Sophie's POV
After Fitz helps me with the Stina Incident, I go to my telepathy. On the way there I stop in my tracks, realizing that this was the the class that Fitz Vacker attended with me. Things in there might go a little awkward after this morning. But here I went, to telepathy session, with Fitz.
I open the door, exactly on time, to find Tiergan and Fitz sitting on the couch discussing something. "Hello Ms.Foster. Mr.Vacker and I were just discussing a little bit about the thing that we are going to practice and do today." Tiergan welcomely says to me. I hope it's not what I'm thinking. This cannot be the day I tell Fitz my biggest secret, especially after this morning. "Today, Sophie, you and Fitz are going to tell each other your biggest secrets." Tiergan says.
Oh no. There it was. The horrible, embarrassing thing that I wanted to avoid ever since me and Fitz became cognates. Fitz, who must've saw my face pale, when he said "I can go first if you like Sophie, I mean I know this is kinda a big deal for you, since you've been avoiding this topic since we became cognates. It doesn't concern me, as much as it concerns you. Trust me, there's no reason to worry." He said, using the last sentence that probably runs through the Vacker generation. "Tell me when your ready, Ms. Foster." Tiergan said. I took one finaldeep breath. "I'm ready" I say. I let Fitz enter my mind.
While transmitting, Sophie is italics, and Fitz is underlined.
Well Sophie, tell me when you want me to go.
I'm ready anytime.
Umm okay Fitz but PLEASE go first.
Ok Sophie. Like I said, it doesn't bother me as much as it does to do.
Ok. Sophie my secret for years has been that... I like you. More then a friend or cognate Sophie. But I know you don't think of me that way. And it's okay.

He smiled one of his movie worthy smiles at me, but I really couldn't believe what was happening. I mean Fitz Vacker likes me. I thought I'll always be the girl with the freaky brown eyes, and the 5 cool abilities, who will never fully fit in to the Elvin world. But after a minute ago, I thought differently. "Sophie Sophie, are you okay?" Fitz asks. "You look like you just found out that Keefe is in the Neverseen." "Oh sorry Fitz." I say, trying to snap out of the shock I'm in. "It's just that... wait can we transmit now pls?" I say "Okay um sure"he replies. (Remember, Fitz is underlined and Sophie is italics.)
It's just that I... okay. I say taking a deep breath. My secret has been that I like you too. It's just that I never would've thought that you, FITZ VACKER, would like a girl like ME.
Now it was Fitz turn to go pale
Sophie, I honestly never thought that you would like me. I mean you are literally the most powerful elf anyone has ever seen. Being a Vacker can be really hard sometimes. I mean, we are always treated like royalty, so everyone always expects the best from us. It wasn't until 3 years ago when we found out about Alvar, he noticeably paused, okay. It wasn't until Alvar, that people started treating us a little bit better. Like equals, but only a little bit. So yeah.

Wow this was actually happening. I honestly couldn't believe it. "Yeah Fitz. So umm I am kinda getting late for my next class." I said. "Umm yeah Sophie, come over to my house after school?" Fitz asks hopefully. "Sure bye" I say, while I keep on pinching my arm to make sure this is not a dream.
