Rollan and Meilin gets into a fight, leaving Meilin hurt and Rollan regretful. So he makes it up to her by planning a special surprise, with the help of his friends of course.

It doesn't really matter when this happened. I just love Reilin!

Rollan's POV

"I can't believe you forgot that it was Conor's birthday today!" Meilin exclaimed.

"Yeah," Abeke nodded while Conor just glared at him, angry and hurt.

"I said I was sorry," I argued back.

"Sorry isn't enough," Meilin snapped.

"Well, at least I say sorry," I fired back and before I could think, the words poured out of my mouth, "I say sorry unlike you who can't even say the whole word when you know you did something wrong. You never say sorry and you don't even forgive!"

As soon as the words were out, everyone looked at me in shock. I was shocked myself. I looked at Meilin and her eyes were filled with hurt which quickly turned into anger. I immediately wished that I could take back what I just said.

"Fine then," Meilin muttered and she stormed out the room.

Abeke and Conor stared at me in shock and disbelief. Conor seemed to have forgotten that he was angry at me for forgetting his birthday. Abeke glared at me and ran after Meilin while Conor just shook his head. I quickly went out and went straight to bed, skipping dinner.

There was a screech and I saw Essix right outside the window. I sighed and let her in. She screeched again, sounding angry.

"I guess you heard about the fight," I sigh.

Essix screeched louder making me cover my ears then she pulled a bit of my hair.

"Ow," I said, "I guess I deserved that."

She screeched again as if to say, You deserve more!

"What was I thinking?" I exclaimed, pacing around my room, "Why did I just say that? I can't believe I just said that? I am so stupid."

Essix looked at him, Ya think?

"What am I going to do?" I said, flopping down my bed, "I'm pretty sure she hates me right now."

Just then, Essix flew out the window and I sigh, "She probably hates me too. And Conor and Abeke. I'm the worst friend ever."

Then Essix comes back carrying a rose on her beak. She lands beside me and drops the rose on my hand. I pick up the rose and looked at her confused. Essix seemed to have rolled her eyes and then pecked my head.

Think, she says.

I look at the rose and an idea started forming on my mind.

"Essix you're a genious!" I say, wrapping my arms around the bird and she gives out a little squeak.

I waited until it was night and that I was sure everyone was asleep as I make my move. I quietly walked out my room and walked to Conor's room, silently begging that he won't kill me. I opened the door and to my relief, he left it lock. I heard a growl as I entered and saw Briggan. He stopped when he realized it was just me but his eyes showed disapproval.

"Conor," I whisper, "Conor wake up."

Conor sat up abruptly and looked around, "What is it? What happened?"

When he saw me he glared, "What do you want now?"

I sigh, "Look Conor, i'm really, really sorry for forgetting about your birthday."

Conor hesitated, whether or not to forgive him.

"Look, i'll make it up for you," I quickly added, "I'll do anything you want me to do."

Conor thought for a moment then nodded, "Fine I forgive you but since i'm such a kind friend, I won't ask anything from you."

I let out a sigh of relief, "Thanks Conor. You're a great friend. Better than me... But I need your help."

Conor listened carefully as I told him the plan and he nodded.

Meilin's POV

I wake up as soon as I hear a knock on my door. I groaned and memories of last night came back into my mind.

"Meilin, can you open the door?" I hear Abeke's voice, "I really need to talk to you about something very important."

I sigh and got up to open the door. Abeke was outside with her Spirit Animal, Uraza.

"What do you want?" I snapped.

"I need to show you something very important," Abeke told her.

"What is it?" I asked, getting curious.

"I can't tell you," Abeke replied, "I was given orders to only show you."

I sigh, "Fine then, lead the way."

I follow Abeke as we walked through the halls of Greenhaven. I didn't know where she was leading me and I started to get more curious and impatient. Just then, Abeke stopped in front of a small door.

"Just go right in there," Abeke told me.

"Are you sure this isn't a prank?" I asked, looking at her suspicously.

"It's no prank," she insisted, "Just go inside."

I look at her one last time before going through the doors and saw stairs leading up. I look back at Abeke but she wasn't there anymore. I hesitated before climbing up the steps to who knows where. I'm so glad I brought my staff with me, taking it out as I went higher, preparing to hit anyone if it's a prank. I stopped in front of another small door. I took a deep breath, preparing to hit anyone and slowly opened the door.

I gasped as I saw what was on the other side of the door. I saw colorful flowers everywhere. I never even knew that Greenhaven had a rooftop garden!

(They probably don't but meh)

I slowly walked further, looking around and admiring the beautiful, colorful, flowers. Stopping to smell a few of the flowers.

"Liking the place?" I whirled around, about to hit the person with my staff but stopped just in time to see Conor.

"Oh, hey Conor," Meilin said, "You knew about this?"

"Well, kinda," Conor said, "There was this guy who decided to make this garden just for you. He spent the whole entire night just filling the place with flowers."

"Really?" I asked, very curious, "Who?"

"Just go through there and you'll see him," Conor instructed, pointing to a path with flowers on both sides.

I was about to ask him another question when he disappeared, just like Abeke. I walked through the path, looking around cautiously. Waiting for a bucket of water to drop on top of me or someone about to scare me.

Just then, I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I whirled around and hit the person with my staff.

"Ow, hey, it's just me!" I stopped and gasped as I saw Rollan.

"Um, oops," I said then my mood quickly changed, "What are you doing here?"

Rollan started to get nervous, "Um...well...I just wanted to say-"

"No," I interrupted him, knowing what he was about to say, "I'm not hearing any of it."

I turned around and started walking back but Rollan took my arm and pulled it so that I faced him. I seemed to have forgotten to breath as I realized how close our faces were.

"Too bad, you're going to hear it whether you want to or not," Rollan says firmly, "So please just hear me out."

The desperation in his voice made me stop and I looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

Rollan took a deep breath, "About yesterday, i'm really really sorry."

I was about to say that sorry wasn't enough when Rollan stopped me, "Just listen. I really am sorry and you probably won't forgive me but...i'll make it up to you."

I was about to say something again when Rollan stops me, again, "I decided to turn this whole place into a garden of flowers all night just for you but that's probably not enough."

"It was you?" I asked, surprised, "You stayed all night just to make this place into a garden?"

"With the help of Conor and Abeke," Rollan answered, "but that's probably not enough so hopefully I won't regret what I am about to do. Hopefully this will be enough to make it up for you."

"Rollan what are you-"

"Just promise me that you won't hit me or kill me or hate me," Rollan said and I started to get suspicious.

"Rollan-"

"Just close your eyes," he cuts me off.

I hesitated, "What are you-"

"I promise this is no prank," Rollan said, "Just close your eyes."

I look at him doubtfully but reluctantly closed my eyes. I heard him take a deep breath and before I knew it, I felt warm lips crash into mines. My eyes flew open in surprise but I quickly close them, kissing him back. After a few seconds, he pulled away and gave me a nervous smile.

"Er sorry again and I hope you like it and don't hate me," Rollan quickly said before running away, leaving me still shocked on what just happened.

Then I smiled, "No way am I hating you anytime."
