As Peter and Barbara came back to Batman and Alfred, the detective and the butler were studying the origin of the Symbiote race. They were studying its many strengths and weaknesses, and how it bonded with its hosts. "Tell me more about the Symbiote, Peter." said Batman as he studied its anatomy. "Well there's one Symbiote in particular that's the most dangerous," explained Peter, "it's the Venom Symbiote. It first bonded with Wade Wilson, otherwise known as Deadpool. The Symbiote was driven insane after bonding with Deadpool, to the point where it became aggressive and violent. After that little encounter, it bonded with me. This was a month after my girlfriend Gwen Stacy died..." Barbara looked at the date and said, "oh my gosh, that's the same day Joker shot me!"

"Huh, I didn't know that," said a surprised Peter. "Guess it was just a bad coincidence," said Batman as Alfred gave a look of sympathy to the young superheroes. "Anyway, The Venom Symbiote found me at a dark time in my life," continued Peter, "it fed on my sadness, anger, and grief, all my negative emotions. It enhanced my powers, but it was also slowly draining me of my life force, and corrupting my soul. For six months, I became a different person. The Venom Symbiote made me fight brutally and made me do things that I'm not proud of. If it weren't for the intervention of Reed Richards and Steve Rogers, Venom probably would have killed me a long time ago. But after getting rid of that parasite, a new enemy arose, something far more worse, deadlier, and more dangerous. The Venom Symbiote bonded with a former disgruntled Daily Bugle employee who had a grudge with me. His name was Eddie Brock. They became Venom. He had all my powers, and was one of the most deadliest enemies I ever faced. But the one thing that was as equally dangerous as Venom, was its offspring Carnage. This Symbiote bonded with Eddie's cellmate, serial killer Cletus Kasady. Carnage has the exact same powers as me and Venom. Except his powers are far more advanced. It took way more effort for me to separate Carnage from Kasady. Both Symbiotes are in custody of SHIELD Labs. Up until now..."

"Peter, before you continue, I have a question," said Barbara. "What's the question?" Peter asked as he looked at her. "Now Symbiotes can heal people and give them enhanced abilities, I understand that;" began Barbara, "could the Symbiote cure paralysis?" She looked down at her useless legs, still desiring to walk again. She'd give anything for that feeling again. "Yes, it could," said Peter, "but bonding with a Symbiote is dangerous. It'll easily gain dominance and corrupt you, and then double cross you before it kills you. It's not a risk worth taking Barbara. If you want, I can talk to Reed Richards, and when this is all over we could find a way to cure your paralysis." Barbara brightened up and asked, "do you mean it?" Peter nodded and said, "I promise." Peter then played the footage of The Batman Who Laughs causing a massacre at SHIELD Labs and stealing the Carnage Symbiote before disappearing into Dark Matter. Barbara gasped and said, "oh my gosh, that's the same Dark Matter I found in the soil of Jason's stolen grave!" Batman's eyes narrowed as he asked, "why would my evil counterpart steal the Carnage Symbiote? Is it after Kasady?" Peter shook his head and said, "that's impossible. Cletus Kasady is dead. He was executed through the electric chair less than a week ago. My question is, why would your evil doppelganger steal the corpse of your late ward Jason Todd?" Alfred rubbed his chin and said, "I don't know Mr. Parker... but it's as I once said, some men just want to watch the world burn..."

Meanwhile in Crime Alley, serial killer Victor Zsasz had just stabbed another victim to death, and he was cutting himself to mark up the tallies of the many people he had killed. This particular tally was his fifth talley on the lower part of his left cheek. Bloodlust appeared and growled, "hello Zsasz..." The killer jumped up and looked at the monster and asked, "who the fuck are you?!?!?!" Bloodlust chuckled, "I am the end of you... I've come for you, Zsasz!" Mr. Zsasz tried to stab Bloodlust with his left hand, but the creature grabbed his hand and broke Victor's arm so badly, it snapped like a twig with an unpleasant bone snapping sound, revealing the broken bone popping out of Victor's skin. This caused Zsasz to scream in pain. "How does it feel... to have the one thing that gives you pleasure be used against you, Zsasz?" Bloodlust taunted, "you... You're going to send everyone in Gotham a message... Including that fucking clown, Joker... Don't worry, it'll all be over soon..." People that were walking at Crime Alley that night didn't see much, but what they did hear were the sounds of blood curdling screams, roars, the sounds of flesh and bones being eaten, and then... Nothing.
