Chapter 31
Chapter 31
"Pignite, Arm Thrust!" White shouted as the attacking Liepard starting scratching at her Pignite's chest.
Pignite let out a snort and started punching the opposing pokemon. The Liepard let out a yowl and pelted back into the forest.
"Don't bother chasing it," she said as the Pignite tried to run after it.
"But I wouldn't kill, the thing would just faint!" he protested.
"No. Don't chase it. You'll just run into a tree." White repeated, bending down so she could look at Pignite's face.
They were on Route 6 near the Driftveil City. White had lied about going to Mistralon City so she could avoid going to Driftveil. She didn't have enough nerves to go to Driftveil.
Pignite was her own pokemon, but White rarely battled with him. He was released when he was a Tepig because he was blind in one eye. White had took him in and kept him in her PC or at the Day Care.
"You're getting better." White said encouragingly as she looked at his blind eye. "I'm sure you'll evolve soon."
Pignite straightened up with pride. He rarely got any praise for his fighting skills.
"Let's move on. Wait, where is Penelope?" she added, looking around.
"I don't know, I thought she was with you." said Pignite.
"Well, she is crippled, so she couldn't have crawled that far away." White muttered as she started walking into the trees.
Penelope was her Oshawott, and was Pignite's friend. Like Pignite, she was abandoned because she was crippled. She had lived with Pignite before White had took them in. Unlike most pokemon, Penelope never wanted to evolve, so it was hard for White to keep track of her even if she was crippled. She could still crawl very fast.
"What if a wild pokemon got her?" Pignite asked, his eyes widening.
"We would have heard her." White dismissed.
"Maybe I can help." a voice hissed from behind her. She yelped and whipped around.
N was a few feet behind her, holding her small Oshawott in his arms.
"Hello!" Penelope giggled and squirmed in his arms. Pignite started to snarl at N.
"What are you trying to do, give me a heart attack?!" White snapped and she took Penelope away from her brother.
"You're welcome!" N snarled as if he didn't hear her.
"What are you doing here anyway?" she asked, turning away from him.
"To ask you who the one eyed kid is!" he growled. White, who had started to walk away from him, froze.
"You're jealous, aren't you?" she sneered quietly.
"No, I'm not! I just want to know who he is exactly!" snapped N.
"He's my friend. I lived with him a year after you left." White explained. She looked at him to see that her brother looked satisfied. "What do you have against Sky?" she added, giving him a stern look.
"Nothing!" N said hurriedly. Pignite snorted.
"You can't fool me!" White snapped. "I'm already suspicious of you!"
Her brother glared at her before saying, "Are you dating him?"
It felt like the whole world fell silent. White stared at him.
"Why do you care?" she demanded angrily. Penelope was watching the siblings curiously from White's shoulder.
"Because I don't want my sister dating a-"
"A what?!" She shouted, suddenly burning with fury. "A what, exactly?!"
"I don't want you dating a mad man!" N yelled at her. The words 'mad man' echoed around them.
White bit her lip to keep herself from swearing at him. Her fists were clenched and she was shaking.
"Sky Blue is not a mad man!" White finally snarled. "He is just as sane as you and me!"
"He doesn't act like it!" N snapped.
"And I got an answer!" she screamed, stepping away from him, "He has to act insane so your little friends don't go looking for him! He's scared! He has a talent with technology, and has used it to make amazing inventions that many would die to have! But Team Plasma wants him to join them and use his talent for evil! So he has to hide by pretending to be insane! Team Plasma would never hire someone so insane! The only reason we haven't dated is because of YOU! Sky is scared that you'll find out about his feelings and go after him!"
"But you seem to be very close!" N yelled at her.
White stamped her foot and bellowed, "Because he was like another brother to me! He took care of me when you didn't! HE LOVES ME FOR WHO I AM!"
"I'm your brother-"
"YOU DIDN'T DO A GOOD JOB AT BEING ONE! I STILL DON'T THINK YOU ACT LIKE MY OLDER BROTHER! YOU'RE NOT THE BROTHER I ONCE KNEW! YOU'RE JUST A COWARD AND A LIAR! SKY BLUE ACTS LIKE A BETTER BROTHER THAN YOU'LL EVER BE! GOOD DAY, MISTER HARMONIA!"
Before N could say anything else, White whirled around and ran away from him, Pignite squealing and running after his trainer. She heard N shout something but she couldn't understand it.
"You're in trouble!" Pignite sneered after five minutes of running.
"Be quiet!" She snapped.
Penelope giggled again, still sitting on White's shoulder.
"That goes for you too!" White growled. The two pokemon fell silent.
"Do you think he'll go after your friend?" Penelope asked nervously.
White didn't answer. She wouldn't put it past him to go see Sky and see if she had been telling the truth.
"I would go and warn Sky!" Pignite giggled. He apparently had enjoyed seeing White take out her anger on N.
"Why?" she asked.
"Well, he's gonna have to watch out. He's not exactly on good terms with N." he replied, starting to slow down. White frowned.
"Fine," she started, setting Penelope on Pignite's shoulder. "You two can go and warn him. Tell Sky to not be surprised if he gets a visit from my brother."
"Us?!" Penelope squeaked.
"But I can't see well and she can't walk!" Pignite protested.
"But I trust you both. Maybe more than some pokemon." White said calmly, kneeling down to see the two pokemon.
Penelope looked frightened, but Pignite started to walk away, looking frustrated.
"Fine, but if we die, I'll blame it on you!" he retorted as he disappeared into the bushes. White chuckled and made her way through the forest.
Night was falling, and the stars were coming out. It wasn't safe to be out at night anymore. Every time White saw the night sky, she was reminded of all the people she had lost. Somehow, the night had always felt cold and frightening to her.
Then White froze. She thought she saw a small flash of red light that she knew very well.
Tiny.
Two large but narrow eyes blinked at her from a nearby bush. The red light shrank and was soon the size of a fingernail. The eyes blinked one last time before vanishing.
White waited a minute before walking again. Tiny had been following her ever since she had released her. The release had been a blow to the Espeon, so she's been following her former trainer to try and get White to allow her back to the team. But she has always pretended that she never sees her.
She shook her head and soon reached a cave. It was dug into a small cliff, a yellow web stretched across the entrance.
White stepped in front of the entrance and pressed the button on one of her pokeballs. A flash of red light appeared next to her, and Seth the Serperior appeared.
"Yes?" he asked, slightly annoyed.
White pointed at the web and said, "Use Cut." The Serperior frowned and struck his tail across the web. It fell to the ground, revealing the gaping hole in the cliff.
"Thank you, that was all." She told him, returning a glaring Seth to his pokeball. White looked over her shoulder before strolling inside.
Chargestone Cave was filled with rocks that glowed blue, so eerie turquoise glows were scattered across the cave. Sounds of electricity echoed off the walls.
White walked down a rocky path that led deeper into the cave. She saw glimpses of Joltik and other small pokemon.
She finally found a large hole in side a wall. "Jo Jo?" she called hesitantly.
There was no respond. Then a large Galvantula crawled out of the hole.
"Hellooooooooooooo!" Jo Jo squealed as she saw who it was. She looked behind White before saying "Where's Penelope and Pignite?"
White had traded Sky her Arcanine for his Joltik. Jo Jo had evolved while she fought a Boldore.
"Warning Sky about my brother." She hissed as she sat on the ground. Jo Jo crawled next to her. "You saw N?"
White nodded.
"He asked me about Sky."
"And you said?"
"I told him that Sky was more like a brother than he ever was."
Jo Jo's expression brightened. She looked happy that White had shown her trainer that much respect.
White ignored her, and folded her arms. She had been staying in the cave for a few days already, but the place was still creepy.
"Why do we have to hide in here?" Jo Jo finally asked. White shrugged.
"Because I don't want to go to Mistralon or Driftveil."
The Galvantula blinked but didn't reply. Jo Jo looked around and then said "Did you break the web?"
"Yes, I did." White replied.
Jo Jo hissed furiously and crawled toward the cave entrance. "Where are you going?" White yelled after her.
"To fix that web!" Jo Jo called back.
"Is that really necessary?"
"Yes, yes it is." Then Jo Jo added, "It was my web."
White snorted as the Galvantula disappeared. She never understood what happens inside Jo Jo's head. That pokemon had been with Sky Blue too long.
She pulled a small stone from her pocket and started to play with it in her hand. It was a brooch with a small rainbow colored stone inside it. A gray, striped hurricane symbol was carved on the stone.
This brooch was supposed to be given to N when their grandfather died. Their grandfather had left him the stone inside the brooch, but White had disguised it inside the brooch. Her grandfather's lawyer had said that she could give N the stone when she met him. But she never did, nor wanted to hand him the stone.
She knew what powers the stone held. It allowed certain pokemon holding another kind of stone to temporarily evolve. White had only discovered two pokemon that could evolve like this, and that was Sky Blue's Areodactyl, Aero, and Rapi. She had found the certain stone to evolve a Rapidash, and had made Rapi a necklace with the stone inside. Mira had found the stone for Aero at one of the jewelry stores in Castelia City.
White then clipped the brooch onto her coat collar. She rubbed it absent mindedly. She listened to the dripping water from the ceiling. Jo Jo still didn't return. She folded her arms again and fell asleep.
~~~
Ello.
Sorry it took awhile. My mom finally let me read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, so I was listening to that. I don't know what's wrong with me. I didn't cry until the Epilogue -_- Don't ask. But Harry Potter is bad for me. I'll start twisting people's feels after this. SO BEWARE. *Disappears dramatically*
Lol Just kidding.
SO. I think you guys know what White has. It's so simple. But for those who don't know, she has is a Mega Ring (It's a brooch in this case) You get a Mega Ring in Pokemon X and Y, and they mega evolve certain pokemon.
Let me clear two things up:
1. I am a gal of action. I'm a bit violent for a Christian :P I like stories with A LOT of feel... twisting... stuff xD One example is Harry Potter. So that's why there is a lot of feels and misery. I'm such a cruel person. No wonder people think I'm weird .-. Hitler was nicer than me (I'M MUCH NICER THAN HIM, TRUST ME)
2. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MEGA RAPIDASH. DON'T GO LOOKING FOR A RAPIDASHITE THINGY IN THE XY GAMES. IT DOESN'T EXIST. I MADE THAT UP. NONE OF WHITE'S POKEMON COULD MEGA EVOLVE, SO I JUST MADE UP ONE.
Ok, I'm done. Please leave a vote and/or comment! Every vote or comment makes my day! :)
Bye bye! :D
