With each passing day,Jai's love for Vennela grew stronger.Everything about his maradalu made him crazy.

When she went up to the terrace to dry clothes,he would be there.Pretending to be on a call,he would ogle at her.

If she was in the kitchen with his mother he would go there.In the pretext of taking something from the fridge,he would steal glances at her.

They sat down at the edge of bar.Jai ordered a beer for himself and non-alcoholic mojito for his maradalu.

Trusting her bava she took a sip.

J mv: Go and sit inside a fridge then...

He wished to tell that on her face but insulting a person was not his character.

J: Sorry,I'm taken and that's my girl.

He said coolly pointing at Vennela who was looking around like a kid lost in fair.Already her ego was hurt by Jai's straight rejection as if that wasn't enough he had a beautiful lover.She gulped down her drink in fury and shot him a look of contempt.Grabbing her purse in anger,she staggered her way out of there.

Jai continued sipping his beer.

Vennela who had already taken two shots of tequila from the tray of a waiter who passed by,was in a frenzy.She began dancing and called Jai to join her.

They danced until they had enough.It was late so they decided to return home.

Jai shuddered at the thought of  himself in a red baniyan and flower printed bright shirt over it.A handkerchief around his neck and yellow coloured silk lungi draped around his waist.His mouth stained with paan and smoking beedi.He immediately diverted the topic.

J: Huh...uh...Vennela how did you like the club?

V: Yes bava!I liked it so much...it's so fun!!We should come here daily!

J: What?Its not a temple to visit everyday.Once a while is fine.

Vennela reached out for the remote in his hand but he was holding it firmly.A silent struggle for the device ensued between them.

To defeat him,she left her hold on the device and she positioned her hand over his.Her subtle touch ignited his desires and he loosened his grip.Using that chance,she seized the remote and waved it at him.

V: I won!I won!😃

She squealed.Jai was not someone to give in easily.He snatched the remote from her.It was his turn to show her the smug face.

V: Bava!You're not watching the show I know...give me the remote!😤

J: So what if I'm not watching?I just want this channel to remain.No changing.😑

She held her stomach.Jai panicked and rushed to her side.

Jai didn't have an answer.His  mother would definitely be upset by his deed.He stood with his head bent in shame.Studying the look on her son's face,Latha felt something was amiss.

L: Jai,I'm talking to you.

J: Amma...that...err...what happened was...we were watching tv then...

Vennela entered the scene and interrupted their conversation.

V: ...then I had a bad headache.I fell asleep.Bava also didn't wake me up so I couldn't prepare lunch...sorry athayya...

Beads of sweat formed on the sides of his face as he inched towards her mouth.Feeling nervous,Vennela clenched her eyes and pressed her lips together.

Seeing her tensed,Jai left his hold on her waist and withdrew.Vennela gently opened her eyes thinking he had left but he was standing right before her teasing her with a notorious smirk.

Before she knew,he hauled her against his chest and pressed his lips on hers.Vennela's eyes widened by his gesture then fluttered to a close as they began kissing.

Jai broke the kiss and looked down at her.He needed to know if she was truly willing or merely succumbing to him.

J: Bangaram,are you ok with this?If you're not,I'll stop...

The milk that was kept on the stove was almost going to boil over.Vennela pushed him and hastened to turn off the stove.

Taking that as a no from her side,Jai turned to leave.

V: Bava!

He stopped and looked back at her.She ran into his arms.Rising on her tiptoes,she pulled his head down and smacked her lips against his.He responded by wrapping his arms around her waist and they locked lips again.This time better than the first.

They paused to catch their breaths.Both did not want to take it further and decided to stop.Jai kissed her one last time before they broke the hug.

Feeling shy,Vennela ran to her room.

He called but she did not stop.

However Vennela was is no mood to reply.Quietly she went off to her room and shut the door.

Her family was surprised by this change in her but they thought it was because she was tired and allowed her to rest.Lying on her bed,Vennela sobbed hard thinking about her bava.

Jai called his home the next morning to speak to Vennela but his dad picked the call.Soon all the members of his clan grabbed the phone for a chance to speak to him.He was irritated but he couldn't be rude to them so he spoke calmly.
