Callie's POV

I was taking a nap in my room after done patrolling around the area where it's in the deepest down of Octo Canyon, Cephalon HQ. My memories is still blurry and can't even remember a single thing. I still don't know about my parents, my past, my friends and the most important, my team... Wait, do I have a team before as well? Never mind.. But since I start working with the Octarians, I always dreamed about a girl holding a Hero Charger and a boy with Hero Shot every time when I take a nap or sleep, but I never get to see their faces tho. Then, someone was shaking me during my sleep.

Callie: Ugh... Can you see I'm sleeping?

Octoling: Sorry to burst your dream, sweetie. But we have work to do. Or else the Leader isn't gonna be happy with us.

Callie: Sorry.

I woke up from my bed, rubbing my eyes to clear the vision. Then, I grab my Octo Shot on the table and head out from my room with her. Her name is Octavia, she was my first real friend and we're working in the same team. She treats me very well like her own sister, way different than the other Octolings those who're being just "loyalty" to our Leader. But the truth is, she's a granddaughter of the Octarians Leader, Octavio.. Octavia suddenly asks me, trying to have a conversation with me.

Octavia: Hey! You wanna guess what mission do we get?

I reply to her in depressed..

Callie: Uhm... Patrolling again?

Octavia: That's right!

Callie: *sigh* This again....

She tries to cheer me up..

Octavia: Hey! Think about the bright side, we can get to spend time with each other in this way!

Callie: Yeah but... Still boring actually..

Octavia: Yeah.. Me too, let's go get some ice creams and watch the view together on the saucer after this!

A smile spreads across my face after hearing it from her..

Callie: Sure thing! I'd love to!

Timeskip... 5:00pm, outside the Cephalon HQ..

Octavia's POV

It's been several days now since Callie had joined the Octarians in Octo Canyon. She really didn't know how she got here and I really had no idea for how long do I need to lie about her past. To be honest, it hurts me a little bit, or maybe more. In my past, I always thought the Inklings are ruthless, heartless and the most of it is, cruel.. But it's just how my grandpa thinks about them since Inklings always been in a thorn of his heart since after he got defeated twice and captured by the Agents. After he had escaped from the globe and planned his revenge against the Agents, that makes me realize, that the real cruelty is him, my grandpa. He secretly swapped the shades and let Callie fell into his trap by hynoptizing her. But now she's with me.. And I have to take care of her, for the Agents, for the boy who had changed me after how he spared my life in Saltspray Rig in two years ago. This is the only thing that I can do to make things right.. And yeah, to atone my sin.. Anyway, we just done patrolling around sector 4, Slimeskin Garrison.

Callie: Finally.. We're done!

Octavia: I'll go get us some ice creams. Wait me at the saucer! And don't forget my Octoball!

Callie: Okay! Come here, little cutie!

Octoball: Pip blor! ^^

Timeskip...

After I went to the underground city and bought some of them from the store, I hurried back to the Canyon to meet up with her.. Then, we ride the saucer till we reach and stop at the highest point of the Canyon where there's the beautiful but blazing sunlight from above and where we can see the view of the Inkling city from a far as well. And yeah.. Sector 1, Tentakeel Outpost where all the Agents are there, including their hideout too... Rumors said they had completed all the kettles except the boss one in Suction Cup Lookout, just hope they'll be fine in the end. Callie calls out to me and I snap out from my thought.

Callie: Hey, your ice cream's melting..

Octavia: Ah! Sorry!

I quickly take a bite of it to prevent it from dripping more.. Callie asks me in worried..

Callie: You alright?

Octoball: Blor?

Octavia: I'm... I'm fine! ><"

Callie: You looked something's troubling you. Mind telling me what's going on?

Octavia: It's nothing else really..

I tried to change the subject..

Octavia: Hey! Do you still remember our first met?

Callie: Yeah I remember that! I was wandering around the Canyon until your gramps had recruited me after you found me.

Octavia: So how's your life in Octo Canyon?

Callie: Well... It was strict in the first, but since I met you.. It was all better than alone right now..

Octavia: *chuckles* Thanks to me, you'll be able to see the light after being in the underground for so long. And it's just the two of us here.

Octoball: Blor...

Octavia: Yeah, you too goofball.. Didn't forgot you there..

Callie: Hehe.. Sounds funny when you call it with that.

Octavia: Then what should I name it?

Callie: I don't know... Haven't thought for that one..

Octavia: Maybe just stick with goofball. It feels close with that way.

Callie: Yeah...

After a moment of relaxing...

Callie: I feel I had been here before...

Octavia: Huh..? How?

Callie: Not here actually... Somewhere on top of the container with two other people and they both sitting beside me, and we all having ice creams just like this.

Octavia: You mean those two who keep appearing in your dream all the time?

Callie: Yeah, although I can't see their faces at all but I know they're Inklings judging by their tentacles.. I can feel that they are out there, trying to find me.. And that questions me..

Octavia: Hm?

Callie: Is your grandpa just lying to us about them? About how they treated us after the Great Turf War?

Octavia: Well... It's complicated... But I'm sure he's just lying..

Callie: How?

Octavia: I met an Inkling boy in Saltspray Rig before. That day, our mission was to kidnap someone from the city and terrorize the Inkopolis by holding the hostage alive.. Suddenly, an Agent showed up and stopped us before it begins..

Then, I started chuckling...

Octavia: But surprisingly and funny is, he didn't splat me. He was actually asking me for help to avoid his identity being exposed by the hostage.

Callie: So the main threat is the hostage, huh? xD

Octavia: Yeah... *chuckle* I would never forget that one, especially what he had said to me before we both left.. He said...

She suddenly blurts out words that actually got me surprised..

Callie: "We could be friends instead of enemies..."

Octavia: Eh!? How did you know that!?

Callie: I don't know... Something's just awakening in my mind.. So I blurted out without thinking of it..

Octavia: ... (Must be the same guy that appears in her dream too huh?) So, Callie...

Callie: Huh?

Octavia: Mind telling me what's your boy looks like in your dream?

Callie: Uhm...

She scratches her head..

Callie: He's like... With blue hair and a bit taller than me.. But the fact is, he's actually younger than me.

Octavia: How do you feel about him?

Callie: Well.. It's kinda like.. A spark of happiness shines in my heart tho.

Octavia: So what are you gonna do when you meet him?

Callie: I got no clue for that... Maybe he can tell me about my past, about who I was before..

I smile at her...

Octavia: You'll meet up with him one day.. And I'm sure about it.

Callie: Hope so.. But after all that dream I had, I made a song for it. Wanna hear it?

Octavia: Oh cool! Sign me up!

Callie: Okay.. Here goes...

She starts humming to start up the song..

She takes a bite of her ice cream to quench her thirst from all her singing. Then, she commented..

Callie: Mhm! That is some super sweet ice cream, isn't it?

Octavia: Yeah.. I bought it specially from the store that I just had a hard time to get it from the long queue.

Callie: So what flavor is it?

Octavia: Of course it's the Sea-salt one! We were used to live in the ocean before we got evolved!

Callie: Sea-salt, huh? That's familiar...

After minutes of silencing..

Callie: Thanks, Octavia.. For bringing me here and being my first real friend...

The Octoball jumps in excitement..

Octavia: Nah, you guys flattered me.. Now let me ask you one more thing before we go back..

Callie: What is it?

Octavia: Do you still hate the Inklings? After how you dreamed about them..

Callie: Uhm... I don't know if I should be hating them or not, and it's kinda pointless tho..

Octavia: Yeah, got a point there.

Callie: But deep down inside, I could still feel the happiness about how they treated me in the past, even I don't have any memories of it.

Octavia: So I guess you don't hate them at all..

Callie: Nah, it doesn't matter to me. But how much time do we stay here till we meet them?

Octavia: Only the right time will tell the right answer.. And we should go back right now.

Callie: Sure..

We went back to the Octo Canyon...

Lai: ...

Marie: What? Aren't you happy for owning an Inktuber back in The Shoal?

Marie: How? I don't think so..

Lai: I mean my eyes were actually closing during in the whole process and my moves were perfectly matched to the A.I in the screen. Is that even possible for you to do that?

Marie: Well, just gotta build a good connection between each other so it shouldn't be a problem..

Lai: Ugh... I'll be definitely get roast by his fans tomorrow.

Marie slowly gets close to him and sprays her charm at him..

Marie: Maybe tonight we can "strengthen" our connection too so I can get an S+ for my song as well.
