Well, it looked at me and sent a silent snarl, teeth bared.

...I don't think it was smiling.

My eyes widened. I scooted against the window while I looked at it, making sure it didn't slip out of sight. While it growl, I checked it over, finding it was more of a black, grey, and white wolf. Torso was white, muzzle black, lower back was grey, tail was mixed up with all three. Legs were black, lower legs were grey, and toes were white. I had been studying it for five minutes before somebody whispered something to me.

I looked up, out of my daze of seeing a wolf on the bus. "Hm?" I asked over the rumble of the bus engine.

"Don't stare at my legs like that!" A girl said. After closer inspection, I found out it was my friend Aviana.

"Why not?" I protested. I hadn't heard her say legs.

"Wait, do you see something... Animal-like?" She asked, her eyes twinkling as she gazed at me.

"Uh, yeah, because you kinda brung a wolf on the-" I said sarcastically, but was cut off by her hushing me.

"Shut up! Anybody can hear." She practically growled at me.

"Anybody can see too." I muttered.

"Actually, not everyone. You must not know anything about Spirit Animals. Do you even know what they are?" She snarled.

"Uh, animal that are spirits?" I retorted. Then I remembered a book series I read, called Spirit Animals. "Wait, aren't they those spirits that are like your soul? They are like you and they stick with you. They are animals that match your persona...." I gasped. "Is that my Spirit Animal? Are you the Spirit Animal deliverer?" I asked inquisitively.

"No." She said bluntly.

"Then why-"

"This is MY SPIRIT ANIMAL. NOT YOURS." She snarled at me.

"I didn't know-"

"Just hush, child." She cut me off again. "Now, since you can see it, you must have one of your own... Why don't you have yours yet?" She asked herself.

"Why don't I have wha-"

"You haven't unlocked it yet! You don't know your core persona!"

"My core wha-"

"You. You are smart. You should know." She hissed at me before looking out the window.

"I should know... What, exactly?" I asked. I was completely lost.

"You have a Spirit Animal. You just haven't found it yet." She said simply, as if that covered everything.
