Two years ago, in the event of Splatoon 1. There was a boy named Lai, a turf war battler from Calamari region and also an intimate friend of Callie and a bestie for Marie. They all were met with each other during that fateful event.

During the disappearance of the Great Zapfish, he got recruited by the leader of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, Cap'n Cuttlefish and became one of the Squidbeak Agents known as Agent 3.

Then, he found out that the missing case was part of the Octarian's plan and their purpose is to have their glorious revenge from the great turf war in 100 years ago.

As he had traveled deep through the Octo Valley and retrieved some of the Zapfishes, he met his best friends, Callie and Marie. And they carried the identity of Agent 1 and Agent 2 in Octo Valley and they were Cap'n's grandchildren as well.

But one day, the leader got squidnapped by the Octarians, three of them were forced to be separated due to the lack of time and they went through various missions on their own. But, they were always together despite of that.

Soon, they finally retrieved the Great Zapfish and rescued Cap'n during the confrontation with the leader of the Octarians, Dj Octavio. Then, he got arrested in the snow globe and the peace had returned to Inkopolis, but not between these two races, the Inklings and the Octolings.

After the Great Zapfish was saved and their adventure had ended, these three heroes were back working on their own career. But, they're still always be together, both in work and at play, especially having fun through the Splatfest held by the Splatfest team. Their friendship and their bonds would be last longer or even forever..

About nine months have passed since the final Splatfest.

Twilight lowers its curtain on Inkopolis. Neon signs paint the dusk in brilliant shades of pink and green. The Squid Sisters dance on, as though driven by the Inkling love of battling for turf.

Memories such as these linger, vividly etched in our mind, but feel too like remnants of a long-forgotten past.

It happened the night of the final Splatfest had came to an end.

The showdown of Callie versus Marie ended in victory for Marie, with Callie and Lai in Team Marie. And there was no ill will between these three. The Squid Sisters left the studio arm in arm, smiling and laughing as they always had. The bond between them would still continue, unbroken for years to come.

But when one story ends, another one begins..

And it all started at the newest town called "Inkopolis Square." Where all the freshest Inklings were gathered there...
