Rollan and Meilin - The Chase (Tour Amaya)

The Four Fallen decided to show their homeland to their friends and started touring around Erdas to their homes.

Their first stop was Amaya. The place where Rollan was raised as a street orphan. But what happens when a little visit becomes an all-out chase when a couple of fan-girls start going crazy for two certain heroes.

And let's say the other two weren't happy.

Guys, I would like you to use your imagination and pretend that someone came from a whole different world and brought this thing called a camera. Of course this is only going to be in this four-part story and won't affect future stories.

"Um, this is weird," Rollan mumbled to his other four friends as someone held this strange looking...device right in front of him.

"What's weird?" The person, well Rollan thought he was a person, asked.

"This, uh, thing you're carrying," Conor pointed to the black object and he jumped back as the circular part of it moved closer.

"Oh, sorry," he smiled apologetically, "I haven't really properly introduced myself. I'm...well, you can call me Griffin."

"Where are you from, Griffin?" Abeke asked out of curiosity.

"A traveler like me comes from many different places," Griffin replied and started doing things with the device, "Oh, and to make things less confusing. This is a camera which is able to capture anything you shoot at."

"That seems...a little dangerous," Conor said nervously. He did not like the camera.

"How does it work?" Meilin asked, who seemed to be fascinated about the strange device.

"Let me show you," Griffin grinned, and walked towards them, "Just gather around me and get really close."

"Uh, why?" Conor asked uneasily.

"Don't worry, it won't hurt," Griffin reassured him.

Everyone did as he had said except for Conor who was about to back away. That was until Rollan pulled him back in and placed an arm around him playfully.

"Ah!" Conor exclaimed.

"Say cheese," Griffin said and grinned.

"Cheese?" Rollan asked, "Why not stew?"

The camera then made a snapping sound and Conor fell back in surprise.

"Okay, here," Griffin showed everyone and they saw them...only they weren't moving.

"That is so cool," Rollan exclaimed.

"Not for me," Conor muttered.

"Look, the ship is about to leave so why don't we get on board," Griffin suggested, "All you have to do is pretend i'm not here as I take more pictures and videos to save these memories."

They all glanced at each other in confusion at the words, 'picture' and 'videos' but shrugged anyways.

They were off to Amaya.

"Welcome to Amaya," Rollan introduced as if he was the tour guide, "To be more specific, welcome to Concorba, the place where the Falconmaster was born."

"Sure," Meilin muttered sarcastically.

The four of them were still wearing their usual clothes, their Greencloaks flowing behind them. They could only hope that no one would recognize them as long as they covered their tattoos and not summon their Spirit Animals unless it's an emergency. All of their Spirit Animals were in passive state except for Essix who was aloft somewhere in the sky as usual.

Rollan started leading them through the busy streets as Griffin silently filmed the whole thing.

"Here is the entrance to the place where the Falconmaster had his amazing Nectar Ceremony and have summoned Essix the Falcon," Rollan said, pointing to the building of a prison.

"And where the slow orphan ended up in jail and where Essix was your ticket out," Meilin added, earning a glare from Rollan.

"Need I remind you that I am your tour guide," Rollan told her, "I know that you must be dying to go to Zhong but you gotta wait for two more stops."

Meilin was about to say something but Rollan beat her to it, "Next stop, a couple of amazing shops."

After a couple more shops, they entered some sort of medicine shop and saw a man behind a counter, writing something busily on his paper. He glanced up as they saw him but his eyes widened.

"Hey Mr. Valdez," Rollan greeted, "How's your shop going?"

"R-Rollan?" Mr. Valdez stammered in disbelief, "H-How...w-why...?"

"Oh you know, just paying a visit," Rollan said, "Anyways, nice meeting you. Have a good day."

Then left the shop, leaving a shocked Mr. Valdez.

"The next stop should be to visit my mo-"

Suddenly, there was a scream and they turned to find a girl pointing right at them. She didn't seem to be in trouble but more like...squealing from joy. There was a flutter of wings and Rollan glanced up with a groan, just in time to see the gyrfalcon fly up from the ledge she was perched on. Looks like they've been spotted.

"Everyone, it's Rollan," the girl squealed as she rushed over to him with a couple more girls.

A crowd started to form, some kept a respective distance, others glanced at them in awe before returning to their duties but it was mostly the young girls who came up to their faces.

"Wow, he's so much more cute in person."

"Can I touch your hair?"

"Want to come with me to this restaurant? They sell the best stew!"

"Rollan, I love you!"

"Looks like you've got some fans," Conor commented while Abeke was trying hard to cover her laugh.

Rollan was looking very uneasy as he tried to back away as politely as he could. Only Meilin was not enjoying it, she was not liking how they were really, really, close to him.

Abeke nudged her teasingly, "Is someone jealous?"

Just then, another girl screamed, "Guys, it's Conor!"

This time, more girls came and crowded around Rollan and Conor who disliked this more than the camera. Abeke watched with her mouth agape as Meilin glanced at her.

"So, what were you saying?" Meilin asked as Abeke tightened her mouth in a thin line.

"I think they need some help," Abeke muttered and Meilin nodded in agreement.

Using Meilin's acting skills, she cried out in fear, "He's infected! The Wyrm is back!"

The girls looked to where Meilin was pointing and were glancing around in fear. The boys took that moment to run as Rollan led the way.

"They're running away!"

"Quick, follow them!"

"This way," Rollan yelled to his friends as they turned sharply into an alley. Griffin quickly followed them with the camera as the girls chased after them like a stampede.

Rollan made a left, then a right, then another right, and then a left until they don't know how many turns they have made. The girls then ran into a busy street, running around as they tried to spot the heroes.

"I think they went this way!" One girl said and they followed her till they were gone.

The four had been turned around, their green cloaks showing as they blended in with a couple of clothes. They both grinned at each other in triumph.

Griffin walked up to them with a couple of hats, "You might want to wear these."

"Thank you so much for dinner, Aidana," Meilin thanked Rollan's mom politely. The others quickly chimed in as they finished their food.

"Oh your welcome," Aidana laughed softly, "I enjoy having you all here. It's nice to see you kids after such a long time."

They were currently at Aidana's house, Rollan's mom, as they ate dinner and planned to stay the night over.

As conversations broke out, Aidana, who had been sitting beside Rollan, then told him quietly, "The Zhongese girl, Meilin. She seems like a polite one."

Rollan glanced at her who was currently in a conversation with Griffin about the interesting 'camera' and smiled softly, "Yeah, she is."

"Seems curious and smart about that...thing," Aidana added, referring to the 'camera.'

"Yeah, she is," Rollan nodded, not realizing that he just said the same thing. He was too preoccupied in watching her...not that it looked creepy.

"She's quite a stunning lady, isn't she?" Aidana added, smiling mischievously.

"Yeah...stunning," Rollan sighed before his eyes widened at what he had just said, "Wait, what?!"

Everyone glanced at him in surprise at his sudden outburst. Rollan only chuckled nervously, his cheeks turning slightly red as he prayed that he hadn't heard of what he had just said.

Then he cleared his throat and took on an accusing look, "What are you all staring about? Can't a son catch up with his mother? Go back to eating your food."

"Yes dad," Meilin replied sarcastically while giving him a questioning look.

As soon as the conversations came back up again, Rollan sighed in relief, "That was close."

"Rollan, just try not to wait too long," Aidana replied.

Rollan gave her a confused look, "Wait for what?"

She only smiled before getting up to prepare and do the dishes.

Early the next morning, the friends were getting ready to leave early back to the ship so they could travel to Eura.

As that happened, Aidana walked up to Meilin who had been calmly waiting for the others to finish up, "Hello there dear."

Meilin smiled politely, "Good morning Aidana. Thank you again for lending us your house for us to stay for the night. Sorry if we were being a bother-"

"No worries, dear," Aidana laughed softly, "I enjoy your company and besides, there's no need to be formal."

Before Meilin could reply, there was a familiar voice who exclaimed, "Come on, Essix. I don't want to be chased by a bunch of girls again!"

Aidana then told her quietly, giving her a wink, "Take care of my little boy for me, will you?"

Meilin started blushing as she stumbled over her words to find a reply. She ended up not having any and soon enough, it was time for them to go.
