Fifth Witness: Harold "Happy" Hogan

Happy went to the witness stand, and the bailiff said, "Raise your right hand." Happy rose his right hand and the bailiff asked, "do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" Happy nodded and said, "I do." He then sat on the witness stand. Collin walked up to him and asked, "now Mr. Hogan, how long have you been working for Mr. Stark and his family?" Happy thought for a moment then said, "Tony hired me to be his bodyguard back in 1996. Beforehand, I used to be a boxer." Collin looked at Happy and asked, "so you knew Stark before he became Iron Man?" Happy nodded and said, "I did indeed."

"And how did you meet Mr. Parker?" Collin asked. "Well at the time, I was demoted to a chauffeur," explained Happy, "Tony was looking for a super-powered vigilante to help us stop Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes at the time we assumed they were criminals of the law. We did not know at the time we were being tricked by Baron Zemo. So we went to Queens, found Peter, and Tony recruited him. I was assigned to keep an eye on Parker." Collin then asked, "and what was your first impression of the young Parker?"

"He was a teenager," chuckled Happy, "of course there'd be some pet peeves. But once Tony and I found out he risked his life to stop The Vulture from raiding all our tech, I knew there was good in him. And I can understand why Tony had such faith in him. So yeah, Peter's a good kid in my book. Kinda why I wanted to help him when Tony died. I knew he needed someone to guide him, and I wanted to be there for him." Collin looked at Happy and asked, "is it true you brought Peter to London to stop Beck?" Happy nodded and said, "I did. I knew there was no time to waste in saving Peter's friends." Collin looked at his notes and asked, "Miss Jones claims you have the supposed tech that brought these Elementals to life. Is it true this technology is in your possession?"

"Yes, it is true," confirmed Happy. "Do you have it with you, Mr. Hogan?" Collin asked jokingly. "Actually yeah," said Happy. "Well then show it to us." Collin smugly ordered. Happy then took out the Drone showing it to everyone. "So this advanced drone can show some sort of hologram of one of them monsters?" Collin asked, laughing in a mean-spirited manner. "Do you want me to demonstrate how it works, Mr. Cochran?" Happy asked. "By all means, Mr. Hogan!" Collin laughed. "Okay, but I just want to apologize in advance to everyone," warned Happy, and he pressed the button to show the Hologram of the fire Elemental monster. The Hologram was so realistic, it caused nearly everyone to scream in terror.

"JESUS! JOSEPH! MARY!" Collin screamed in terror. Due to his blindness, Matt obliviously asked, "Jen can you describe what this monster looks like?" Jen took one look at the monster, and whispered to Matt, "picture a large monster made out of fire and lava. That's basically it." Matt nodded, unimpressed. Judge Batzer banged her gavel and shouted, "ORDER IN THE COURT! ORDER IN THE COURT!" As soon as everyone calmed down, Judge Batzer glared at Happy and said, "Mr. Hogan, turn off that hologram this instant! And as for you Mr. Cochran, one more outburst like that, and I will hold you in contempt of court! I do not tolerate blasphemies or anyone that takes the lord's name in vain in my court!" Happy and Collin gave mortified looks and said to the judge in unison, "sorry your honor." Happy then turned off the hologram. "Golly, that hologram sure was realistic," said Collin. "Yeah, that was Beck's idea," said Happy.  Collin looked at Jennifer and said, "your witness, Miss Walters." Jennifer walked to the witness stand and asked, "Mr. Hogan, out of curiosity, do you know anything about Mister Quentin Beck?"

"I do actually," said Happy, "when I first heard the name Quentin Beck, the name sounded a little familiar. So I did a little research. It turns out Quentin Beck was not from some alternate Dimension known as Earth 833, and actually did work for my boss Tony Stark. He was the one that created the technology you see before you. Beck thought this would be revolutionary, and while Tony did use it for a while, he ended up scrapping it. As for Mr. Beck himself, he showed that he was mentally unstable and showed narcissistic tendencies that would make Mr. Stark look humble. So we let him go." Jen nodded and said, "would you say that Mr. Beck was a disgruntled ex-employee that wanted revenge, and decided to play the hero? All while purposely creating his own disasters?" Happy looked at the drone and said, "with all that tech at his disposal, I believe so. And poor Peter got dragged into it."

"Do you believe Peter is innocent?" Jen asked. "He never killed Mysterio," said Happy, "Peter was defending himself and trying to stop Beck from destroying London. I do believe he is innocent Miss Walters." Jen gave a respectful nod and said, "no further questions your honor." Peter smiled, knowing that Happy had his back. As Happy left the witness stand, Collin then said, "the state calls as their last witness, Peter Parker!"
