Rollan's PoV:
          As he stepped off of the dock for the Tellun's Pride II, Rollan stopped to sigh. Erdas was turning back to normal since the Wyrm had been defeated, and they were finally, truly free. Though he knew that he should feel triumphant, he couldn't help but feel sad and downcast, and just slightly worried.
         Today they were supposed reunite with Conor, Meilin, and Takoda.
          He walked purposely across the dock and stepped out onto the bright, emerald-green grass of Greenhaven's lawn. He paused and tried to shake his head of the thoughts that said They won't come back, something happened to them, and (he couldn't help but blush) She will be back to see you.
          "Are you okay?" Rollan whirled to see Tasha and Abeke approach him with a worried, and just a slightly smug, face. With a screech Essix swooped down onto his shoulder and nipped at his ear. "Ow, Essix! And who, me? Yeah-- yeah, I'm fine." Tasha snickered, and Abeke chuckled, "Really? Because I really think that you're thinking of someone right now..."
           Rollan flushed bright red and forced himself to not look away, "Who? W-who would I be thinking about? I mean, I'd like to know that Conor's okay and that Takoda and Kovo are getting along and that they come back safely, so who would I be thinking about otherwise?" He finished with a worried glance around the clearing. Shaking her head with a smirk and bright, excited eyes, the girl responded, "Oh I know who you're thinking of, Falconmaster, and to prove it, turn around and say something to her."
Wait, turn around and say something to her-- he slowly turned to see four figures approaching from the depths of the forest. Conor stood smiling shyly with Briggan beside him, and Takoda stood hand-in-hand with a pale girl with white hair and pink eyes. Kovo glowered from beside as he trudged along nearby, and Jhi walked right beside-- Meilin, Rollan said to himself.
          She walked gracefully towards them and grinned at the sight of Abeke, Tasha, Rollan. She's here, Rollan felt his stomach twist with excitement, It's been so long...
          Though Abeke ran straight into Conor's arms, the two hugging and squeezing each other like the world was about to tear them apart, Rollan froze in place. His limbs wouldn't respond to his timid brain's commands to continue foward. He watched helplessly as Meilin froze too.
Then time stopped.
Meilin's PoV:
As the others rushed to greet each other, Meilin couldn't bring herself to join them. Rollan stood several feet ahead of her, also frozen in place. She felt a nudge from beside, and looked down to see Jhi trying to push her towards him. Alright, she thought, This is what you've wanted for a long time, and here it comes.
          Stepping foward, she found herself beginning to talk to the boy, "Rollan! You're here! I'm so glad that I finally get to see-- I mean I'm glad that you're safe."
          Rollan still didn't move until Essix nipped his ear sharply, "Ow! Again, really? Oh, uh, hi, Meilin." He smiled shyly. Why is he so quiet? Worry began to fill Meilin, Did I say something wrong? Sub-consciously deciding that she should keep talking, Meilin began to blabber on about how difficult it was in the caverns, how bright it seemed when they finally came out, and many other random topics at an unnaturally fast rate. The boy before her still did not move, and Meilin became more and more nervous.
Rollan's PoV:
          Say something, no matter how hard he tried, Rollan's limbs stayed still. His mouth stayed close, and Meilin continued talking. Her hands shook as she spoke and she avoided eye contact. As she finished explaining what underground mushrooms tasted like, she finally paused and looked away.
          Oh no, Rollan thought, Is it because I haven't spoken? Oh great now she's going to hate me and-- "Hey!" Rollan vigurously shook his head and looked up. "Jhi, stop!" Meilin complained as the panda "gently" rammed herself into her partner's side. With another shove, the girl stumbled foward, muttering Zhongnese words under her breath.
          With his paralzed body still uncooperative, Rollan found himself in the way of Meilin and the Great Panda. "Jhi I swear that I will--" Jhi rammed into Meilin a final time, and the young warrior went flying-- straight into Rollan's arms.
          "I-I'm sorry!" Meilin stuttered as the two clumsily tried to righten each other. But as their faces met, they both froze in an awkward embrace. Rollan stared into her dark brown eyes, sighed, and forced his lips to form a playful smirk, "Well this is a strange way to say hello, isn't it? Couldn't have just tried not to have a panda push you into me?"
          Meilin laughed joyfully, a sound full of relief, and hugged him tight. Rollan squeezed her back, wishing he would never have to let go. "I missed you so much," Rollan said without thinking. "Me too," replied Meilin. Jhi grumbled triumphantly from beside them and Rollan nearly didn't catch Abeke say, "I knew it."
