Shane and Abeke (Conor) - I'm Here (Part Two)
Abeke rushes off to visit Shane in Stetriol just as he has woken up from a coma. Little did she know, she had left someone else.
I'm getting another book idea of writing another Spirit Animal fan fiction about this love triangle.

Abeke was sitting at their usual spots in the Greenhaven cafeteria with Rollan and Meilin. For some odd reason, Conor hasn't arrived yet.
"Where is he?" Abeke asked, looking around for the blonde Euran.
"No idea," Rollan shrugged in return.
Just then, she finally spotted Conor walking towards him. She saw a bit of sadness in his eyes but when he saw her, that quickly fade into a smile.
"Glad you decided to join the party," Rollan said as he approached.
"I just have some news from Olvan or should I say, from the kingdom of Stetriol," Conor glanced at Abeke who looked surprise, "The king of Stetriol, Shane, has finally woken up from his coma and is inviting the Four Fallen for a very private meeting."
Shane? Awake? Alive?
Abeke's mind whirled. Shane is alive. Shane is alive!
"He wants us to be there as soon as possible," Conor went on but Abeke wasn't listening anymore.
All she could think about was Shane being alive.
Little did she know that deep down inside, a boy's heart is slowly falling apart.

Abeke was getting restless. She was getting impatient. As soon as she heard that they were here, she had bolted up the decks as fast as Uraza. She was leaning on the railings, waiting to get out and get back on the land. Partly because she was never a fan of ships, but mostly because she couldn't wait to see him. Shane.
As soon as the ship came to a full stop, Abeke had walked out the ship and onto the deck. She saw that there were people still rebuilding the buildings but a crowd had gathered to wait for them. Rollan followed after her while the other two walked out more cautiously. Abeke and Rollan had already been here but Conor and Meilin hadn't and were probably still suspicious of Stetriol, the place where the war happened.
"Looks like someone's excited to see someone," Rollan teased.
"Why don't you stick with your girlfriend?" Abeke told him which made his eyes go wide.
"G-Girlfriend?" He squeaked, getting all nervous and defensive, "W-What girlfriend?"
"You may be good at detecting lies but you're terrible at lying itself," Abeke mumbled.
One of the Stetriolians wearing robes, indicating he was one of the nobles, greeted them politely and led them towards the palace. As they walked through the city, Abeke looked around and noticed how much had changed ever since they last went here. Some of the buildings were ruined while others are being rebuilt but the atmosphere was still clear and happy.
At the entrance of the palace, there stood a boy their age, waiting for them to come. A Redcloak flowing down his back, a small smile on his face.
"Heroes of Erdas," Shane greeted them, "I'm glad you accpeted."
"So, should we call you King or Shane?" Rollan asked, not too polite, "Since your Redcloak name is King yet your real name is Shane. Or should it be King Shane now, not that there's much difference."
Meilin would've scolded Rollan but she didn't speak, probably because she still hasn't forgiven Shane and is still suspicious. So Abeke was a bit surprise when Conor spoke.
"Rollan," Conor warned, "You're talking to the king of Stetriol which we are currently in right now. Show some respect."
"That won't be necessary," Shane said, "I understand that I've not been entirely forgiven for my past crimes but I assure you that I mean no harm."
"Well then, what do you want?" Meilin asked with an edge to her voice.
"I've invited you here for me to...apologize for my past crimes," Shane told them, "I know it's hard to forgive me but I don't want to have any more trouble with the Greencloaks. I want to end this on a happy note."
"If you're asking for forgiveness, you'll have to wait a long time," Meilin muttered, "It's not easy to forgive someone who's responsible for my father's death. But I suppose you won't have any more trouble unless you cause one."
Shane's gaze seemed to fill with relief.
"Yeah, i'm with Meilin here," Rollan said, giving him a skeptical look, "Though I have to thank you for saving us and helping us."
"I'd like to thank you personally for saving Abeke," Conor added silently and Shane looked at him, a bit surprise. He was certain that Conor didn't like him very much but when he looked at him closely, there was only sincerity.
"If it weren't for you...who knows," Conor nodded to him, any trace of resentment towards him in the past was gone, replaced with some sort of respect.
Shane hesitated before speaking, "I would do anything just to prove I've changed, to gain forgiveness. Even if it meant risking my life."
A sad look entered Conor's gaze but it quickly disappeared. Conor glanced at Abeke who was watching everything in silence.
"We'll...we'll leave you two to talk," Conor nodded to him once more before leading Rollan and Meilin away.
Abeke and Shane stood there alone, both not knowing what to do.
Then Shane broke the silence, looking down, "I'm sorry."
"You don't need to be sorry," this made Shane look up to meet her eyes, "because you've already been forgiven."
Shane could only look at her, a bit surprised that Abeke has forgiven him.
"Though maybe not fully," she went on, "but just enough to give you another chance."
"I...I don't want another chance," Shane hesitated then went on, "I want to start over. Start over from the very beginning...as friends?"
Silence filled the air between them and Shane cast his eyes down the ground again. Just then, footsteps approached and he looked up just when Abeke hugged him. This took him by surprise but he reacted quickly, hugging her back.
"Friends?" Abeke asked softly.
Shane smiled, "Friends and this time, i'll be here. I'm always going to be here."

Conor had been watching everything happen, hiding around the corner of a nearby building. Pain filled his heart and he closed his eyes and let out a breath. He could see the truth in Shane's eyes to know that he could trust him.
As long as Abeke is happy, Conor would be happy too and if that meant letting her go, then he would.
Though a part of him was happy for Abeke, he knew that his heart will never be fully mended. If you love someone, perhaps you just have to let them go...

Aw, I feel bad for Conor. I'm sorry Conor! Don't worry, you'll find someone soon. I have an idea of writing a book about this love triangle thing with Abeke, Shane, and Conor. What do you guys think?
Please vote and leave a comment on what you guys think. Please feel free to request the next ship!
