It was agonizing. The war in Wakanda was one I'll never forget. My un-biological, finally brought together again, but under the threat of death. My father was in space fighting God knows what with my boyfriend, Peter Parker.
We fought as hard as we could but he still won, Thanos won. And he snapped.
Everyone gathered in what was left of the city center and counted the losses. I found a phone and called Pepper.
"Oh my Gosh! (Your Name)! You're okay! I was so worried, you are going to be in so much trouble, first your dad, then you. I'm never going to get a break, am I?" She cried.
I laughed quietly, "You stuck with us. But, uh, have you heard from dad? He called me and told me he was going to space and then hung up."
"You haven't heard from him too? Oh God..." She paused for a while before asking, "When will you be able to get back?"

Not knowing if the two most important people are okay is extremely excruciating. Waiting in Avengers Tower and being with what was left of the team was my only hope. Pepper and I quickly moved into the tower because seeing everyone still alive gave us hope. Heck, the raccoon survived. If we could survive, so could my stubborn ass of a father and boyfriend.
Catching up with everyone was a task, a very hard one at that. So, I gladly took the opportunity to talk with Nat and Bruce. Bruce went on and on about what happened while he was gone whilst we listened, hanging onto the familiar voice as to never lose it again.
Suddenly, there was a loud rumbling from outside, interrupting Bruce when he was getting to the good part. Everyone ran outside to see a spacecraft being carried down to earth by a glowing woman.
Touching the ground, the hatch opened. Out came my father, being supported by a blue woman. He was clearly in pain when he spoke to Steve when he went to help him.
"I- I couldn't stop him." He panted.
Steve sighed, "Neither could we."
"No, no- I lost the kid." My father cried softly.
"Tony, we lost." Steve tried to console him.
"Is, uh? Is- oh good." He said when Pepper ran up to him.
"Oh, my God!" Pepper cried over and over as she hugged him.
Stuck in my spot I thought over his words; I lost the kid. I lost the kid. I lost the kid.
"Oh God." I whispered as I started crying. At first, like it hadn't fully set in, the tears were few and silent but as my dad looked at me, the look on his face was enough for the waterfall to start.
Using Pepper for balance he came and hugged me, rubbing my back as I cried into his chest. "It's okay." He whispered, kissing me on the cheek.

"It's been 23 days since Thanos came to earth." James Rhodes stated as we all stood around the room. Pictures of everyone who was dusted flashed on the screens. Everyone stared as their loved ones faces came and went within a few seconds.
"World governments are.. in pieces." Natasha continued. "The parts that are still working are trying to take a census and it looks like he did... He did exactly what he said he was gonna do. Thanos wipes out... 50% of all living creatures."
"Where is he now? Where?" Dad asked.
"We don't know." Steve sighed, "He just opened a portal and walked through."
My dad, clearly upset, rolled his wheelchair to face Thor. "What's wrong with him?"
Rocket answered, "Oh, he's pissed. He thinks he failed. Which of course he did but there's a lot of that going around, ain't there?"
"Honestly, until this exact second I thought you were one of (Your Name)'s Build-A-Bears." Dad spoke up in his usual manner.
"Maybe I am." Rocket replied.
"We've been hunting Thanos for three weeks now. Deep space scans and satellites and we got nothing. Dad, you fought him." I started.
"Who told you that?" He interrupted. "I didn't fight him. No, he wiped my face with a planet while the Bleeker Street magician gave away the store. That's what happened. There's no fight-"
"Okay." Steve tried to interrupt.
"'cause he's unbeatable." Dad finished.
"Did he give you any clue, any coordinations, anything?" Steve asked.
"Uh," dad spluttered. Everyone who knew my father rolled their eyes, they knew where this was going. "I saw this coming a few years back. I had a vision. I didn't want to believe it, thought I was dreaming."
"Tony, I'm going to need you to focus." Steve started.
"And I needed you. As in, past tense. That trumps what you need. It's too late, buddy. Sorry. You know what I need? I need a shave." He said, pushing the bowl of food, spilling it all over the table. And I believe I remember telling all youse-"
"Tony, Tony!" Rhodey tried to stop him from pulling out the IV. He didn't do a very good job.
"-alive and otherwise, that what we needed was a suit of armor around the world. Remember that? Whether it impacted our precious freedom or not. That's what we needed." He put emphasis on the needed.
"Well, that didn't work out, did it?" Steve asked.
"I said we'd lose." Tony pointed out. "You said, 'We'll do that together, too.' And guess what, Cap? We lost. And you weren't there." At this point, his voice started shaking. "But that's what we do, right? Our best work after the fact?"
Poor Rhodey tried to make dad sit down.
"We're the 'Avengers'. We're the 'Avengers,' not the 'Pre-vengers.' Not the 'Pre-vengers,' right?" He asked Rhodey.
"You made your point. Just sit down, okay?" He pleaded.
"Okay. No, no." Dad fought again. "Here's my point. You know what? She's great by the way." Tony pointed towards Carol, the glowing lady.
"Tony, you're sick. Sit down." Rhodey tried again.
"We need you. You're new blood." He continued anyways, breaking free of Rhodey's grasp. "Bunch of tired old mules. I got nothing for you, Cap. I got no coordinates, no clues, no strategies, no options. Zero. Zip. Nada. No trust, liar."
He took a shuddering breath before taking off the reactor on his chest. "Here, take this. You find him, you put that on, you hide." He then collapsed on his knees.
"Dad!" I yelled.
"Tony!" Steve tried to catch him.
"I'm fine. Let me..." He got out before fainting.

Sitting at his bedside, I heard Rhodey talking with the others. "Bruce gave him a sedative, he's probably be out for the rest of the day."
"You guys take care of him and I'll bring him a Xorrian elixir when I come back." Carol said before walking off.
"Where are you going?" Steve asked.
"To kill Thanos." She stated.
"Hey." I called out, leaving the room to talk. "You know, we usually work as a team here and, uh, between you and I, morale's a little fragile."
"We realize up there is more your territory, but this is our fight, too." Steve said.
"You even know where he is?" Rhodes asked.
"I know people who might." She said.
"Don't bother," Nebula spoke up. "I can tell you where Thanos is."

Woooooo! Okay! I'm so excited for this. It's gonna be a mini series over Endgame! I'm a little late to the party but that's okay. Hope you enjoyed! Also, Parker isn't gonna be in here until the last few chapters lol.
