"This is where we lost Tarik," Ricko pointed in the direction of dense vegetation. Olvan, Lishay, Dorian and the best trackers in all of Greenhaven had followed Ricko to the place where Dorian was stabbed and Tarik stolen. Everyone was desperate to find him because Olvan was getting angry, and the memory about Lenori's dream that no one else knows about kept coming into his mind. Tarik's siblings were under safe conditions in Greenhaven Castle, awaiting the group's arrival.

The trackers - who had dog spirit animals - moved forward to take a closer look at the area. A Greencloak named Paul knelt down and examined the ground with his Beagle spirit animal while a woman named Molly went into the vegetation with her German Shepherd.

Olvan crossed his arms and waited impatiently. Time was running out for everyone. Lishay and Dorian looked at Olvan and noticed his gesture. They knew he wasn't happy with the group's teamwork, but in Lishay's head she knew that they tried. She remembered the time Dorian had been stabbed and Tarik immediately went to him. She remembered her and Ricko being held back as Tarik was the only one at the time trying to help Dorian. The only friends Lishay could blame were their spirit animals.

"We found a scent!" Molly called from the bushes.

Paul immediately raced over to Molly with his Beagle. Everyone else followed them, Lishay being the last in line.

"What is the scent of?" Olvan asked.

Molly used her spirit animal's power where she could smell what it smelled. "It's Tarik's scent... and..."

"And?" Ricko frowned.

Molly looked confused. "Lynk's scent is here too, with a lot of people I don't know."

Lishay looked at Olvan, who was a little shocked at what Molly said. Ricko was also surprised and turned away.

"I now know where they all went," Paul said.

"Tarik is alone," Molly added. "He escaped with a mountain lion."

"That's Lynk's spirit animal," Olvan said. "Perhaps Lynk was helping him?"

"Lynk was not with him, sir," Paul shook his head.

All of this was too strange to Lishay. If Lynk caught Tarik, why was his spirit animal helping him?

Dorian fell to the floor and clutched at his healing wound.

"Dorian! Hey! What's the matter with you?" Ricko picked him up.

"My side hurts," Dorian said.

"Stop whinging!" Lishay slapped Dorian over the head.

"Hey!" Dorian squirmed in Ricko's arms as they both got into an argument.

"Both of you, stop it right now! We don't have time for this rubbish. If you really want Tarik back then help us out by behaving yourselves," Ricko said firmly.

Both Lishay and Dorian stopped, but he was still in pain. Olvan really did not look impressed.

"Let's go find Tarik now," Olvan ordered as he jumped onto his horse.

Molly and Paul said a few words to their spirit animals and got onto their horses too as the dogs ran ahead into the scrub.

Ricko, Lishay and Dorian did the same and followed the trackers behind Olvan. Lishay could hear the dogs barking up ahead as their horses huffed and pushed through the density of the forest. She had hoped they were going the right way and that they would find Tarik soon. Lishay replayed Molly saying that Tarik was alone in her head over and over. That meant he wasn't dead, but it also didn't mean he was in good condition either. She wondered what the bandits could have done to him while he was there, and why Lynk's spirit animal freed him. It left an eerie vibe on the group as many questions were unanswered.

Tarik! We're coming to rescue you!
