Maybe next time you'll listen, Tony.

Peter had been struggling for a while now. Between the internship, school and swinging through the city, he had a full plate. This week had been a colossal stressor as well. Ned was sick and MJ was out of town leaving him lonely.

"Mr. Parker, would you please pay attention when I am lecturing?"

Peter looked up from his textbook and found that he was two slides behind in notes and Mr. Henderson, his least favorite teacher was glaring at him.

"Sorry sir, I didn't mean to day dream. It won't happen again."

"It better not." Henderson looked back at the board, but he continued to glance at the boy over his half moon glasses. His glasses would have made him look like Dumbledore, if he didn't glare all the time.

Class continued, until the ring of the bell, freeing Peter from the horrible class.

"Hold on class. I do have one more announcement before your school day comes to an end." Peter slumped back into his chair, holding back a groan. Happy wouldn't be very happy if he was late. "I know its last minute, but the school board received a notification that the school that had the field trip to Stark Tower fell out. Their test scores weren't all accurate and the amount of students able to go fell so they were forced to give up the opportunity. As a result, Friday we will be taking the students with the top testing score to Stark Tower. The school has emailed and sent out a permission slip to the students who will be going. Please check your mailbox  when you get home so you don't miss this exiting opportunity. Turn in your slip tomorrow or Thursday. Have a good day everyone. Dismissed."

The class flooded out of the class, chatting about their possibility of going on the trip. Peter couldn't decided whether or not he wanted to go. He figured that most of the decathlon team would go, but that meant that Flash would be there as well.

When he got into the car, he started checking his email. Sure enough, there was the email Mr. Henderson mentioned.

"Hey, Happy. Did you go on a lot of field trips when you were younger? Well I think that my school is trying to kill me. There is this field trip Friday and, after the fiasco at Oscorp, I don't think field trips are really my thing."

He continued talking, Happy listening while focusing on the road. This kid was like Tony propped up on ten Red Bulls.

Peter thanked Happy for the ride and hopped out of the car when they reached the tower. The secretary greeted him as he walked though the scanners and into the private elevator. He scanned the badge he always kept in his wallet and soon the elevator lifted up from the 1st floor and shot toward the personal labs.

"Tony!" Peter entered his mentors personal lab as the rock music quieted down, adapting to the new person.

"Sheesh, kid. I'm right here."

Peter looked around the lab and finally saw a pair of feet sticking out from under a large machine.

"What are you doing down there, Mr. Stark?"

I'm just fixing this touchy robot, he couldn't even pick up the simplest radio waves so I can't control him. Unfortunately, I installed an AI in this darned this. Clarance's sassy and has a bit of a mean streak so don't offend him. What were you yelling about anyway?" He slid out from under the machine while asking Peter the million dollar question.

"Do we have a printer?"

"You came into my lab like a bat outta hell, just to ask me if we have a printer?"

"Careful, I'm not sure that Mr. Rogers would like that kind of language. But yeah. Also, you named your robot Clarance?"

Tony rubbed his temple, groaning about teenagers. "You try naming a robot. But yeah, it's in the conference room upstairs, try not to break it. "

"Thanks, Mr. Stark!" Peter was out of the room so fast, Tony could practically see a fire trail. Shaking his head, he turned up the music once more and got back to work.

Meanwhile, Peter had successfully printed off the permission slip and was making his way to Peppers office, trying to hid from any Avengers out to get him.

He knocked softly of Pepper's office door and entered after her soft response.

She looked up and found that her favorite web slinger was creeping into the room, looking nervous.

"If you need something, you'd better make it quick. Whoever your hiding from probably knows you're hear by now. The last time you snuck into my office, I had to light twenty candles to get the stink out. What do you need, Peter?"

"I'm, for once, not in some sort of prank war, but I would never overlook the possibility. I'm hiding from the others because I was accepted by the school for a field trip Friday, here."

Peper smiled, understanding the situation immediately. "Ok, you either need a favor, or you need a signature because May is out of town."

"Your good," Peter walked up to Peper's desk and slid the sheet to her. "I actually need a signature and a new badge. Could you pardon a badge for Friday from 7am to 4pm? I just don't think it would be a good idea to walk around with a level 10 badge for a field trip."

"Of course, Peter. I'll run it though the system. Make sure to pick it up before you leave."

"Thanks, Pepper. I'll leave now, I gotta go find Clint and challenge him to Mario Kart. He trashed talked me this morning and I have to make him pay. See you for dinner."

Pepper waved to Peter as his mop of curly hair disappeared around the corner. That kid was going to be covered in glitter by dinner, she could already tell.

The week flew by and, before Peter knew it, he was on the bus heading back to the tower. Ned got back just in time to go on the trip and he was freaking out. Peter was mumbling half heartedly to Ned. He didn't want to be mean, but his brain was starting to go through all the bad possibilities that could occur.

"Hey, Ned?" Ned stopped talking as they pulled up to the tower. "Could you please kill me if we see any of the avengers?"

"What you dont want your secret revealed?"  The annoying voice of Flash caused both Peter and Ned to roll their eyes. "We all know you don't have an internship. You're not cool enough beside, they don't take high school interns."

"People can make an exception. Besides, mind your own business." Ned stood up for Peter as everyone left the bus and gathered in front of the massive building. When everyone had gotten off the bus, the class filed into the even more impressive building.

"Hello. Are you Midtown?" A friendly looking tour guide approached the group with a basket and clipboard.

"Yes. This is the group that scored high on the test and was awarded a trip here."

"Nice." The tour guide turned her attention to the group as a whole. "High, everyone. My name is Emily and I will be giving you the tour today. First of all, I would like to go over the rules of the building and then I will pass out the badges you will use today." Emily explained the rules and started passing out the badges before pausing. "It says 'Peter Parker will not need a badge provided that he listed to Pepper and wasn't a smarta** too Happy'?"

Peter timidly raised his hand as the whole group looked at him with an open mouth. "Yeah. Thats me and my badge is right here." He reached into his pocket and produced the badge. He pinned it to his jacket and shuffled nervously, waiting for the tour to resume.

"Wow. I have to admit, a message from the high office specifically for you. You've gotta be important." Emily smiled and continued the tour and led the group to the scanners. "Now I need everyone to walk through before me and wait for both me and Mr. Parker. Friday gets annoyed if we vary the data. She says it's faster."

All the kid with guest passes walked through. "All 23 guest passes cleared."

Friday's voice rang out and caused a few kids to jump. Ned was calmly waiting for Peter, he was used to Friday and had heard all about about the AI from Peter.

Peter walked through next after Emily prompt him with a glance.

"Peter Parker, level 8."

Peter was ready to face palm. He should have specified the level that he wanted with Pepper. Level 8 was better than a level 10 pass, but not by much. This badge  still gave him access to the Avengers area. Way more than a teenager would have.

Emily met with the group and immediately hands flew into the air.

"What do the badge levels mean?"

Cathy from Peter's Biology classes asked the dreaded question and unfortunately Emily jumped to answer.

"The badges just show where the person is able to go. A guest badge has access anywhere, provided that it's not off limits and they have a high ranking member with them. Level 1 would be janitors and basic workers. Level 2 would be the secretaries and phone assistants. People who would work more of the temp jobs you'd see in other businesses. Level 3 are the workers who don't use any dangerous equipment and work on the lower labs. Level 4 is the workers on the middle labs who are in charge of more technology. Level 5 is the workers on the upper levels who use the dangerous machines and chemicals. More security is needed for these areas. Level 6 is the heads of projects who are needed in the upper level conference room. Level 7 is reserved for large stockholders and the business representatives. Level 8 is for the top secret workers who sometimes work on top secret and potentially dangerous products. If you want to work with the avengers, this is the place to be. Level 9 is the lower ranked government officials and the avengers who don't spend a lot time in the building. Level 10 is the most exclusive level with people who live in the tower or have special clearance from either Mrs. Potts or Mr. Stark. I wouldn't recommend talking to anyone over level 4 because they are usually caught up in their work or on specific deadlines."

Peter could feel the stares from people. Yeah, level 8 was an awful idea.

The tour continued on into the lower labs and the upper labs before slowly circling up the conference rooms. Peter saw a few people he knew, but the majority of the time he was in the private labs and didn't see the lower workers.

The class had just entered the lower levels when a notification was announced.

"Would the following worker please report to the upper facilites. Peter Parker, I know you can hear me, Clarence is on the loose and I need your particular set of skill up here!" Fridays voice changed to Tony's halfway through the announcement and Peter facepalmed.

Tony's voice was panicked and Peter had to bite his tongue. The amount of times that Peter and Pepper had told him to stop giving robots artificial intelligence after the whole Ultron fiasco was hilarious. Now the same thing was happening and Peter was getting a little panicked.

He spared a look at Emily before taking off down the hall. The private elevator didn't extend to this floor, so he had to wait at the public elevator. He could hear shouting behind him and the pounding of feet.

He jumped into the elevator and scanned his badge, not half a second later the rest of his class crowded into the elevator. Mr. Henderson turned to yell at Peter, probably trying to tell him that he had detention and to reprimand him.

Peter, not ready to explain everything and wait for his class turned sharply. "Look, you need to get to a lower level now. You can't be here. Right now I'm doing my job and you being here is risking the safely of everyone here. So please, if you know what's good for you, take your students and get them out."

"You're my student, Mr. Parker. You need to listen to me. Your safely is my responsibility." Mr. Henderson might not have been Peter's favorite teacher, but he did care about the safety of all his students.

"I can't, Mr. Henderson. With all due respect, you need to trust me. I have to most experience here and the highest clearance. You need to listen to me and leave."

The teacher thought about this, and he was on the edge of agreeing when he elevator stopped. A red light was flashing and Peter audibly groaned.

Emily was trying to call someone with her cell phone, but she was getting no response. Flash was fighting with some the other decathlon team members, this situation must have been too familiar.

Peter thought through his options and realized there was no time to stand there talking. He walked forward and jammed his fingers into the elevator doors. With one push, he shoved both doors fully open revealing the open shaft at the very top of the doors.

"Ok, everyone. I will climb out and insure that the elevator remains froze. After I'm out, I need everyone to calmly climb out of the shaft one by one." Peter moved forward and slowly pulled himself into the hallway. The elevator shook as the result of the weight shift and biting his lip, Peter activated his web shooter. He used the webs to secure the elevator and prevent the shifting in the shaft. "Ok. Emily, please make your way forward and start helping everyone out of the elevator."

After making sure the elevator was locked, Peter made his way down the hall toward the labs. Thankfully the elevator broke down on the floor Peter needed to be on. The red lights started flashing on this level, just like in the elevator. This floor was going into lockdown.

Peter reached the labs and scanned his badge to enter the destroyed room. When the light flashed red, Peter realized that the badge he was using was still the level 8 badge. Grabbing his level 10 badge from his bag, Peter scanned the badge and entered the room.

Tony was yelling at the robot while trying to summon his armor, stuck in one of Peter's webs halfway up the wall.  Clarance was still puttering around the lab breaking things.

"Tony what did you do?"

Tony turned from the armor to the boy by the door. "Okay, you remember how I told you not to offend the robot yesterday?"

Peter felt his head drop, "Tell me you didn't do the exact thing you warned me about. Really, Mr. Stark?"

"I'd love to tell you I didn't, but I can't. I mentioned DUM-E and he got mad. I think he's jealous and wants to destroy all my other robots and technology." Peter glanced at Clarance who was destroying everything and back at Tony who was trapped in a web. "And he used one of my webs against you?"

"Just get me down, underoos. I can unwire his sensory system, but I need to use my hands."

"On it!" Peter jumped onto the wall and started scaling it. When he got to Tony, he adjusted his web shooters to a light acid that could dissolve the webs and started applying it.

"What do you think of the dissolver? It took me two weeks to find the right solution. Last time I had to leave a criminal stuck to his car because I couldn't dissolve it." Peter chatted while he talked and Tony almost wanted to laugh. This kid was positive even in the worst situations.

"Thanks, Peter." Immediately after Tony was freed, Peter swung to confront the robot, trying to give Tony time to sneak up on him.

"Hey mister Clarance. Can I talk with you for a minute?" Clarance stopped destroying machines and instead turned to Peter.

Tony was sneaking up on the crazy robot while Peter continued to talk to it. Finding the mainframe, Tony sent a single repulsor blast into the wiring. The robot froze for one second before powering down.

"Yeah. Whoop. That's how it's, right Mr. Stark?" Peter jumped around, happy with how the situation played out.

"Nice job, Peter. Maybe I should start listening to you and Pepper when you tell me to stop creating robots with their own ideas a feelings without a moral code."

"You think?" Peter jumped on Tonys back. Goofing around with his father figure until a knocking on the glass startled then both. Looking up, the two were met with Peters entire class staring at them with opened mouths.

"Well, kid. It might not have been as public as my reveal, but you get an A for showmanship."

Peter was still on his back, completely paralyzed. "Oh, shit."

Outside the window, Flash seemed to be having a nervous breakdown with Mr. Henderson while Ned just laughed. Peter hadn't imagined the field trip going this sideways. School was going to be a nightmare Momday.

"Hey, Mr. Stark. How fast can you organize a press conference?"
