Rollan and Meilin/Conor and Abeke - Camping Trip (Part Four)

Everyone who's reading this is getting restless, the suspense is killing us all (not). Will the ship finally sail or will the anchor pull them down?

Here's is the final part to "Camping Trip!" Enjoy!

- - -

Abeke was moving silently through the forest, not making a single sound thanks to her cat instincts from her Spirit Animal, Uraza. She heard rustling and she caught a glimpse of gray fur. She immediately dashed towards it, running as fast as she could. She kept on running until she burst out the woods, the gray fur out of sight. There was another rustling sound and she turned around to come face-to-face with Conor.

Abeke sighed in relief, "Oh, it's just you."

"Oh, hey Abeke," Conor replied sheepishly, "I thought I saw something."

"I thought I saw something too," Abeke said.

They were silent for a while before Conor broke the silence, "Do you want to look for Briggan together? I could use a bit of help."

"Didn't Rollan say that teams weren't allowed?" Abeke asked.

"Does it really matter?" Conor said, "I could really use your company. I'd be much more comfortable searching for Briggan with you around."

This made Abeke blush a bit but she nodded as they searched to look for Briggan. They both smiled as they walked on, continuing their search.

- - -

"They need to get closer," John decided.

They were both hiding in another bush as they watched the scene.

"How much closer are they going to get?" Eilene asked, sounding bored from the lack of action.

John didn't reply as he went deep in thought on what he was going to do.

- - -

Conor glanced at Abeke when she was too busy looking for clues and memories when he put her arm around her and nearly kissed surfaced into his mind. He was so close to having his first kiss and it had to be ruined by some mysterious sneeze. If only he had another chance...

Pfft, you kissing her? You're too much of a coward to do that.

No i'm not, Conor argued to no-one really but himself.

Then why don't you make the first move then? Unless you're too scared. Even Shane can steal a kiss from her in just 24 hours if he didn't go all friendly on her.

What? I'm so much better than that guy. And what the heck are you even saying, whoever you are... Conor was starting to get weirded out by this conversation with himself.

Then prove it, sheep-boy, prove that you ain't a coward. Prove that you're better than that Reptile King, sheep-boy... Though Reptile King does sound better than sheep-boy.

"Fine, I will," Conor mumbled quietly.

"What did you say?" Abeke asked, interrupting his conversation with...well, himself.

Conor took a deep breath and looked right at her, "I said, fine I will."

Abeke looked back, still confused, "Fine you will, what?"

"Fine, I will do this," Conor replied then started leaning in slowly.

Abeke froze, not being able to process what the heck is happening right now. Was she imagining it all or is Conor actually leaning in?

Before she knew it, she found herself leaning in towards him as well. Conor seemed a bit surprised that Abeke had not pulled away but instead was leaning in as well. Their heads grew closer but none of them stopped. Their eyes slowly closed and then they felt it.

(Sparks were flying everywhere because there were fireworks and Katy Perry was apparently doing the music video for her song "Fireworks" at some random point. Then because there were so many fireworks in the sky, it had caused too much pollution and global warming increased therefore melting the icecaps which they had in Erdas and Eura is not so cold anymore because of the heat of this one simple kiss! No JK I have no idea why I wrote this)

Sparks flew everywhere, their hearts were beating so loudly, their kiss deepened by the second, none making the effort to break apart.

- - -

"Hah, I got them to kiss," John exclaimed quietly.

"Technically, you didn't even do anything," Eilene rolled her eyes, "So it just happened on their own."

"But if I hadn't summoned Rusty and planned this whole trip in the first place, none of this would've happened," John argued, "So I kinda did make them kiss."

"Yeah, sure," she said sarcastically.

"One ship sailing," John said, smirking at Eilene, "One more to set. And soon, i'll win this bet."

"Yeah, whatever," Eilene mumbled.

- - -

After a couple of seconds, the two had finally pulled apart and were blushing like mad.

"S-Sorry about that," Conor scratched the back of his neck, nervously, "I didn't know what I was thinking."

"It's okay," Abeke replied, shyly, "I...enjoyed it anyways."

"R-Really?" Conor managed to squeak out in surprise.

Abeke just smiled at him warmly which he returned.

- - -

Meilin smirked as she spied on Abeke and Conor who were apparently doing "something." Who's doing kissy-face now? Now that they're out the way, she only had one more contender to beat.

She resumed to her hunt on Briggan, and being the show-off out of the four and the more competitive one, she will win.

- - -

Rollan was treating this competition very seriously for he obviously had serious competition. Conor might be able to sense Briggan because of his wolf-senses and that they were bonded as well. Abeke was the best tracker out of all of them, not to mention, she could easily sneak up on Briggan without being heard or seen. Then there's Meilin who's just not a person who gives up easily and is quite smart to track down a wolf.

Oh what am I good for without Essix? Yes, he admitted that he would be useless without Essix.

Just then, he spotted something gray moving through the bushes and he quickly followed after it in pursuit, thinking it was Briggan. He kept on running after the fast-moving gray thing.

He burst through the bushes and had suddenly bumped into something hard, falling back. He groaned, opened his eyes and realized that the something was actually a someone.

- - -

"Do you believe that i'm the Love Doctor now?" John asked with a smirk.

"I'll believe it when it happens," Eilene mumbled but she was getting quite nervous.

Conor and Abeke had already kiss and now here she was, watching Rollan and Meilin who had just bumped into each other. Just one more kiss and she loses this bet. And if she loses this bet...

(A/N: If you skipped part one of "Camping Trip" then you won't know what the bet is)

- - -

Meilin groaned as she opened her eyes to see none other than Rollan, "Ugh, it's you."

"Nice to have bumped into you too," Rollan replied sarcastically, "Thanks for ruining my chase. I had Briggan right in front of me." Then he smirked, "Apparently, I caught you instead."

Meilin rolled her eyes but she hoped that the blush couldn't be seen in her cheeks, "Wow, is that supposed to be a good thing?"

"You're basically lucky if I caught you," then Rollan leaned in and whispered, "because once I catch you, you would never want me to let go."

"Getting flirty, are we?" Meilin told him, getting up and starting to walk away, "I'd like to chat with you more but I can't get myself distracted with you."

Just then, someone had pulled her back around until she was just inches away from Rollan.

He smirked, "So you admit it."

"A-Admit what?" Meilin stammered because of the space between them.

"That I can be quite distracting," Rollan said, huskily as he slowly leaned in.

Meilin almost forgot how to breathe as her eyes drowned in the depths of Rollan's brown eyes.

(A/N: He does have brown eyes, right? I'm too lazy to do research, forgive me)

She was about to lean in as well but then stopped. She couldn't just give up that easily, not without a fight. Using all her effort, she reluctantly pulled away while Rollan just looked at her, dumbfounded.

Meilin let out a laugh, "You're not going to win me that easily."

"Playing hard-to-get now, are we?" Rollan smirked, "I like a good challenge. Don't worry, i'll get you next time."

"If there is going to be a next time," Meilin replied.

"There'll be plenty of next times," Rollan told her, "Once I steal one by the end of the day."

Meilin froze when he said that. She knew that he meant stealing a kiss from her but was he actually being serious? He only smirked at her and she tried not to look affected by rolling her eyes.

- - -

"Should we just go back?" Conor asked Abeke as they walked through the forest, "I don't feel like i'm in the mood for hunting Briggan anymore."

"And let Rollan or Meilin win?" Abeke replied.

"It's your choice," he shrugged, "I'll go and search with you if you want, as long as i'm spending time with you."

This made Abeke blush but replied, "Sweet as always but I don't really want to be making the only decisions."

"Sounds fair enough," Conor said, "but i'll do whatever you want to do."

"And what if I don't want to go back?" Abeke asked, stepping closer to him, "And what if I don't want to continue this little game too?"

Conor looked at her, a bit confused, "Then what do you want to do?"

She then leaned in and whispered, "This."

And of course, they started doing whatever they were doing a minute ago and i'm not elaborating on that.

- - -

Meilin kept on walking, trying not to make too much of a noise as she tries to spot some clues for Briggan, but of course that was all ruined when Rollan came blundering after her. She turned around with an annoyed look.

"First of all, can you stop walking around like a huge animal?" Meilin snapped, "And second, why are you still following me?"

"Because don't you know?" Rollan exclaimed, "I'm chasing after you and we both know you are as well."

"Ugh, can't you just leave me alone?" Meilin groaned, starting to get annoyed.

"You know you can't stand not being with me," Rollan replied, stepping closer to her.

"And why is that?" Meilin asked as she backed away.

Rollan kept on walking towards her while Meilin kept stepping back. Just then, her back touched a tree trunk and before she could move, Rollan had shot out and placed both his hands on the tree, blocking her from any escape. Their faces were only inches apart.

Then Rollan smirked and replied huskily, "Because I can't stand not being with you."

Meilin groaned inwardly, I swear this boy will be the death of me.

Without another second to think, she grabbed a fistful of his shirt, pulled him towards her and crashed her lips into his. Neither of them made any attempt to let go as they deepened it.

- - -

"Hah, I win," John exclaimed, doing a victory whoop.

"Quiet down, will you?" Eilene hissed, "You'll win when we get out of here unseen."

"Come on, they're too busy sucking each others faces," John replied, "They won't even hear a wolf pass by them and howl."

"Still, you haven't won until we get out of here unseen," Eilene mumbled, "because if they see us, we're never getting out of here alive, you know that?"

John was silent, "Right..."

- - -

It was nighttime and the four friends were gathered around the campfire once more. You could say that the couples were cuddling and stuff. Meanwhile, the two Keepers were hidden from view as they watched silently.

"Looks like something happened between you two," Rollan smirked at Abeke who's head was on Conor's shoulder.

She only laughed, "Looks like we're not the only ones."

She gestured to Rollan and Meilin's linked hands.

"This trip has really been memorable," Meilin murmured.

"It's quite weird, don't you think?" Conor said, "In the morning, we heard someone sneeze and we're pretty sure it wasn't coming from your tent. Then later on, I thought I saw a wolf only to find Abeke."

"Same thing happened here," Rollan replied, "We heard a sneeze and I somehow bumped into Meilin when following that wolf."

"Oh you guys," Abeke sighed, "Just enjoy this trip for a moment. Just be glad that it happened or this wouldn't have happened at all."

Meilin sighed as well, "Perfect night as well."

- - -

"Best movie I've watched so far," Eilene said.

"Thanks for my amazing skills of planning this whole trip and getting them together," John grinned, "You know what's the best part about a movie? Especially when you're with someone?"

Eilene knew where this was going and realized that he really hasn't forgotten about the bet. So she quickly changed the subject, "You know the worst part about this movie? Especially when it's live? Facing Meilin's wrath."

John smirked, "Come on, they'll never find out."

Just then, the bushes in front of them moved and standing right in front of them were the four friends who were looking down at them with shock. Luckily, they were wearing thick jackets with hoods on top making it hard for them to recognize.

"You spoke too soon, again," Eilene mumbled.

"On second thought, I think i'd rather skip that part of the movie," John replied, both of them getting up and backing away.

"You know what?" Eilene gave him a 'we're both so dead look', "For once, I agree with you."

Then she plunged into the forest with John following right behind her.

- - -

The four friends only looked after them in confusion.

"Was that, John and Eilene?" Rollan asked, "Cause it sounded a lot like them."

"A memorable night indeed," Conor mumbled.
