She could still hear them trying to get her freed as she drifted in and out  from consciousness.  Her mind trying to make sense of what was going on. She couldn't hear them speak, her eyes and ears now drowned out unless it was a loud noise. Her body hurt as it was slowly crushed. Her fists stinging, her body broken from the constant punches. Her broken arm throbbing in pain, her chakra depleted. The small amount oxygen just enough to keep her alive. Shiro tried to stay awake, trying to hear them fights to know that they were still trying to free her.

Hearing a sudden crash jolted her awake, yet her body went limp. She could hear the sudden gasp of her friends.
"SASUKE!" She heard Naruto shout loudly in anger. Sasuke? Had he been hit? What's that what the big crash was? Gaara had hurt her teammate.. No.. "YOU BASTARD!" She heard Naruto scream, she could hear Kunai being thrown, hitting something then being throw to the side, the thuds of the metal hitting the ground. She suddenly heard a louder thud, someone had collapsed. Naruto?
"Damn you" she heard Naruto speak again, no. It want Naruto. Hinata? She couldn't hear the quiet girls chakra. What had happened?!

Shiro tried to free herself from the restraints, her friends were fighting! She had to help them now!! He was hurting them! Gathering up her strength Shiro began to bang her fist against the wall, she tried so hard to give some sort of signal that she was fine. She couldn't speak, her breathing was getting ragged, trying to not use the remaining oxygen.
"LET. HER. GO."  Shiro heard her father threaten,..
"Kura, you can't, you'll destoryed the whole village--"
"That bastard is hurting my daughter!" Kurama protested.
"Please! You must transform here. Calm down" she could hear her mother crying, her father growling, he was unstable. Gaara and Naruto were unstable..

Hearing a small bark Shiro flinched at the loud whine that came from the right.
"AKAMARU!" She heard Kiba scream in fear. Were Gai-Sensei and Kakashi helping Naruto and Sasuke? Hinata? Akamaru? What were they doing!

she couldn't breathe.

Shiro growled at the thought of suffocating... She couldn't leave this quickly!

Her eyes felt heavy., her body limp and motionless. She couldn't breathe, she couldn't hear anymore, she couldn't see what was happening, she could help protect her friends... She couldn't protect her family from the one she called her friend.

Shiro stared into the darkness of the ball, unable to speak.. She was dying. Right there right now. She couldn't do anything.

With that.. She let out her last breath..

She could hear faint beeping. Crying. Steady Breathing. Voices.. Muffled voices.

Where was she?

She could breathe. Good. She couldn't move though.

Was she dead?

Had Gaara killed her?

Shiro mentally clenched her fists and tried to open her eyes. They felt heavy, like they couldn't open.  Where the heck was she?

She could feel chakra. She could feel naruto, Sasuke, hinata and Kiba's chakra somewhere. They weren't close. No it felt like they were in another room?was she in a room? As she breathed in she could smell the sterilised scent of a hospital.. They had freed her.. She cou do sense kurama and Yuki's chakra beside her. Kakashi's off to the side. And Shikamaru's too. Temari and kankuro were also in the area. Just further away from everyone. She could sense Gaara's chakra too... Was he alright? Was he okay? Did he regret almost killing her twice? Was he back to his normal self? Would he be allowed near her after this? Many questions filled her mind as she tried to wake herself up.

"Doctor..." She heard Shikamaru speak up "is she gonna wake up anytime soon?" Worry laced his voice. Shiro almost cried when she heard how worried he was about her.

Shikamaru... Your just like a big brother..
"Doc?" She heard kankuro's voice too... "Don't tell me she's dying still"
He actually cared? Shiro mentally smiled at the thought of having two brother like figures. Though she barley knew kankuro.
"How are the others?" Temari.. "I'm still so sorry.. We should of warned your village about Gaara.. He never meant to hurt her.."

"I know" a new voice. It was hiruzen.  "We should of sensed he was a jinchuriki.. But that doesn't justify the way he has acted towards our ninja"
"Hokage-Sama.. Please.. Gaara never mean to hurt her.. He's never had a friend.. He didn't know how to react.."
"He's not coming anywhere near my daughter. If he does he'll be killed on sight"
"Kurama! Stop this.. Please.." She heard Yuki beg, she was crying still,
"I agree with kurama. That kid shouldn't be allowed near Shiro until she has full recovered. He should go back to his village and stay there" kakashi stated.
"But she likes the kid, Kakashi-Sensei, Kurama, I don't mean to pry. But Shiro really likes Gaara. Last night she wouldn't stop talking about how he was a great friend, though he was a little.. You know.." Shikamaru defended. "Shiro should choose this, she's a Shinobi if this village"

"And if he hurts her again?" Hiruzen asks. Shikamaru sighs
"Then he's out of this village for good" Shikamaru stated.

They can't decide for me..

Shiro opened her eyes and sat up. Though her body was weak and her arm stung.
"Gaara-San Stays" she stated. The group all staring at her worriedly. "I spooked him, it was my fault" she added. They all stared at her as she felt her body go limp. Kakashi quickly caught her.
"Sweetie, we can't have him hurting you again, or anyone else--"
"I DONT CARE!" She shouted loudly. Swatting Kakashi away from her, "it was my fault that he reacted, I should of known he would react like that. Don't blame him for my mistakes!" Temari then came forward and crouched down beside Shiro's bed,
"Calm down kid" kankuro commented from the door way. Temari then sighed
"It's for the best that we take him back t the village for a little bit. I know it's the exams but., he's not safe to be around when he's angry. When he wakes up he'll more then likely try to kill whoever is near him. We need to get him out of the village--"
"No!" Shiro exclaimed.
"Shiro..."
"NO! Don't take my friend away from me!" She shouted, forcing herself up to a standing position. "None of you can stop him from competing in the exam! He stays here until it's over! I don't care if he hurt me! He's my friend! And I'm not gonna give up on him!"
