Most of this scene is from the book and the words were somewhere along these lines.
Abeke watched with hesitation as she faced her best friend, her partner, her Spirit Animal, Uraza. She desperately tried to look for any trace of Uraza left but all she saw were blank eyes filled with hatred, the black parasite twisting on her forehead.
"Uraza, I know this isn't you," Abeke started, "You need to fight it-"
Instead of fighting it, she snarled and launched herself right at Abeke. Before she could move, something red had rushed through her vision as Uraza was suddenly pushed to the side. Abeke gasped as she realized the red was actually Shane. He was fast enough to save Abeke on time but not enough to save himself from Uraza as she bit him hard on the leg. Shane cried out in pain and this time, Abeke didn't hesitate to shoot the arrow as it zipped through the air and meeting Uraza's leg.
Uraza yowled in pain and had immediately let go of Shane. The Great Leopard growled at her and had immediately vanished in a bright flash of light.
"Shane!" Abeke exclaimed as she ran towards him.
"I saw...Uraza...running after...you," Shane struggled to say as he coughed out more blood.
"Please don't talk," Abeke pleaded, her voice growing into a whisper.
"I'm sorry...Abeke...i'm sorry...for everything..." Shane's voice had started to grow quieter.
"No, no, no," she whispered, "Not you...please not you..."
She started to have flashbacks of the time when she first met him on the ship. When they had their first training together. How Shane taught her to find family anywhere and how he had became her first, true friend.

Abeke woke up, breathing hard. She looked around wildly before realizing that she was in her room, on her bed, it was all just a dream.
Or a memory.
A stab of pain hit Abeke's heart and she closed her eyes feeling that same pain. After they've defeated the Wyrm, miraculously, Shane was still breathing but had went into a deep coma. It's been 6 months, she had just found Uraza yesterday but Shane was still in a coma, alive but not awake. It pained her, a part of her blaming herself.
If she had just shot the arrow sooner, if she had ran instead of facing Uraza and trying to talk some sense into her. She was supposed to be the one in a coma, she was the one Uraza was supposed to attack, not him, not Shane.
She couldn't take it anymore. Thankful that Uraza was in passive state, she quickly went out her room but hesitated. Then she extended her arm and in a flash, Uraza appeared. Abeke quickly closed the door to her room, trapping Uraza inside. She could hear her growling desperately, scratching the door in attempts to get out.
She closed her eyes, trying to prevent the tears from falling, "I'm sorry, Uraza."
She then started to run through the hallways of Greenhaven until she had burst out the gates. She made her way to the battlements and looked over to see the water below. Her mind wasn't right, she wasn't thinking straight but right now, she didn't care. She started to step on the battlements as she looked down at the sea below her. She closed her eyes, flashbacks coming right at her, ignoring the voices in the background.
Her mother, her father, her sister, summoning Uraza, meeting Zerif, Tarik, Rollan, Meilin, Shane...Conor?
"Abeke!"
Her eyes quickly shot open as she felt two hands yank her backwards. She looked around confused until her eyes met a very familiar face, though it wasn't the same open, friendly face. His eyes were filled with so much anger, anger she had never seen from him before.
"What on Erdas were you thinking?" Conor yelled at her in anger, making Abeke flinch. She had never seen Conor so angry before and this scared her. This was probably the first time Conor had yelled at her.
"I-I...I-"
"Did you know what you almost did?" Conor went on, shouting at her, "You were about to jump off from the battlements. You were about to kill yourself! Just, what the heck were you thinking?"
"I...I thought-"
"No, you weren't thinking," Conor interrupted angrily then he took a step back and took a deep breath.
Abeke hung her head in shame. Conor was right, she wasn't thinking straight. She was only thinking about herself and not what others think. She closed her eyes, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. She felt extremely guilty and the fact that what happened to Shane still hurts weren't helping.
"I-I'm sorry," Abeke whispered so soft that Conor almost missed it, "I just...I just miss him..."
Abeke braced herself, expecting Conor to start shouting at her again but when that didn't happen, she slowly looked up. She saw Conor's eyes softened in understanding, the anger fading from his eyes to change into worry, so much worry.
Conor sighed, "Abeke..."
"It's my fault," she went on, "I should've been the one in a coma right now, not Shane. I should've ran instead of facing Uraza. I should've-"
"Abeke," Conor interrupted but this time, more softer, "What happened to Shane isn't your fault. Blaming yourself isn't going to heal him. He did that for a reason because he cared about you, he cared so much about you. If Shane hadn't saved you, then who would've found the bell on time and hit it before Rollan almost died to the Wyrm? Who would've saved the rest of Erdas?"
Now that Conor mentioned it, she started to feel much more guiltier.
"Abeke, blaming yourself, hurting yourself, killing yourself," he went on, "That's not going to help Shane. He saved you because he wanted you to be safe. If saving you only meant that you were going to end up killing yourself, then what did he save you for?"
Abeke hung her head down in shame and this time, tears ran freely down her eyes. She then felt warm arms wrap around her which she returned. She quietly sobbed into Conor's shirt and they stood there, not knowing how long they've been standing there.
"Abeke?" Conor told her softly, breaking the silence, "If you need a shoulder to lean on, if you need someone to talk to, i'm here. I'm always here."
Abeke whispered, "Thank you."
