Rollan and Meilin - Jealous (Tour Zhong)

The Four Fallen decided to show their homeland to their friends and start touring around Erdas to their homes.

Their last stop was Zhong where Meilin returns, proud of where she was from. But of course, she had been an admired girl before she became a hero and was admired even more when she did.

Let's just say that a certain someone needed to do a bit of scaring away.

Last part to this four-part story! (I have these super annoying crazy lunatics in my bus right now and I want to strangle them to death!!! It's making me hard to write and they show no respect to the bus lady!!! 😠😠😠😠)

The friends were once again on the Tellun's Pride II, on their way to Zhong, Meilin's home.

Of course Meilin was eager to go back to her home though Rollan didn't seem to share that same feeling. Zhong was where he had almost died from the Sunset Death. Then again, this time there weren't any Conquerors to hide from.

As soon as the ship had docked, Meilin was the first to walk down the ramp and into the dock, the others following after her. As soon as they entered deeper into the city and towards Meilin's home, people started to notice them. Some bowed down, some changed course, some smiled with joy while others just gawked at them as if the Wyrm had just awoken once more.

Conor gave a shy smile and waved along with Abeke. Rollan grinned while Meilin only gave a smile and a nod.

Of course everyone knew who the Four Heroes of Erdas were but since it's Zhong, Meilin was the pride of the continent. She had already been well known before for she was the daughter of a high-ranking general. Not only that, she was quite a beautiful girl and had gained admirers.

"Hey Meilin," one of the boys that she recognized as one of her old classmates called out.

"Welcome back," another one of the boys called out.

"We missed you."

"Are you coming back to school?"

As they neared Meilin's home, one of the boys stepped in front, "Hey Meilin, remember me?"

She looked closely at him and realized that he was Yenni, her former classmate, "Yenni?"

Yenni grinned as if he had just won a huge prize, "You remember. Anyways, those bags look heavy for you. I can help you if you want."

Meilin was about to politely refuse, even though her hands were aching, but someone had beaten her to it, "I'm pretty sure she's able to do it alone."

Meilin glared at Rollan and was about to say that she could speak for herself when Yenni spoke, "Oh, um, well, would you like an escort?"

Rollan's gaze hardened at Yenni as he muttered, "We can find our own way around without any help."

Yenni's eyes flashed and he looked like he was about to protest but he only said, "Okay then. See you later, Meilin."

As soon as he was gone, Conor smirked at Rollan, "Someone's jealous."

"Shut up," Rollan snapped but he didn't meet Meilin's gaze as he muttered, "Can we just keep moving?"

Meilin raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything as they kept on walking. It's no surprise, Rollan wasn't usually known for his politeness when it comes to new people but he seemed as if he already resented Yenni.

They then started walking once more, only in silence.

"Meilin, where are you going?" Abeke asked in curiosity as she saw Meilin heading out the door.

"Oh you know, just want to go alone for now," Meilin replied casually before slipping out the door.

Conor and Abeke resumed to whatever they've been talking about as Rollan's curiosity grew. Since I was getting bored from listening into his friends' conversation, he decided to get up and follow Meilin. He saw her turn the corner of a building just in time and he rushed to catch up to her.

He stopped just in time as he, once again, felt anger.

"Meilin," Yenni grinned walking back to her as Meilin tried not to grown in annoyance, "Do you have any plans this afternoon?"

"Yeah, with us," Rollan muttered but kept hidden as he listened to their conversation.

"Sorry but i'm busy," Meilin said with an edge to her voice but he didn't seem to notice.

"Oh," Yenni said but with Rollan's strong intuition, he knew he wasn't going to back down, "It's just...there's this place I really want to show you."

Rollan was getting really annoyed and he knew he wasn't the only one as Meilin started, "Yenni-"

"Please," he begged, his voice pleading, "I promise you won't regret this. Just this one time and I can leave you alone for the rest of your life."

Meilin seemed to reconsider before sighing, "Fine but make it quick."

Yenni grinned, "Thanks Meilin. You won't regret this."

"Oh I sure won't regret this," Rollan muttered as they started walking away, "because i'll make sure that he would regret this."

Given Rollan's Spirit Animal, some assume that he wouldn't be the most stealthiest person out of the four. Well, from years of experience in the streets, he'll have to learn to be quiet when escaping the militia.

Rollan followed the two until they had left the city and were entering the woods. He quickly followed them, making sure he wasn't spotted yet being able to see them. The two broke into the woods and right in front of them was a small pond with a blanket nearby. Rollan had to admit, the view was a really great spot but what irritated him the most was how he knew what Yenni was planning.

"So?" Yenni grinned, looking at Meilin for some confirmation.

"It's...beautiful," Meilin admitted yet she looked uncomfortable, "So...why exactly did you bring me here?"

"You know. You and me. Catch up," Yenni replied casually, gesturing at him and her, then at the blanket, "Here. Come sit."

It took all of Rollan's self-control not to jump out his hiding spot and punch the stupid grin of off Yenni's face as Meilin reluctantly sat down. He noticed that she had put some space between her and Yenni.

The anger grew when he noticed Yenni inch closer to her as he started leaning in and saying something. Meilin looked uncomfortable which had drowned out when she noticed what he was about to do. Knowing Rollan couldn't stay in his hiding spot much longer, he jumped out and tackled Yenni away from Meilin.

"What in Erdas-" Yenni exclaimed and his eyes widened when he saw Rollan. He then sneered, "Look who we have here. What do you want, street boy?"

Rollan stiffened, "What did you just call me?"

Satisfaction filled Yenni's eyes, knowing he had hit a spot, "Well, it's true. To be honest, the only decent person on your team is Meilin. You got the shepherd, the traitor, then the street-"

He wasn't able to finish his sentence because Rollan had finally punched him square on the face. Yenni fell back, his face filled with shock which then turned to anger as he stood up then ran at Rollan.

Clearly, Yenni didn't have as much experience as Rollan had for he easily caught Yenni's fist mid-swing and gave him a punch of his own. Thing is, Yenni wouldn't just gave up as he started getting up again. He started running at Rollan once more but before he could do anything, someone had whacked him on the head, sending him crumpling to the ground, unconscious.

"I can fight my own battles," he had almost forgotten that Meilin was still there.

Rollan was still angry that he unintentionally snapped at Meilin, "Your welcome. And by the way, it wasn't just your battle."

Meilin gave him a long look before looking away and saying, "Thanks...I guess."

Wait, did Meilin just say thank you?!

"Wait, did you just-"

"You're not getting me to say that again," Meilin cut him off with a glare.

"It's just...you don't hear that everyday," Rollan mumbled, mostly to himself.

"Well then, you're lucky I suppose," Meilin shrugged, "Come on. The others are probably waiting for us."

Rollan glanced at the unconscious body of Yenni, "What about him?"

"Do you really want to drag him back?" Meilin glanced at him.

"Oh, he can stay here and date himself."

"Glad someone agrees with me."

As they began walking through the streets of Zhong once more, Meilin broke the silence, "And just so you know, i'd only go on a date with only one person."

The familiar feeling of what I finally figured as jealousy, began to swirl inside of me once more, "And who is that?"

Meilin gave me a glance before averting her gaze elsewhere, "The first person I kissed."

"And who is the first person you kissed?"

She rolled her eyes, "Figure it out yourself."

Rollan started thinking, pushing his jealousy back. That's when it started fading all together. The only person she'd kiss was...Rollan. If there was any other person, she didn't tell him.

Just to confirm his answer, he took a deep breath before he could chicken out, "Well then...would you go on a date with me?"

Before he could even think about what he had just said, Meilin gave him a small smile, rolled her eyes then did the most unexpected thing that it almost shut down Rollan's brain.

She leaned in and gave him a peck on the cheek before leaning back just as quickly. She then smirked at him as if nothing had ever happened and said, "Took you long enough."

Rollan just stood there, looking at her with his mouth agape as she started jogging ahead. After a couple of moments, a grin made its way to his lips as he started following after him, still thinking of what had happened.
