Chapter 1
"Do you think I care about you leaving Team Plasma?!" White had screamed through the night.
"Aren't you glad?! Team Plasma is gone, Whitney! You're not threatened anymore!" N shouted back at her, but White merely hissed and stomped her staff on the ground.
"Yes, I am threatened! Ghetsis will rise Team Plasma up again! I'm sure of it! We are both targets! We are enemies to them! They will kill us! AND DON'T CALL ME WHITNEY!" she bellowed furiously.
N stared at her. He obviously didn't like being yelled at by his little sister.
White turned away. Hot tears slid down her face as she said with what she tried to be a strong voice, "I don't want to see you again. It's best that way. Just leave me in peace. Good bye, Natural..."
"Whitney, I-" but N was drowned out by the crack of thunder.
"Go Thundrus!" White cried as she threw a pokeball into the air.
The legendary Thundrus appeared, and White climbed onto it's tail, like it was a swing. It flew off, and that was the last time White saw her older brother.

Two years later, the present...
"White, hey, White," a gruff voice said in White's ear. "White, it'ls getting away."
White jerked back to reality. A pokemon was pulling at her fishing pole. She started to pull the line in, but the Water Type had already gotten away.
Something sighed next to her. Her Arcanine, Archy, was watching the river.
"Err... it was probably just a Frillish anyway," She said dismissively.
"What was it this time?" Archy asked, turning to face her with a suspicious look on his face. White bowed her head.
"The fight..." She muttered.
Archy sighed and shook his head before asking, "White, why can't you forgive him? He has written to you a few times. He seems desperate. You need to let all of this go."
She snorted at this. "Natu- I mean N, doesn't love me." White snarled. Archy raised an eyebrow.
"How do you know?" he challenged. White put a hand in her overcoat pocket and pulled out a letter. She straightened it out and read a loud.
Dear Whitney,
Please write back, because Zourak is getting tired of telling me that you're in Johto and have not been able to read this. I know I should not have left you in the forest, or trusted Ghetsis. You are a fine person, and a great trainer. You are the best sister ever, so please write back ASAP.
Signed
Natural
Archy looked at her after she finished reading.
"I didn't know that you told him that you were in Johto." he chuckled.
"You never asked!" White snapped. "Anyway, one thing is that he always called me Whitney to annoy me. Another is that he never admits defeat. Not when it comes to me. Last is that he never gives me a complement. Not in a good mood that is."
They looked at each other for a minute. Archy was smiling a little. "You should at least talk to him." he finally said.
"No." White said flatly. This ended the conversation, until a loud sound behind them made the trainer and pokemon jump.
"Oh my gosh, White!" a familiar voice yelled excitedly behind them. They both turned around to see White's old friend, Bianca. They had met two years ago, and have been helping Professor Juniper since, but Bianca was the professor's assistant. White only helped out on very rare occasions.
"Bianca! I haven't seen you in weeks!" White declared, accidentally showing her excitement as she stood up.
Bianca hugged her. "Oh, White! It's so good to see you!" Bianca chirped as she let go.
"Same here. What are you doing anyway?" she asked, and Bianca pulled out a small cylinder case in reply.
"Giving Pokemon to new trainers, I'm going to Aspertia City!" she explained. "Hey, why don't you come? Cheren is gym leader there, and he would love to see you again!"
Archy barked and wagged his tail. White and her brother were one of the few people to understand pokemon. No one knew this except for White's closest friends, and none of them were presently in Unvoa as far as she knew.
"Well, will I be in the way?" White asked uncertainly.
"Not at all! Come on!" Bianca assured her happily, and pulled at the other trainer's arm. White gave a small smile and ran after her. Archy barked and pelted behind them.
Aspertia City was just ahead since they were currently on Route 19. The route was small, so it would only take ten minutes. White had not visited this city yet, though she had been on the route for a few weeks already.
Usually, White would have been annoyed by Bianca's presence. Anyone would, but White was more of a loner. However, she had spent the past two years trying to isolate herself from her friends, and she was tired of having just Archy for company.
Soon they reached the city gate. Bianca looked very excited as she ran through the city gate with White and Archy behind her.
"This will be fun! It always reminds me of when I got my first pokemon!" she said in a chirpy manner making White give off a small but uncomfortable smile.
She didn't receive her starter pokemon. She actually stole her's from Professor Juniper. White was eventually caught a few weeks after the theft, but the professor let her off on a second chance. She said that the Snivy White stole had really trusted her, and that it had shown more affection toward her than it did to anyone else.
When they came into the city, White tried to keep herself from gasping. The city was small, but the buildings were huge. It was very sunny, and trees grew almost everywhere. There were a few people walking around the streets with their pokemon, chatting away happily.
"Isn't it pretty? I come here often!" Bianca told White with a grin. Archy stood next to her and barked happily.
"This place is awesome! Way better than stupid Route 19!" White heard him say. White nodded. She wouldn't have any problems here.
"Come on, White! Let's go!" said Bianca and she pulled at her arm. White sighed a little, but followed her. Archy continued to bark and ran after them.
"Where are you meeting these rookies?" White asked as Bianca pulled her along.
"At the ledge up there!" Bianca explained. "It overlooks the forest!" White shrugged as they climbed up the stairs to the overlook.
The forest was beautiful. There was a stream that ran through it, and it was crystal clear. Bug pokemon were playing below, and Pidove flew above them. White rarely saw forests such as this.
"How old are you now?" White asked her friend.
Bianca shrugged. "I'm almost 16. Same as you. Why?" she asked.
"Just asking." White replied.
"White, White, White, White, White!" Archy chanted, but to Bianca they were barks.
"What?" White snapped. But she saw a girl run up the stairs, who was chased by two boys. They looked around eleven or twelve, maybe even thirteen.
"Amos, get away!" the girl giggled as one boy tried to grab her. "Hugh, stop him!" The other boy grabbed the other around the waist.
"Leia, small Cousin Amos won't hurt anyone!" Hugh said.
"I will if I need to!" Amos snarled and gripped Hugh's hands.
"Oh! What a cute pokemon!" Leia said and pointed at Archy.
"White! Save me! Girls are strong!" Archy yelped. White merely smirked and Bianca laughed as Leia hugged Archy. The Arcanine never liked being hugged by strangers, but he never bit or snapped.
"I'm sorry, but Archy never likes being hugged," White finally said to the girl.
"Oops, sorry! Is he yours?" Leia asked, letting go of Archy. White nodded, and Bianca stepped forward.
"Are you guys Amos, Hugh, and Leia Jackson?" Bianca asked the trio, and Hugh nodded.
"Yeah, you must be Bianca then, right?" he replied back
"Yep! This is my friend, White! And that's Archy!" she introduced themselves, gesturing to White and Archy.
"It's nice meeting you!" said Leia happily. "This is my brother, Hugh, and my cousin, Amos!" Amos waved and Hugh smiled.
"Ok! So the professor said that Hugh has a pokemon, but needs a pokedex, right?" asked Bianca as they nodded.
Then Bianca opened the cylinder case to reveal three pokeballs. Each pokeball quivered slightly. "Alrighty! These are your new friends, you two! You may choose from Snivy, Tepig, or Oshawott. Only one now!" she added as White sat on a nearby bench. She didn't want to intrude.
Finally, after a few minutes, Leia chose Snivy and Amos had Oshawott. Hugh had a Tepig already. White was reminded of when she stole her Snivy, which made her stomach squirm uncomfortably.
"Excellent! Now the professor has entrusted you three with Pokedexs! They will hold info on every pokemon in Unvoa! You and your new pokemon will help fill it up!" Bianca explained to the rookies, and handed each kid a Pokedex.
"Now I can beat Mr. Eldest to the top!" Amos said and glared at Hugh.
"Don't get so smart!" Hugh snapped. Archy chuckled.
"Um...White?"
At the sound of her name, White turned around to see Leia.
"Yeah?" White asked, raising an eyebrow. Leia looked nervous about speaking to her.
"Well, I challenge you to a battle!"
