Message Written in Blood
Batman and Spider-Man were driving in the Batmobile while using the Symbiote tracker to look for the Carnage Symbiote. Oracle then said on the car's radio, "Batman, Spider-Man; I just received a notification that my father and the police are investigating a brutal murder in Crime Alley." Spider-Man looked at Batman and asked, "You think it might be Carnage?"
"Let's not jump to conclusions," said Batman, "but we could check to see if your assumption is correct, Spider-Man. We'll head to Crime Alley, Oracle. Over and out." Batman then drove the Batmobile all the way to Crime Alley. Police were putting yellow tape all over the crime scene. Batman and Spider-Man got out of the Batmobile to observe. The crime scene was grizzly. The Symbiote tracker made various noises to indicate that a Symbiote was indeed here. "Jim, who was the victim?" Batman asked as he saw the sight before him. "Well the first victim's name was Elijah Kramer," explained Commissioner Gordon, "he was stabbed to death by Victor Zsasz. And the victim who died after Kramer is Zsasz. Or whatever's left of him. Someone attacked him. Or something. Some sort of animal." Spider-Man looked at the mauled Zsasz, his face and the half-part of his skull missing, as if someone ate it. He also noticed his mangled body and horribly broken arm revealing the bone. It was hard for Spider-Man to not puke. "All due respect Commissioner," he said, "that's no animal. It's Carnage. And it looks like he sent a message."
Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Spider-Man, and the police looked at the bloody corpse of what was left of Victor Zsasz, and saw an ominous message written in his blood all over the wall. The message said, and I quote, "I'M COMING FOR YOU, JOKER!!!!" Everyone couldn't help but get a shiver down their spine looking at the ominus message written in blood. Various policemen took pictures of the threat, and Batman's lenses took a picture of it too. "Any sign of Joker so far?" Batman asked. Jim rubbed his eyebrows and said, "none whatsoever... Why this Carnage fellow would have a vendetta against Joker, I don't know..." Spider-Man whispered to Batman, "I was never one to believe in ghost stories, but do you think Jason Todd might have come back from the dead and become the new host for Carnage?" Batman gave a worried look and whispered, "that's what scares me. I don't know." Jim's phone then rang and he said, "Gordon here. Another murder? Magpie? You think it's another animal attack? Tell me the location and I'll be there soon." Jim then hung up and said, "Magpie's been murdered. My men are assuming it's another animal attack." Spider-Man then said, "that could be whoever's bonded onto Carnage!" Jim nodded and said, "you could be right, Spider-Man."
"We'll get to the bottom of this, Jim." Batman promised. "Good," said Commissioner Gordon, "oh and Spider-Man, if you see Peter Parker, can you tell him and his Aunt May that my daughter and I said hello?" Spider-Man nodded and said, "Sure thing, Commissioner. I want to let you know I respect you." Jim smiled and said, "I appreciate that. You're alright in my book. Don't let Jameson and Bullock tell you differently. You actually do things by the book." As Batman and Spider-Man left, the Dark Knight asked, "how are you acquainted with Jim and Barbara?" Spider-Man chuckled and said, "he was my uncle's college roommate."
