kettle. I start inking the first kettle to uncover it. Then we turned into our Squid Form as we entered the kettle.

Timeskip...

As we got spawned on our spawnpoint, there's a few of power eggs locate at the path covered with our ink color. Marie asks me before we start proceeding..

Marie: Man, this takes me back when we were together in Octo Valley. It's been two years since the last mission we had.

Lai: Time flies fast tho..

Marie: *sigh* Agreed...

We start proceeding by riding on the launchpad and reached to the first checkpoint. As soon as we landed, we saw a large path of ink which was covered with Octarian's ink. I inked a path for us and we took cover for a while. We glanced around and saw an Octotrooper was just patrolling around here as well.

Lai: Well, this is gonna be a piece of cake for us.

Marie: But this is just the beginning, you never know what's happen next.

Lai: Yeah yeah, proceed with caution.

I showed up in front of him and splatted the trooper immediately. Then, a squid ring had appeared in mid air.

Lai: What's that?

Marie: It's a squid ring. Jump through it and you'll get power egg. Trust me, you're gonna use it someday.

Lai: Okay..

I jump through it and acquire a power egg just like Marie said.

Marie: Nice jump. Let's go to the next checkpoint.

Lai: How do you know about this?

Marie: It's just my guess..

Lai: Oh..

As we proceeded, this time it was shielded Octotrooper guarding the place.

Marie: Not a lot of cover here. Think you can distract him for me?

Lai: I'll try!

I rush straight toward him and drift pass him, focusing his target on me. Marie took the shot at the trooper as he had turned his back to her and he got splatted.. We rode the launchpad and landed on the second checkpoint. There's Octotroopers are down below us. Marie went checked on them..

Marie: This height, it reminds me of Callie.

Lai: Yeah.. The only one she's afraid of..

Marie: Still wondering how did she managed to get across the glass bridge in Paris.

Lai: I carried her all the way to the end, remember?

Marie: Oh yeah now I remember, that's kinda sweet tho.

Lai: I'll take on these Octoslobs. Back me up, will you?

Marie: Need you to say?

I jumped down and take out the first trooper immediately. The other two were shocked and got splatted by Marie. Then, she jumped down as well. We kept proceeding, along breaking some boxes and splatting some Octotroopers. Then, we rode the launchpad.

Timeskip... at Checkpoint 4...

Marie: This place is heavy-guarded tho.

Lai: That's not all.

Marie: What did you see?

Lai: On the other side, I could see there's a box on the platform with launchpad. Might contains a sunken scroll.

Marie: How do you know that?

Lai: We would miss that one if we ride the launchpad first.

Marie: Okay.. Hope you're right..

We jumped down and both took our cover behind the walls. I gave a signal to Marie, she nodded then she threw a Splat Bomb first. We showed up and started our attack.

*Splattata* *Pow*

As we took out every last of them in the area. I ink the platform where the box is. I swim up and break the box. But, it contains a odd-shape of sardine instead of sunken scroll. I jumped down and asked Marie if she knows about it.

Lai: What's this?

Marie: It's a Sardinium. One of the components that used for upgrading weapons. It's pretty rare right now.

Lai: But our weapons is already in max level.

Marie: Sheldon might know how to use it so better keep it tho.

Lai: Okay... But still haven't got the scroll.

We swim up the wall again and rode the launchpad this time. We landed and went acrossed a narrow line platform in front of us, I notice a box just down below.

Marie: Don't look down or do.

Lai: Aren't those were the same thing?

Marie: Whatever... Just don't.

Then we slipped down through the grates after popping the balloon fish. I went behind the wall and spotted the sunken scroll. I break the box and grab the scroll.

Lai: Alright, let's read it.

I open the scroll and here's the content..

"A shock wave struck while one young lady was performing at the recent Youth Folk-Singing contest, doing damage to the venue. Fortunately no one was injured."

Lai: That's disaster but.. She seems familiar, I wonder who is she and she's from Calamari as well.

Marie: Trust me, Lai. That actually was Pearl.

Lai: Wait, what? From Off The Hook?

Marie: Yeah, her crown gives us the answer. And I guess you had already heard about them..

Lai: *nod* Yeah, but I never met her before in Calamari. Even tho I still remember that accident.

Marie: Me either..

After we got the Sardinium and the Sunken Scroll and had reached to the final checkpoint, I received a can with a picture of Missile Launcher as I break the boxes.

Lai: What's this? A special weapon?

Marie: It's called "Tenta Missiles". It targets multiple enemies at a time and rains down with the missiles from above. You should give it a try.

Lai: Okay..

I opened up the can and grabbed two launchers. I share one of them with Marie.

Lai: Here, wanna try?

Marie: Huh? No, thanks..

Lai: Let's try it out!

Marie: ... *looks at him*

Lai: C'mon, don't make me feel awkward.

Marie: *sigh and grin* It can't be helped..

Lai: Yeah! *smile*

Marie grabs it and we start targeting at the Octotroopers. As our targets were locked on them, we both fired several missiles straight up to the sky, then it rains down on the troopers. Splatting all of them in an area.

Marie: I gotta admit it, you do really sound like Callie.

Lai: ...

I went silent for a while, then I reply to her..

Lai: That's what Callie said to me. She sometimes said that I sound like you..

A flashback in the Plaza...

Callie: Let's go to the Jels!

Lai: But we just went yesterday, Callie.

Callie: C'mon Lai, you know you're starting to sound like Marie! *pout*

Marie: (Geez, Lai.) *giggle*

Lai: Okay okay, fine with me tho..

Callie: Let's go then! *smiles and holds Lai's hand*

Lai: Wait, slow down a bit will you?!

Flashback ends...

Lai: If she was here with us too..

Marie: ...I know how you feel. We all were worried sick since she was gone missing. But don't let them affects you and our mission, Lai. We know she'll be fine.

Lai: Yeah... We knew her for a long time..

Marie: Anyway, keep your head in the game. We got Zapfish to save.

Lai: Okay..

After we cleared the area and unlocked the vault, we rode the launchpad and super jumped to the Zapfish's location. I bust the shield and grab the Zapfish. We open our mic from the Hero Headset as well.

Marie: The Zapfish is saved, Cap'n..

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Nice work, Agents. Man, this sure brings me back to how you guys were working together in Octo Valley.

Lai: Let's head back.

Marie: Right.

We turned off our mic and super jumped back to the kettle, we entered back to the Tentakeel Outpost.

Lai: Same as us, but only had 8 limbs instead of 10.

Lai: What? How?
