"Mr. Stark, there was an emergency call for you," FRIDAY announced. Tony furrowed his brow. Emergency call? Avengers maybe? Tony grabbed his phone and checked it. It was a school. Peters school. Tony's breath caught in his throat and a cold pit was embedded within his stomach.

Tony hit the 'call back' button and put the phone to his ear as he ran to put his shoes on and jumped into the elevator.

"Is this Tony Stark?" It was that lady he saw in the office at the school when he had gone to sign guardianship papers for Peter. Ever since May died a year ago it was either Tony or an Avenger that would be called about something. This was only the second time. The other time was when Peter was sent to the office for forgetting his physics paper. Tony had brought it and ruffled the kids hair.

"This is he," Tony simply answered, trying his best to not sound panicked.

"Mr. Parker has been taken to the West Crest Hospital. He struggled to get away from the option for your information. He said it was the wrong choice. Anyway, he had a sever headache and noise was bothering him. He also had a bad fever of . . . 103.5." Tony was already in the car on the way to the hospital to take his kid home and have FRIDAY block out all sound and dim the lights to twenty-five percent.

"Thank you," Tony ended the call before making a sharp turn and entering the hospitals parking lot. Tony rushed in and went to the front desk.

"What can I do-."

"Peter Parker. I'm his legal guardian and I have got to see him right now," Tony was so panicked. His eyes were wild and he was heavily breathing. The hospital lights were worse for the kids heightened senses. Peter had only ever had two sensory overloads whilst with Tony. Those two were possibly the worst thing he's ever seen. Worse than panic attacks.

"He's in room 113."

Tony took off and managed to get to 113 in record time. He came into the room to see the doctors giving Peter ear plugs and trying to get him to take pills.

"Hey," Tony caught the doctor's attention. "That's my kid and I'm taking him home. I've got a whole tower that can block out sound and he's going." Tony was ready for the doctor to challenge him. Peter had tear stains flowing down his cheeks. The boy looked almost as bad as when he came into the hospital when he had got notified that May was dead and Peter was on his way to the orphanage.

"M-Mr. Stark, it's worse than the other two. So much w-worse," Peter mumbled to the older man.

"It's gonna be okay, Pete. Take the ear plugs and let's go," Tony encouraged. The boy began to stand from the hospital bed when the doctor pushed him back down.

"No. He's in my care. He's going to be fine if he stays here." The doctor stated firmly.

"You saying I can't take my kid home? I think not. Pete, let's go, now." Tony was staring at the doctor. Peter tried getting up again and this time succeeded.

"Bye Doctor," Tony states as he hooked an arm around the teenager and helped him out of the hospital. Tony walked straight out and helped the boy in the car as he shut the door gently.

"This is going to be loud and I'm sorry. I brought the quietest car." Tony whispered to Peter.

Peter smiled and nodded as he kept his hands over his ears. "Can't be worse than the ambulances loud jarring noise."

"Oh god kid, I'm so sorry. I was working and didn't look at my phone. FRIDAY apparently didn't think she should disturb me when I was working. It was you and you come first. Stupid A.I." Tony was whispering to Peter. Peter smiled, he knew the rest of the team would taunt Tony for being so overprotective.

"Mr. Stark, there's no reason to be sorry. Thank you, by the way," Peter mumbled as he curled up in the seat.

"Anytime, Kid."

The car ride was short and not so loud. Tony stopped the car, turned off the engine then looked to Peter, "this is going to be somewhat loud." He whispered. Peter could only nod. Tony got out but left his door open. He went around to Peters side then opened the door and left it open. Peter stepped out into the huge garage of the new Avengers facility. Tony wrapped an arm around the boys shoulders and walked him to the elevator. He left the doors open and made a mental note to have Happy shut them in a moment.

"Here," Tony gave him some earplugs that were more cushioned as he opened a secret hatch and the ear plugs were there.

"Did you do this for me?" Peter asked.

Tony nodded as he hugged the kid close and clicked the main floor where the avengers were sure to be. "Now, Pete, all of those loud dorks are here. These are going to help but I'll make sure to let them now as soon as possible. I'd tell FRIDAY but she'll be too loud to answer," Tony informed. He could now speak regularly.

"Sure thing, Tony." Over time Peter had grown to call Tony . . . well Tony instead of a well mannered Mr. Stark.

The elevator dung an annoying ding and made Peter cringe at the nails against a chalkboard type noise. The transition of the doors opening, talking and Mario cart made the boy want to hide away in a corner staring at the minuscule cracks.

"Avengers, sensitive spider protocol," everyone went dead silent and the tv shut off immediately. FRIDAY got the hint as well and shut every blind and enforced the block all sound outside the building. The A.I also turned down the lights to a soothing 30%.

"Thank you guys, I'll go to my room then it can all go back to normal. I'll just have FRI do all of this to my room. Need the sleep anyway," Peter assured as he began to walk off. But, he ended up crying out and on the floor. The Avengers were quick too be but Tony was there first.

"What's wrong?"

"I-It's bad again. E-Even with earbuds in and the quiet. Why is it so bad?" Peter sobbed and it hurt to cry because of how loud it was. Clint looked to Tony with a pained expression for the boy on his hands and knees. Three of the avengers were bent down to his level, the others were surrounded and hovering.

"Clint, help me to his room," Tony whispered to where Clint could barely here. Clint only began to grab Peter as a response to the order.

The two men helped the boy to his room before laying the boy down and having FRIDAY take the protocol off of the rest of the guiding except for Peters bedroom and his bathroom.

"Pete, you need anything and you tell me. Okay? Have FRI inform me." Peter only nodded as he wrestled to get under his blankets. Clint smirks and walked out. Tony smiled at the boy and watched as he made it under the blankets and into the warmth of his bed.

"Will do. Thanks, Tony."

"Anytime," Tony responded. He grabbed the handle and was about to walk out. He turned back to Peter and whispered a, "I love you."

"I love you too," Peter responded. The door was gently shut.

That day, Tony couldn't help but feel like a successful father.
