Kiba ran along the road with akamaru, giving the pup some exercise in the early hours of the mornings, shikamaru still askeep and hinata making soke breakfast for the team. Shiro sat at the base of a tree relaxing.
"I still cant ebelieve we have such a simple mission"
"I know" hinata smiled.

Shiro gigled at her and looked up the trunk of the tree. Only not noticing something. Hinata had became a lot more talkative lately. Shiro glanced to hinata.

"Do you still like uzumaki-san hinata?" The girl's face went red at the mention of her crushes name.
"Y-yeah.." Shiro smiled
"I think you two would make a cute couple" shiro says smiling, she too had became a lot more confident in speaking normally. Hearing akamaru bark shiro looked up and smiled brightly.
"Hey boy" she greeted scratching Akamaru under the chin. The puppy's tail was wagging furiously as kiba caught up with the dog and smirked
"He likes you a lot shiro" shiro giggled again, cheeks dusting pink slightly,
"Yeah, i like him too" she said picking up the dog and nuzzling his nose with her own. Akamaru's tail wagged faster.

Hinata then called them over.
"Should we wake shika?" Shiro asked, kiba shrugged and dug into the food hinata jad handed him, shiro sighed and got up and walked over to the boy's tent.
"Nara-san" she called. Nothing. "Shikamaru-kun" she called again, this time getting an annoyed groan

"Whaaat" she giggled at this.
"Your on a mission nara-san. Its already 9"
"What?!" Shiro moved away from the tent once she heard shuffling and things being knocked over. Shikamaru jumped out of the tent, hair still down. The other two began to paugh at him, shiro holding in her giggles.
"Ohayo" she waves to him, the boy quickly went red and looked away for a moment, thing up his hair in its normal style.
"Its not 9 is it.." Shiro shook her head with an innocent smile.
"No its 7. But we have to keep. And you would of missed breakfast!" She pouts at him arms crossed. Shikamaru almost laughed at her cute expression and sat down across from hinata. Who handed him a plate with his food. He gave her a smile and began to eat silently, kiba asking for thirds. Hinata refused, as she hadnt had any yet. Shiro smiled and offered hers to the girl and let kiba had the rest.

"You didnt have to shiro! Really! Its just as important you to keep your strength up--"
"Ill be alright hinata" shiro ensured the panicking girl. Hinata eyed shiro to make sure. Once seeing that the fox eared girl was dead serious hinata began to eat.

Shiro smiled triuphantand looked over to shikamaru, who was laid down a little ways away from them.
"Shikamaru-san. You should eat" the male didnt respong making her smile, crawling over the grass she giggled when she saw his eyes closed and his breathing slow and even. He was asleep.

"Shikamaru-san?" Hinata asked. Shiro raised a finger to her lips and smiled,
"Shhh hes sleeping" shiro whispered, hinata giggled and nodded.

Shiro smiled and laid down beside the sleeping nara and looked up at the sky. Watching the clouds roll by slowly. Kiba and akamaru still running around off the side of the group.
"Guys!" Kiba shouted. Shiro sat up and went wide eyed. A group of what seemed to be ninja was following him and akamaru, hinata and shiro quickly jumped up and got out their kunai. Ready to defend themselves if need be.

Kiba spun around on his heel, smirking widely at the nin, akamaru growling.

One of the nin, a man threw a flurry of kunai at the teens, shiro; quickly going into defensive mode, stood in front of a waking up shikamaru and delfected the kunai she could, some though just grazed her.

"What?!" Shikamaru shouted, scrambling up and casting a shadow jutsu on the man, the two other smaller shinobi moved to hand to hand combat, hinata and kiba keeping them at bay as shiro finally noticed the headbands around the leader's head.
" your from Suna?" Shiro asked, the man looked at her. His eyes cold.
"No duh your brat" the man spat. Shiro frowned at his rudeness but nonthless contiued speaking, the others beyong confused.
"Shiro!" Kiba exclaimed, blocking a punch "stop talking and punch the guy!"
"Hes from Suna" shiro went to explain.
"Theyre attacking us!" Kiba retorted, shiro frowned at him deeply.

"Fine then" she said, her chakra levels suddenly rising. Shiro raised a hand aimed directly between the four fighting shinobi, her eyes suddenly going a light purple colour and a blast of an invisible power forced the two fighting groups apart.

The girl's hands then moved infront of her, the force pushing the suna nin back. Shiro frowned as her eyes returned to normal and she crossed her arms.
"Now can talk" she said in a more authoritative tone, the group were all quiet as she stood there, her hands still in the same unique handsign.

"Why did you attack us" Shikamaru demanded.
"We saw nin, your getting to close to the border!"
"We're from the leaf, cant you see our headbands?!" Kiba shouted, shiro raised a hand. Shunning everyone,
"We're here to intersect a team from the sand. Its got something to do with a rouge group terrorising remote villages" the team leader crossed their arms
"We were deployed to hunt them down" shiro smiled and looked to shikamaru, who handed her the scroll.
"The team was captured late yesterday night" shikamaru explained, "the hokage confirms"
The team leader looks over the scroll and nods.
"Thank you, we'll send word to the kazekage"
"Theres a new kazekage already?" Shikamaru asked, kiba frowned, hinata tilted her head "hell be happy to hear that the nin have been captured"
"Is it kankuro?" Hinata asked. Shiro nodded. The man looked up at the two girls and shook his head
"Unfortunately .. No." Shiro went wide eyed.
"Gaara-kun?" She asks quietly, the sand team nods. Their faces showing the uneasiness they felt.

"Yeah.."

The team of leaf shinobi were shocked to say the least, shiro smiled slightly, he was the kazekage! Thats was quite the title to jump to. But she was sure he would handle it well. She had faith in him.
"Well i guess we better get going" shikamaru said, the team leader nodded
"Thank you for the information. I apologise for being so hostile"
"Likewise" shikamaru stated, shaking hands with the other team leader before the teams parted ways. Shiro couldnt help but smile as she thought about gaara being a kazekage. How cool would that be..
