"I'm home~!"

You stepped in your house, welcoming the warming scent of your domain with open arms. It was your small hut of placidity, blocking you from the outside world's havoc, as you saw its everyday beauty and where you're most at peace. Hopping in your (fav-color) slippers, you glanced around the empty hallway leading to a familiar room. Your curious mind wandering how no one answered yet until rushed petit footsteps halted upon your presence.

"Sis!" - a small being enveloped their tiny arms around your legs with a powerful yet clingy grip. It was your dear sibling.

"Woah careful there, buddy!"

"You're late today!" - Your sibling mumbled, pouting a look. They had eyes that shined like rubies washed by an ocean of blood and a smile that ignited inner laughter in all who saw it. Their smile mirrored yours.

"I know, kiddo... A lot of work today."

"Staying late with doc ████ again, huh? You really like spending time together~"

"Ey," - you crouched down, ruffling their short dark hair. Your sibling really loved monsters. And they admired you for working with them, thus they'd always nag about your deep companionship with ██ ████ "Look who's teasing now. I guess naughties like you don't deserve chocolate that I bought, huh?"

"Chocolate!?"

"Now this whole chocolate bar is left for me to eat all alone... what shall I do?" - you teased in return with a hint of dramatism in your playful voice - your hand retrieved a newly bought chocolate bar.

Your sibling hopped from foot to foot, their arms extended towards the rich cocoa treat, a hungry yet greedy look provoked their rosy cheeks - "Gimme, gimme!"

"Ah ah!" - you rose the chocolate bar high up from their reach "Magic word?"

"Please, (y/n)?" - Their red eyes glistened in the lamp-light whilst their hair was like a shadow, hiding their face from the rest of the world. You knew your little sibling better than ever: they were silent, sometimes even hostile towards other kids their age, but you knew they were just a child bearing the burden of humanity's hatred. Very much like you.

"Pfft- Suit yourself kiddo."

"Yay! Thank you, Thank you, sis!"

Their laugh bounced around the bedroom, making you beam with happiness. Alas, this would be the last time you'd hear their giggles, for your life wasn't meant to be a peaceful one. Despite your affiliation with monsters, you were a human. And Humanity was igniting a new fire of war against them.

But you dismissed the world around you, letting your inner demons and conflicts be swept away from your weary eyes, as you lingered to stay with the only being that you called 'family'

"Heh, no problem, Cha̪̚͝ŗͬa̒"

Just as the last gushing lights of a hazy day left you, your dream ended abruptly, shaking you back into reality. You opened your eyes, The nebulous sensation made you feel as if you were still with your little sibling, sitting next to you... But instead of a green striped sweater, you were met with a familiar face. It was Kris, coyly nudging you awake.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm getting up..." - you mumbled, Your muscles felt sore, as if you wielded a massive weight doubling your size within your limbs. "Gosh, I shouldn't have pushed myself in dancing back there..."

Kris unhesitantly helped you get up, whilst a sheepish yawn escaped Ralsei when he rubbed exhaustion away from his sleepy eyes. "Erm, We're on "Jevil's" floor, right?

"Right," - huffed Susie, stretching her arms "Whoever that Jevil is..."

A lazy moment of solitude and relaxation was passed between the four of you, as you took a moment of waking up and recollecting yourselves. You, on the other hand, stepped towards the known cell wall, knocking in the same pattern for Jevil to acknowledge your arrival. But he didn't answer.

"Hmm... weird. He usually knocks back." - You knocked some more, this time softer, but your only response was an eerie silence reflecting with reticence. And Susie noticed that.

"How can we know for sure that he won't attack us? I mean, he's locked for a reason, right?"

"I can't guarantee that he's our friend, nor can I guarantee that he's our enemy..." - you sighed, trying not to sugar coat the situation "But even if he went against us, you know what to do?"

"Stick together and defend for as long as we can!" - the trio chimed enthusiastically, their stance is ready for a fight as they drew their weapons with courage. "We'll make sure he won't raise a hand at any of us."

You smiled, a gratifying smile. They've grown up so fast, they were ready for anything. No mother could compare to your pride for your babies.

"That's right. Now..." - you stepped towards the cell door, preparing yourself to finally meet the mysterious Jester behind it "Are you guys ready?"

With a nod and a sigh, you collectively stepped towards the cell-wall, the key evaporating from within your grasp only to desolate into a newly-framed door. Susie, Kris, and Ralsei waited for your command patiently... it was time.

* You stepped in.

You could barely see anything. Shadows muted colors of this seeming spacious prison, softening the volume of the dark humming. Your shadows were guests, dependant upon the existence of the gloomy walls, a passing memento to become nothing but submerge to the insanity that inhabited this cell.

You stood still, in front of you, a person stepped forward.

"(Y/n), (Y/n), my Lightner!" - Jevil took his stance, letting his physique to be outlined for you to view "You cannot fathom how much I've been anticipating you! I knew you'd grace me with your arrival!"

It was him, the devilish clown in his own grandeur. Jevil levitated unceremoniously around, smiling gaily and benevolently, with his bright grin drawn on his ghost-pale face. Standing bewilderedly, You took the smallest of steps towards him in return. "Um... I'm glad to see you too."

He hovered in the air towards you, unable to keep his trill. His prayer of finally meeting you physically was granted. Now you stood in his domain, only for him to marvel at. Alluringly, you would blink your eyes in surprise, your lashes drew in a darker hue of his place giving touches of distinction. And by God, was he enchanted by your splendid eyes, for no diamond could compare itself to your rapturous shade of (eye-color).

"What an honor, honor it is to be around your physical occupancy!"

"I, Uh... I promised you after all. So here we are."

Jevil himself didn't know what to mutter, his lips pressed together. He has touted that a form of beauty is merely a shell of aesthetics, something that could inspire lust, a thin replica of love based on desire and conquest. But with your radiance lightning this wicked cell - he began to understand. He grasped the beauty devoting within your soul: every time you opened your mouth to speak to him, to return his laughs with your own... he felt more than just desire.

"Ahem- Yes, we." - a ruff female voice called out from behind you, pulling him out of his daze. Tilting his head to the side, Jevil was met with new faces of (he guessed) Susie, Kris, And Ralsei. He completely forgot you were with them.

"Oh, visitors, visitors - I've heard of you as well. (Y/n) told me tales of your chivalrous adventures!"

Ralsei awkwardly waved at the clown, Susie growled and Kris just felt uncomfortable with such maniac - "Aha... hey, (Y/n), are we like going or?"

"Um, yes right, Jevil... we found the key pieces and fixed them just like you told me. Now that your cell door is open, you can say goodbye to this prison."

"Of course, of course! You've been bestowed on such a long journey, only to find all the key pieces... and you did this just for me, for me!" - He orbited around you, eyeing every angle and curve of your body as if you were his star before standing a good foot away - "But we had a deal. Remember?"

"Yes. I let you out of here, and you would help me-"

"But you forgot our appointed game, game!"

Susie began seeing the sketchy behavior leading to an outlandish course of dialogue "Okay, what're you two talking about?"

"Why, it's a simple number game-"

You saw his pitch black eyes glim with a sparkle of gold. Something went off. suddenly, a massive scythe rolled sharply at you "Watch out!" - You backed away from the flying weapon, your arm extended to push the preteens away.

"WHEN YOUR HP DROPS TO 0, YOU LOSE!"

"What's the meaning of this?! You promised-"

"And so did you. A promise of sharing a game with me, me. Just a little dance for us two to enjoy!"

You bit your lip, anger boiling rushingly in your throat. You were meant to let him out peaceful, leading him to tell you everything that he knew about this timeline and how to get out of it. But alternatively, this clown caught you in his trap only to gawk at your ability to fight. You felt like you can't reason with him easily - "Dammit."

Susie huffed, pulling out her ax while she stood beside you, comprehending your anger - "Knew it. Freeing criminals was never a good idea, you know that Miss (Y/n). What's next?"

"Get ready."

*You accepted his challenge to fight.

Jevil's eyes beamed, letting his sharp teeth to shimmer before bursting into a boisterous laugh - "Oh, Yes! Yes! At last, we can start our game - believe me, dear, I won't disappoint you with my performance. Now, now! Let the world revolve!"

Of a singularly serious and self-contained demeanor, your eyes pierced his. The jester bowed gently, before unleashing the hellish wave of attack that he yearned to demonstrate. Little was it known to you both - it was a battle of chaos and mobocracy. "I'll make you regret this."

Taking your usual fourth croisé position, you escaped his introducing attacks with ease. The spirit of the circus hovered around you willingly with each spin you twirled. "CHAOS, CHAOS, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!"

And indeed chaos it was. Kris saw you in actions, thus playing his role, he stood in defense trying to block any flying attacks with Susie while commanding his pal Ralsei to use his pacifying spells to weaken the Jester. Through the hassle and tumult, you danced through the night, your glorious figure gliding through the air as precise as you could to not befall upon Jevil's spades and clovers. But it only provoked a bigger fire inside the Jester, admiring to see your limbs move even more. "IT'S SO EXCITING... I CAN'T TAKE IT!"

"Are you out of your mind, we could've just got out of here rather than just make me jump like some sort of dummy for you to shoot at!"

"Oh please, dear. This whole nation has been gossiping about your... captivating dancing. The word of your movements has been spreading fast, fast, even if it was just your fighting technique. Everyone had been ogling on you! But, but - I'll have to admit..." - He vanished in a second before you felt a hand land gently around your waist, with a voice whispering lowly to your neck. "I crave to receive a taste of you myself."

"UGH, You Little-"

"Hang in there, Miss (Y/n) - we got you!" - Ralsei called out, using his full potential to unleash a forceful spell of pacifism upon Jevil. But it barely affected the darkner. Susie tried to interfere with her ax, cutting through any diamonds and hearts - but the bullets were far faster than her "Ha, you kids tire me up."

Teleporting left and right, the Jester became only more eccentric, discharging his magic by a conjuring trick. Nevertheless, he kept a dreamy eye on you, seeing your entire being moving with a purposeful clarity. The way you'd rise your legs while performing an Arabesque and swiftly arch your back - he was smitten to the core. You became a mess of beautiful chaos.

"G-guys, hurry up - I can't keep up with his speed." - you spun away from the bombastirous clovers, seeing how even his robust magic wasn't just sweeping you out of your feet, but out of Kris' and Susie's defense as well. "We're using all of our healing items, we don't have any left (Y/n)!"

Jevil saw your group tiring up, and he couldn't deny: all of you were on the same boat - he was panting, his cheeks rising a deeper hue of blue. But he didn't give up just yet. With a malicious grin and a purple tongue sticking out, he kneeled before you in a surprising act of attack - "HEARTS, DIAMONDS, I CAN DO ANYTHING FOR YOU!"

Another wave of Hearts rushed past your (skin-color) flesh, cutting through you like paper. With each stride you made, it became more painfully obvious how much will you put into your movements and how much punishing it was for you. The jester was blind for the excessive amount of damage he was causing with his silly attacks.

"I-I... can't." you breathed out, seeing how the male clown continued metamorphing his scythes to tease you. "Behold - the true and real CHAOS!"

A sudden gush of pain jolted throughout your body. Your stomach aches, your arms lost tension and legs began to weaken. 'He will not get the better of me,' you thought as you began hunching to the ground. Bruised and winded, with a leg in agony, you took your last points of health to just stand in one piece not seeing the final scythe aiming for a critical blow.

"(Y/n), watch out-"

But it was too late. The sharp weapon was the final strike. You stood numbly, feeling your SOUL tremble before finally shattering into million pieces.

Jevil gasped, his intoxicated expression faded faster than his metamorphing weapons. The trio of preteens gapped at your body. "No..."

Your soul faded.

*But it refused to die.

Hardly having any power to scream in agony, Susie, Kris and Ralsei watch with wide eyes as your luminous soul shards struck back together in their place to merge you back to reality. Your soul was back intact. You weren't ready to reset that easily.

Paralyzed in fear, the scent of perturbation invaded the room. Jevil's terrorized feet refused to move and his hands agreed to cover his trembling mouth. He couldn't believe his eyes. With the infinitesimal remnants of your souls merging together, Jevil watched as you stood back up, your eyes glowing with murder and bloodthirst.

"URGH, ENOUGH!" - A knife was pulled out, held tight in your grip, penetrating through any last boundaries of magical propulsions before sending Jevil your abhorrence glare. Susie, Kris, and Ralsei couldn't recognize you - but for you, you finally let your true nature run loose.

"A-ah..?" - Pure terror surged through the Jester's veins, like icy daggers straight to his heart. The fear he'd felt when he met your harrowing frown running to end him for good, forced him to instantly cower in surrender. You run, ready to turn him to dust with one hit... But nothing happened.

Silence. Jevil slowly rose his head to look. The knife was just centimeters above him - ready to perish his existence. But you just stood there, breathing heavily, staring at him. "...pathetic. It's no use."

You blinked. Closing your distressed eyes, before retrieving your knife away from everyone's attention. A deep wound is sliced in the flesh of your abdomen. You lightly press your hand against the center of the cut and suck in a sharp breath as the pain spirals all across your body. Colorful spots contour the sides of your vision, forcing you to almost dropping dead to the floor.

"(Y/n)" - the poor kids rushed to you, catching you on the moment; Jevil felt benumbed - his mind running like a hurricane of ruefulness. He tried to step towards you, hands gently retrieving your shaking body, but a blow from an ax prohibited him from doing so.

If you weren't ready to kill him, Susie was - "Stay. away. from. Her."

"Can this be true? I can't believe what I've witnessed. A soul like yours - to be as strong as you are. A memory stirs, you made me think of a man, from years ago - a man who told dark, yet darker secrets. He spoke of you..." - Jevil watched as the group tried to lift you up "He spoke of a human - yes a human. Far stronger and determined than any being. A human who broke her parole... she betrayed him."

"S-say what you must, don't leave it there!" - you groaned.

But Jevil only shook his head with fear - "Forgive me, my Lightner, I would not dare."

"Heh, that's what I thought..." - The world seems closer to your eyes and the air becomes more soupy, harder to breathe. A glossy sheen coats your eyes and your thoughts scatter like there's an electrical storm in your head, too many short-circuits to make any sense. Thus, you finally allowed unconsciousness to envelop you. And Although injured themselves - Susie, Kris, and Ralsei carried you out of this chaotic place.

Jevil slumps onto the floor, sweat rising on his darker features. The tension of earlier is gone, his face no different than the moment he saw his fatal attack shatter your soul. Watching the young Lighteners carry you slowly away from him, He closes his eyes and let his limbs fall loose, head tilting slightly backward.

Alone in his silence, he regretted his actions.

"C'mon, quick, You two hold her legs - I'll carry her upper body."

Filled with terror suffocating their throats to the brim, poor Susie, Kris, and Ralsei carried your body away towards the elevator. Susie took it upon herself to haul you as far as possible from the clown's hands while clutching your arms tightly. They feared you were on the edge of your deathbed.

"Just a little more and we'll be at the end of the stairs. R-ralsei, do something? Use your healing spells or something?!"

"I'm trying, I'm trying!" - Ralsei tottered, holding onto your weight with his smaller arms while invoking his last capabilities to heal you "Just hang in there, (Y/n)! Please don't die on us now..."

Alas, no matter how he endeavors in healing you with his wizarding chants - it was useless. Your health bar is far more enormous and complex to be healed in one puny spell. It hardly healed a fraction of your broken soul regardless of Ralsei's full power "W-what? It didn't work?!"

That's when realization knocked on Ralsei's mind: this whole time, you've been welcoming Jevil's attacks repeatedly, yet you kept standing on your feet for a long period of time. Just how much Level of Violence did you have to acquire so much health in the first place? "How..."

Kris was ought to remind Ralsei to centralize on his powers and help him carry your body away - but he also eyed something else, making him shudder in abruptness. From the sliding doors of the elevator, a massive figure stepped out. With each powerful stride, they neared closer and closer towards the young ones, their gargantuan body eclipsing the light from the elevator.

Kris warned his friends about the stranger, causing Susie to draw her weapon in deterrence, shielding you and the boys - "W-who are you?!"

But The Stranger did not answer. Instead, they kept on getting closer.

"Hey! I'm talking to you there!" - Susie roared, signaling her peers to step in as well. Although hesitantly, Kris and Ralsei softly lowered your unconscious body on the floor before joining her. Whoever that individual was, Kris certainly noticed their luminescent crown on top of their head "Don't you dare take another step!"

*The King himself has arrived.

He stood still, his grimace unreadable. Upon taking a look at your body and the wide open door of the familiar cell-door, The King of Spades promptly figured out what happened - You dared to fight Jevil.

"You're such a disaster..."

Cooed the King, his rumbly voice lulling you into unconsciousness, The same way his hand gently retrieved towards your petite form. Completely ignoring the infuriating heroes, He picked your body up, and instead of admiring soft and clear skin of yours, he was met with bloody gushes and weeping flesh in various shades of pink and red. Gentle as a trembling flower in a cold storm, your body laid burdenless within his grasp, your physique was so small and fragile in his embrace, his gaze fixated solely onto you.

"You've thrown yourself into unreasonable danger... Only to sacrifice yourself for someone else."

Perhaps the King's voice was drowning in sorrow, and perhaps his towering appearance confused Susie as to what force they're reckoning with. However, the young preteens didn't cower just yet - "Y-you..! Keep your hands off of her now!"

But the King heed no warning, for he wasn't an individual to command, and dominion over him was futile.

"As in for the rest of you," - He turned away from the kids, your body cradled in his arms away from any harm this world has caused you. The king didn't attack, nor did dare to, no, instead he brought his royal guards and commanded

"You'll be rotting in jail right as you should be."
