That Was You

Peter Parker groaned as he listened to the obnoxious alarm clock squawk in his ear. Peter slapped the top where the button was and slouched when it finally stopped. He groaned loud into his pillow before grabbing his phone off the charger. He saw it was Saturday and smiled before pushing himself out of bed.

"Time to start the day, Pete." He told himself before looking for a shirt to throw on. Before he could though. He received a call from Tony Stark.

"Mr. Stark," Peter answered with a confused tone as he put his phone on speaker and sat it down so he could slide on his grey shirt.

:.:Hey Pete, I wanted you to come down to the tower today. That good?:.:

"Whaaaa, oh yeah! Aunt May is educating other nurses out of the city right now so I'm enjoying the weekend alone." He began to go to the restroom and brush his teeth.

:.:Perfect! You could stay all weekend if you'd like. I've got nothing better to do:.:

"Really? Mr. Stark that would be absolutely amazing! I mean . . . yeah sure. As long as you don't mind." Peter cleared his mouth with water before taking his phone and walking to the kitchen.

:.:Aw, Pete, come on. You're always welcome to stay. I'll come to get you. Happy is grumpy today:.:

Peter smiled as he sipped at a bottle of water. "Alright, I'll get some stuff and let May know. Thanks, by the way."

:.:Anytime:.:

Peter smiled after the phone call ended. He was so ready to spend a weekend at Stark Tower! How exciting is that?!

Time Skip

"Hey Pete, hop in. I've got some good stuff to add to that suit if yours. I was thinking about spiderwebs that when you shoot they stick to a surface and act as a tripwire but also grasps the bad guy. It's a working concept." Tony chuckled as he talking about his thinking and active mind.

"That's a great idea." Peter looked out his window as a traffic jam started. "Y'know for a billionaire you still get stuck in a lot of regular peoples problems." Peter snorted.

Tony sighed and put the car in park, "Yeah, I know. Or it's just me seeing how much I can get out of you about your personal stuff."

Peter laughed and sighed. "You know, I met you when I was six years old."

This made Tony raise a brow and take off his sunglasses to get a full view of the boy. "Really? I'd think I would remember you. I mean I care-talk to you so much now." Tony cleared his throat and tapped his fingers nervously, hoping Peter hadn't caught that.

"Thanks for caring." Tony couldn't help but smirk and look back to Peter. "Anyway, I had an Iron Man mask and hand blaster. It only lit up and made noises. I got lost in the crowd and came face to face with this giant metal bot. I was too young to really know that I didn't have a working hand blaster. I aimed it at the metal man and then you came in front of me and blasted the guy. You saved me. That moment just made me believe in you more than anything else." Peter kept eye contact. Socially awkward Peter Parker actually kept eye contact and didn't even flinch when Tony went to say something.

"Y-Really?" Peter nodded and smiled a bit. "That was you? I remember that! Holy crap!" Tony smiled. "If only I noticed you sooner then maybe we wouldn't pretend we didn't want to be. . . closer." Tony smiled and put his sunglasses back on.

"Yeah." Pete smiled and looked out his window.
