Demons
For six months, Barbara lay in a coma, and the Symbiote infected Spider-Man fought crime. Like I said before, the Venom Symbiote fed on Peter's grief. And it made Peter more aggressive and violent. Almost like Batman, but more brutal. Peter had also noticed that this Symbiote was slowly eating his life force, even using his energy to fight crime at night in his sleep, exhausting him. Eventually, Peter realized this Symbiote was extremely dangerous, and he knew he had to get rid of this monstrosity, because his life depended on it, figuratively and literally. With the help of his friends, Peter was able to get rid of the Symbiote for good. But Venom ran away to find a new host, but that was a story for another time.
Coincidentally, Barbara woke up from her 6 month coma, and was released from the hospital. She found it hard to cope with the fact that she could no longer walk again, and the fact that she could no longer be Batgirl, the one thing she loved doing, now gone, forever. A week later, her old flame, Dick Grayson came back, and they had sex. The next morning, it turned out...
Barbara was hurt and infuriated that Dick would do something so cruel to her, especially since she was now at her lowest point right now. She refused to ever talk to him ever again. As this all happened, the reformed Peter decided to make up for lost time on not writing to his old friend. It had been seven months since he last got a letter from her, and a long time since he wrote back to her. He got out a piece of paper and a pencil, and started writing...
Dear Barbara,
Sorry for not writing to you for a long time. I guess you could say the grief I was going through consumed me, and I guess it was a dark seven months for me. This grief I felt towards Gwen's death changed me into a different person... I hope you can forgive me for not writing to you. How have you been? I hope I didn't scare you with my lack of letters. I quit my job as a reporter for the Daily Bugle, and was offered a better job at Stark Industries. I get to work for Tony Stark, how awesome is that? I heard that Bruce Wayne is a lot like Mr. Stark. I'd certainly like to meet him. Aunt May's doing well also. I hope that you and your father are doing well also. And once again, sorry for not writing sooner. I'll try and make up for lost time soon.
Your Friend, Peter Parker.
