*Hoping to discover the truth about this world and this devilish clown makes you filled with...
D E T E R M I N A T I O N
The hot-pink forest was glitter kissed like it always is in the dawn of day and the trees were just as luminescent as they'd been the night before. Although atramentous darkness surrounded this land, making it troublesome for you to distinguish if there's day or night, the serenity and calmness of the dark were, nonetheless, appreciated.
Within your hands, rusty chunks of metal were held in a firm grip. Leaving Jevil's prison floor left you with an imperturbable yet warm state; and now with the two pieces of a key, You were endured on a forthright plan - find the third key piece, fix it, free Jevil and reunite with Susie, Kris, and Ralsei. Seems pretty easy.
You coarsed with the same Jigsawry and Hathy that accompanied you the other day, their guarding garrison is relaxed. Having promised to get you back to the same spot they found you yesterday, they escorted you safely back out of the castle before leaving you to continue your "mission of righteousness." As they liked to call it.
However, you didn't manage to take a step and a half when suddenly familiar voices echoed from behind you: "(Y/n)? (Y/n)!"
"Ah!" - a mass was suddenly glued to your legs. You couldn't turn around to identify the shorter figure when suddenly, another massive weight enveloped you "BAGH!"
"The School Counselor - she's alive!" - It was none other than Susie, Kris, and Ralsei who all jumped on top of you with an unexpected sweet hug, astoundment weighting their hearts. Though what weighed you were three preteens crushing your bones. "Gosh, goodness we were sick worried about you, Miss!"
"Aw, my sweet cinnamon rolls! You're here!" - you tried to breathe once the killing weight stood up from you "I'm so glad to get back to you!
"Wha- Why are you so calm? Miss (Y/n), you were imprisoned, for Pete's sake! We've been running all around trying to get to you as fast as we can!"
"If it weren't for Lancer and those random Hathies that informed us about your well-being, we would've never guessed that you got out!"
"Heh, you should've seen Kris! He was crying like a baby."
Kris embarrassingly punched Susie in the shoulders as she laughed, explaining that he let his mind wander to the worst possibilities that could occur to you... He thought they have tortured you in prison. But Ralsei swept the sorrow off of everyone with his fluffy and sweet demeanor :
"I'm so relieved I could fly out of happiness... Now that this burden is out of our way, (Y/n) is finally back in our team! Cue the fanfare!"
*(Y/n) REJOINED THE PA-
"Stop with the Fanfares dude!"
"Sorry..."
After absurd and bamboozling laughs, the squad was back at it together. However, it didn't mean you could relax just yet - you were ought to tell Susie, Kris, and Ralsei about your upcoming plans, and most importantly, about JEVIL:
Your younger peers circled you, curiosity filling their mind. They listened patiently as you rehearse everything that went on with you during your absence. At first, they thought everything was settled - but when you started telling them about your 'new friend', their full attention was drawn towards you. Hence, pulling out two key pieces, you revealed them your intentions.
"Wait..." Susie mumbled, staring at the key "We've seen something like that. Hey, Kris, didn't we pick up a random junk or something earlier?"
Kris gasped as he pulled out a piece of metal. It was the last piece of the key.
"It's the same material! (Y/n) I think we already have all the pieces ready!"
"Woah, where did you find it?" - You asked Kris, which he simply told you that he wandered off into the forest and accidentally stumbled upon it "O-okay? In that case, the only thing left for us is to somehow merge those pieces together... which actually I haven't thought this one out."
"Let's just bash them together and see what happens." - Susie offered, but Ralsei digressed. "Smashing or whacking things never helps!"
"Always helped me."
The boy sighed, giving up on her - "I might have an idea. I know a smith not too far from here who helped us fix Kris' armor. I'm pretty sure this small key will be no problem for him as well."
"That's great! Where can we find him?" - you asked
"Well, here's a problem..."
_________________________
You hid behind bushes, your curious head popping out to peek at the objective of your interest. Susie, Kris, and Ralsei did the same thing, leaves naggingly stuck on them. In front of you were tall figurines of what seems to be origami cut-outs. Their appearance very much resembles smooth cardboard, as their bodies were flat and two-dimensional. With the forest radiating on them, it was hence painful to glare at their shapes, as their entire physique mirrored a bleached white paper.
"Ugh, those origami rats." - huffed Susie sowerly "We've been trying to pass this hoards of dancers to get to the other side, but they only SPIN and CUT US."
"We already encountered them before." - whispered to you Ralsei, "They group in here and start spinning, but if we try to get any closer to them they suddenly get aggressive and cut us with their sharp limbs! The problem is that The Smith is located right behind their path."
Kris pointed you to the narrow pathway right behind the group of paper dancers, indicating that there's no way to pass them without stumbling against them. The four of you stared silently, observing their movements. They were grouping in no particular order, as they wandered around aimlessly before a suddenly certain one of them stood and announced: "Assemble."
Your eyes narrowed, examining their following actions. The moment they heard the command, all of them line up in a respective line and order. Enduringly high and faultless was the name of their position while they began moving their glistening sharp limbs; You quickly noticed a pattern: They began practicing their moves, like corps de ballet dancers who danced gracefully as a group, not as soloists. With the mellow humming of the forest dawdling as their music, their Center of practice was the clearing path of this meadow.
"Guys, they're practicing..." - you identified their warm-ups "I think they're rehearsing a choreography of some sort. It's like... They are ballet dancers!"
The trio gaped at you before turning to observe more carefully. Kris, being the silent yet sly child that he is, began nudging you with his elbow, a small smile of mischief snuck onto his lips. He was recommending you to step in and dance with those Ballerinas. You, on the other hand, were completely flustered.
"K-kris! No, you know I haven't participated in any kind of ballet in years! I can't just waltz in and start dancing with them?"
But Susie instantly caught the drift, smirking playfully - "Heeey, Kris is right! Last time I saw, you were avoiding attacks as if you were dancing."
"They have a point, (Y/n)" Ralsei clapped his hands together "Try it out. If you smoothly join them maybe then you'll convince them to let us pass?"
You gulped. You eyed the belligerent paper-dancers, seeing how their slow and precise dynamism was perfect, you let out a shaky breath. Years have passed and your own ballet skills became sluggish. Even if you were avoiding monsters' attacks by dancing around: You were doing it innocently, out of sheer adrenaline. Dread and anxiety rooted within your body, before forcing you to break out of your frozen state. "...Fine, I'll try."
With clenched fists and pursed lips, you stood up while the trio of young preteens burst into cheers, watching you surreptitiously merge between those dancers. One may agree it was unsettling, but with slow and stealthy steps, you headed to line up with the group of ballerinas without provoking any attention. You felt like a deer waltzing on wolves' domain.
"C'mon, Counselor! Show them what you got!" - Susie beamed a toothy grin at you while almost jumping from her hiding spot out of sheer excitement (which resulted in Kris and Ralsei pulling her to stay low). They watched you from afar, while You stood your ground between some random paper-ballerinas.
"Chaînés." - one of the paper-figures announced. "Attitude."
*The performance has begun.
One by one, each of them rose their leg to the front, while you did the same. Despite your hammering heart knocking against your rib-cage, you eased your temper, trying to focus on your position. 'I can do this, I still remember something.'
"Dedans" - Everyone swiftly rose their legs to the front.
"Derrière" - And then to the Back.
"Dedans" - front once more,
"Derrière" - And Back again.
You imitated their movement, eyes focused on the origami-figures' maneuver rather than yours. Each of them stood - they were upright and rigid like a sergeant major. You, on the other hand, had a resembling posture of a strand of spaghetti - But you kept on.
"Demi-pointes" - the choreographer announces, positioning everyone on their toes. Except you, incipiently, couldn't see it. Because for you it looked as if they were still standing high on their geometrical feet. Thus, you stood confused, irritating the teacher "I said - pointes"
"Oh, sorry..." - your heart ricocheted off your rib cage. You, proud and tall, rose on your toes, despite the tension on your muscles since you didn't have any pointe shoes on you. But you fought the shiver brushing your already quivering legs.
"Man... we'll never get past them like that."
"Susie, you're not helping."
"And now," - the teacher cleared her throat, still keeping a harsh eye on you "Attitude, Grand Battemant - to the side."
The prime gist of motion repeated several times, your body finally adapting to your surrounding command as you began to control more sublimely and exquisitely. You let yourself to be articulated through the progress of your joints, your legs flowing, rather than the contrasting stoic movements of the porcelain paper-dancers.
"One more time - Pointes, attitude, Grand Battemant."
*Kris noticed the tension
You wholehearted repeated after them, your speed building up with each fidelity of your legs, your arms fluttering around like a swan's wings while gaining a bigger attention from your fellow ballerinas around. You were dancing the same gestures but your flow was foreign - different. Now the attention was yours until finally, the principal dancer announced "Pirouette"
And thus you twirled. You displayed your iconic twirl with a strong stand in the center with utmost might and efficacy, your (hair-color) hair locks spinning. The paper-ballerinas gasped, stopping their routine, their eyes were on you - they've never witnessed such acceleration with such swift agility.
"HELL YEAH! YOU GO (Y/N)!" - Forgetting that you are the same person who could suspend her from school, Susie roared, breaking free from Ralsei and Kris' grip. But your victory was run short.
"Enough! Cut the play - stop." - the choreographer declared with spite, her voice rich with intolerance "You there, Name yourself."
You stopped your pirouette in a sudden manner, Every dancer froze dead in her track, as they descended to the back in dismay - "(Y/n), miss."
"Your movements are harsh and too rushed for our pace - this is no excuse to show your abilities in such crude manner but to disobey the choreography and art of Ballet. Care to explain your actions?"
"I.. Um," - you started to sweat, trying to steal a glance from your peers who hid in the bushes. But unfortunately, even they were helpless. You tried to quickly think of a plan - "I-I was just displaying MY performance. I came here to practice, thinking I'd see professional and challenging techniques - but instead I was met with an unperturbed come up to Classical Ballet."
"W-what is she talking about?" - Susie whispered to the boys; your jittering voice was brimming with unusual cunning confidence. But Kris noticed something else - you held your hands behind your back. You were making weird signals with your finger... It seemed nonsensical until Kris realized that you were pointing to the open path towards the smith. Kris signaled the group to move on "Oh, Kris is right, (Y/n) is trying to win us some time! Let's move..."
"Excuse me?! This is the basic motive of classical ballet! Your movement must be slow and flowing - each turn still and precise! But yours-"
"Mine," - you interrupted her calmly "Is a result of my determination. Not every choreography must be presenting an Adagio kind of style. But rather displaying different emotions and movements - from slow to fast. That visualization is my style."
"Well, if you consider yourself an expert - why won't you share it to us? I challenge you to a duet of Divertissement. Pieces of short Ballet choreography called "entrées" - each of us will demonstrate their choice of style and skills." - the tall ballerina took her stance in the clearing, ignoring the three young preteens sneaking right behind her with key pieces.
Your eyes widened with shock. But you had no choice to get out of this mess that you aroused "Let's just get over with."
In the depth of the forest, not too far of the Castle, whispers and gossips flowed in the air while Ballerinas watched you two with curious eyes. The choreographer bowed to you, taking her position to your opposing side before starting the spectacle.
With chain-free and expressed mobility, both of you were independent to dance in your own personality. The Principal of Choreography displayed her best abilities of slow and serene movement that no geometrical shape could intimidate. But you, on the other hand, were a complete difference. You let your mind loose, kicking your right leg forward with pointed toes and flexed calf muscles, your figure pivoted in a revolving whirl of sharp precision and accurate grace. Your body mirrored your chaotic will of dancing rapidly against anyone's control.
*The stage of the forest was yours.
"Everyone, gather around - there is a competing performance." - Others saw it as eccentricity, but to you, it was a joy. Expression through movement was your genius and watching you spin was more breathtaking to the Darkners than the blooming flowers of this forest. A bigger crowd began to hoard.
Lightener v.s Darkner
Adagio v.s Allegro
"A new Ballet dancer?"
"What a Grande Jeté she's performing!"
"Look - It's the Lightner! It's her!"
"Someone must inform the K i n g about her splendid ploy!"
"Okay, the key is fixed, now we need to tell (Y/n)." - Ralsei proclaimed as the three Delta Heroes returned, surprised to see an enormous crowd cheering for a certain (hair-color) female.
"Your Danse de caractère... It is something unique, Lightner! Certainly isn't from our world."
"I, uh" - you steadied your breath "Thank you... I apologize if I broke your routine of practice I just-"
"No no, you proved me your point. And I must congratulate you - perhaps your moves different from ours, but you showed everyone that there is beauty in its own." - The Ballerina spoke in a softer tone, before taking your palm with utmost delicacy to not hurt you. Surprisingly, an item was placed within your palm. You looked down in surprise, only to see a (fav-color) hair-band for your hair that looked like a mess after your dancing spectacle - "Thank you so much, miss!"
"Good luck Lightner."
"(Y/n)! We're over here!" - A sheepish voice shouted for you. Turning around you were met with none other than Kris, Susie and Ralsei "Man, we just stepped out for five minutes and missed a whole show? That sucks! At least we fixed that key of yours..."
Susie opened her hand to display a newly polished key, shining gloriously in her palm - "Oh my god, you did! Now we can go to-"
"Here they are," - The four of you were ready to head back to the castle, with your newly fixed key, but alas it was never meant to be that easy. A group of Ranger Ruddins was sent by the royal court the moment they received a loud commotion of a crowd gathering. The Guards guessed that the Delta Warriors were present there - thus, Their eyes searched, their gaze traveling between every resident, until they spotted a well-known (your-height) figure accompanied with three younger Lighteners - "The Lighteners! Take them."
You turned around, noticing a group of Ruddins in armor pushing through the crowd in desperation to reach you. "They're after us. R-run!"

In his own sealed circus, where no soul or visitor would dare to step in, a lonesome Jester leaned on the wall, his hands tucked away his expression.
Jevil sat, the same spot he'd sit whenever he heard your voice from the other side, waiting patiently for your presence to grace him. Albeit he highly vacillated his fantasies - he was a heinous clown, unseemly and deranged that only revolved woe around him; why would you burden such a horrendous creature under your own wing of protection? He hid his eyes, his crippled tears within his palm, despondent himself from any sound, noise or voice that surrounded him, for he was solemnly alone in his deafening silence.
*The elevator door opened once more.
Slowly, he rose his head, away from his palms - there were abrupt footsteps radiating from the staircase. They weren't yours, there were several different...
"We actually escaped, we did it!"
"HA! Screw the guards - they'll never find us."
Jevil listened meekly some more, his senses in alarm; as revelation took over him, a smile of epiphany returned to his lips once he heard your awing voice: "It's alright, we're safe here... We can finally relax."
The clown kept silent, distinguishing three new voices: a rough girl, a young boy, and other footsteps of a young male who barely spoke. Jevil listened, and listened some more, not tiring himself to even raise a muscle; the four of you were so comical and ludicrous to each other, it seems these three younger children were indeed your friends. He heard you giggle, worry about each other as if your breaths were stolen from your lungs.
But no laugh or tone could overcome your own - as Jevil was once more drifted in his mind whenever he listened to your voice and footsteps. You were so tender towards those juveniles. He envied their position. Once your voices were settled, Jevil overheard the trio discussing their lack of sleep, noticing that each of them went slowly to dream away their exhaustion. But you stayed quiet, and so did Jevil.
"What is it, Kris? You can't sleep?" - Jevil heard you whispering to a younger boy whose voice was almost unheard. "Come'er, let me tell you a story I used to tell to my younger sibling..."
With muffled movement, Jevil noticed you sliding right across his cell door, with the younger boy brought closer into your arms. He saw an undeniable resemblance to a caring sibling, as the boy calmed down in your arms once you began telling him a peculiar story.
And as you began narrating your little tale cradling Kris slowly to sleep, Jevil stayed awake.
"Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: Humans and Monsters."

"You let H E R escape?!"
A roar of rage escaped The King. His voice was a poisonous venom, as his bowing soldiers were nothing but victims of his hatred and wrath. The poor Ranger Ruddins knew they stood on edge of their demise, thus they had no option but to talk their King out: "I apologize, your mightiness, but the four Lighteners were already ahead of us. She took the younger ones with her and They were eager to get inside the castle-"
Lancer held on onto his father's throne, seeing how anger boiled within his head. The poor boy knew of your whereabouts, but he sincerely didn't wish for you and the rest to meet his dad's acrimony: "Um, D-dad, I don't think (Y/n)-"
"SILENCE." - a deafening silence crept into the throne room, making Lancer shudder behind the throne, away from his Father's berserk expression. The King of Spade gripped onto his throne chair, a shadow cast upon his maniacal face, as even darkness bowed under his will.
"It seems, that Lightner has an eye for other plans. How sweet of her. But if you can't capture that little bird... "
The King rose up from his throne, letting his smirk be consumed with desire
"Then I'll do it myself."
