This is the big climactic last chapter, so it's going to be a little long.

You awoke from your easy rest in Cat's bed, and noticed firstly that she wasn't in it.

You hastily put on a pair of pajama pants, and went into the living room, where Cat was watching a news report with the utmost attention.

You: Anything special?

Cat: No, just terrifying. Look.

You watched the news report with Cat.

Reporter: The entire area around Oscorp tower has turned into a war zone over night, as witnesses flood in with reports of vicious, lizard like creatures on the loose.

You: No way...

Reporter: These creatures seem to have been the result of secret testing in Osborn labs, and insiders in Oscorp claim that the creatures escaped overnight.

You: I gotta make a phone call, keep watching.

You dialed in Vulture's number quickly.

After a moment of ringing, Vulture answered.

Vulture: I trust you've seen the news.

You: Yeah, those things are loose.

Vulture: I suppose we can let fate sort Osborn out.

You: We could, but I have a better idea.

Vulture: go on.

You: We take the research for those monsters from Oscorp's lab in the tower, stop them, and sell the research to the highest bidder.

Vulture: I see. We get paid, look like heroes to the public, and stuck it to Osborn.

You: Exactly, meet me at the point in sending you with the rest of the team, and call Deacon Sinner, We could use the help of our fans.

You hung up the phone, and got dressed.

Cat approached you as you put on your jacket.

Cat: You're...actually going out there...why?

You: To get paid.

Cat: Don't lie to me, that's not why your going out there to fight those monsters.

You approached Cat.

You: I've been a scumbag all my life. If I can do one thing right...I want it to be saving people.

Cat went silent for a moment, then kissed you softly on the cheek.

Cat: You're not going without me.

You: I didn't expect too.

Some time later.
You and Cat met with your team and Deacon Sinner, who had men ready to lay siege to Oscorp tower.

Electro: So, what's the plan?

You: Well...I don't have one.

Cat: Seriously? But you always have a plan.

You: It'd be a whole different story if it was just Osborn, but there is a army of lizard monsters surrounding the place, plus innocent people we need to help.

Scorpion: Since when do we start caring about civilians.

You: Since we started this group.

Sandman: Malcolm is right, we need to help anyone we find.

Rhino: Agreed! We save people from monsters!

Deacon: If it is what you wish, then the Sinners will aid any they find.

You: Alright, with that out of the way, our main objective is to get to the labs about three quarters of the way up Oscorp tower. We will need an access code from Osborn's office.

Cat: I'll deal with that.

You: A few of us will need to stay with Deacon and the Sinners to hold off the lizard monsters.

Rhino: I and Scorpion shall hold the ground!

Scorpion: Sure.

You: Okay. Any questions?

The group went silent for a moment, then Electro spoke up.

Electro: Can we listen to music as we do this?

You: What?

Electro: Well, since it's such a special occasion, I thought I'd bring along Deacon's sound rig to make things interesting.

You: Well...I guess so.

Electro: Awesome! Deacon!

Deacon nodded, and leaned over the rooftop to his men in the streets.

Deacon: RING THE BELLS OF WAR!!!

The Sinners turned on the audio rig, which was on the back of a flatbed truck.

The audio rig began to play music.

You: Twisted Sister?

Electro: Hell yeah!

Electro jumped onto the ledge of the rooftop.

Electro: LET'S ROCK!!!

You and the group charged at Oscorp tower, and battled the lizard monsters.

You charged ahead with Rhino.

Rhino: I will destroy scaly beasts! Come at me!

Rhino turned to the side to face the lizard monsters, leaving you to advance forward alone.

Scorpion held off another horde of lizard monster with Deacon.

Deacon: We shall conquer all who stand in our way!

Scorpion: You gotta be so poetic about stuff?

You rushed into the lobby of the tower, with Cat and Electro in tow.

You: Get to the elevator!

You all ran towards the elevator, but were stopped by a group of lizard monster that dropped down from the skylight.

As you prepared to fight the creatures, Vulture and Mysterio attacked them, and pushed them away from you.

Vulture: Go! We'll hold them off!

Mysterio: Make haste! We must find a way to defeat these creatures!

You, Cat, and Electro ran to the elevator, and took it to the labs.

You all took a moment to catch your breath.

You: Anyone see Sandman?

Sandman suddenly formed from a pile of sand under the doors of the elevator.

Sandman: Thanks for waiting on me.

You: Oh...sorry.

Cat spoke up.

Cat: If you all are done, I'm going to get the authorization code from Osborn's office.

You: Be careful.

Cat: Same to you.

Cat opened the maintenance hatch of the elevator, and jumped out.

Meanwhile
Osborn watched in disbelief from his office at the destruction he caused.

Osborn: It...wasn't supposed to be like this...it's all my fault...

A security officer ran into Osborn's office.

Officer: Mr. Osborn, we need to go!

Osborn took an injector from his desk filled with a green liquid.

Osborn: Just leave me.

Officer: But sir...

Osborn: Just leave me! I...I did this...and I'll make it right...

The officer reluctantly left as Osborn looked at the injector.

Osborn: I'll fix this...

Osborn injected himself with the serum, and shortly afterwards, began to yell in pain.

After a moment, Osborn's screams turned to sinister cackling.

Osborn: Great idea Norman, let's fix this...

Osborn presses a button under his desk, then a secret door opened at the left hand side of his office.

Back with your group.
You and the others had just arrived at the wrecked labs.

You: Yeah, this is definitely the evil science department.

Sandman: You'd think they would be researching something worth while. But nope, just lizard soldiers.

Electro: And it turned out great.

You: Focus guys, we need to find the terminal with the research on it.

Sandman: Im going to go out on a limb here and say it's the one hidden behind that plexiglass.

Sandman pointed, and there was indeed a terminal guarded by plexiglass.

You: Oh...I didn't even see that.

Sandman stepped forward.

Sandman: I go this.

Sandman turned to sand, and slid under the plexiglass, and once inside the room, reformed.

Sandman: Does Cat have the code?

You: I'm calling her now.

You dialed Cat's number in your phone.

After a moment of ringing, Cat answered.

Cat: Before you ask, I'm at Osborn's computer right now.

You: Awesome. Is everything okay on your end?

Cat: So far, someone trashed Osborn's office though, and there's a secret room that's been cleaned out.

Cat went silent for a moment.

Cat: I got it. The code is AF15

You shouted at Sandman

Sandman: AF15!

Sandman typed in the code, and the research came on the terminal.

Sandman: I got it!

You: Great! Upload it to this IP address!
You held your phone up to the plexiglass so Sandman could see the IP address, and he typed it in.

After a moment, the research was on your phone.

You: We got it!

Electro: We're gonna be rich!

Cat interrupted.

Cat: Hey! There's something on Osborn's computer about a fail safe. It says that each of the lizard monsters were implanted with an explosive chip that could be activated via a radio tower on the side of the tower. Problem is that the tower is damaged and only a huge surge of electricity will get the signal through.

You and Sandman looked at Electro.

Electro: I'm good at electrocuting stuff.

Just then, a group of lizard monsters entered the room Sandman was in via the vents.

You: We'll get in there to help you!

Sandman: Forget it! I can take them! Go to the radio tower!

Sandman attacked the lizard monsters as you and Electro hesitantly left him.

You and Electro entered the elevator and took it to the radio tower.

You called Cat again, and after a moment, you heard the phone pick up.

You: Cat, we're at the radio tower. We'll overcharge it and-

You were interrupted by a sinister voice on the other end of the phone.

Voice: Sorry, but Miss Cat is unavailable at the moment.

You recognized the voice as Osborn.

You: Osborn...where is Cat!?

Osborn: Sage and sound on the helipad at the top of the tower. You should come see her...if you want her alive. HAHAHAHA!!!

Osborn hung up.

You looked at Electro.

You: Osborn has Cat! I gotta go save her!

Electro: Go, I got this!

You took the elevator to the helipad.

When the elevator arrived at the helipad, you saw Cat tied to a signal tower.

You: Cat! I'll get you down!

Cat: Look out! It's a trap!

You looked behind you, and were suddenly struck by a fist, knocking you to the ground.

You quickly regained yourself, and saw who hit you.

Norman Osborn, A.K.A Green Goblin

Goblin: You know, I'm actually starting to like you more than Spider-Man.

Goblin hovered around you on his glider.

You: Osborn? What happened to you?

Goblin: Osborn is gone! I...am the Green Goblin!

You: The Green Goblin? I thought he died in an explosion in the sewers!

Goblin: I just let Osborn take control after that little 'scuffle' with Spider-Man, he used my 'death' to focus on becoming mayor.

You: Unbelievable...I knew there was something about Osborn.

Goblin: Yeah, it's always the one's you least expect. Now enough talk, let's have some fun!

Goblin charged at you on his glider, but you managed to push him off with one of your arms, holding him in the air.

Goblin: You think I forgot about your little gadgets?

Goblin out a device on your arm, and it suddenly began to twitch and stir out of control.

You: What did you do!?

Goblin: It's an EMP charge Osborn designed just for those arms, comes in handy.

Your arms swung around uncontrollably, the weight of them throwing you chest down to the edge of the helipad.

You saw the battleground at the base of the tower as you tried to get up, but to no avail, as the arms weighed you down, they no longer connected to your body.

Goblin put his foot on your back, landing it on the base of your arms.

Goblin: Honestly Malcolm, Who were you before you had these arms? A two bit thief, a ordinary man in an extraordinary world. Your like Macbeth, wearing clothes that don't fit you...

Goblin pulled on the arms, causing you immense pain.

Goblin: You don't deserve this power!

With one, great pull, Goblin pulled the mechanical arms from your back, throwing them over the edge of the helipad.

Goblin: Now...you're just Malcolm.

You struggled to get up, the immense pain from your arms being removed preventing you from moving.

Cat: (Y/N)! Get up!

You hazily got to your feet, but tripped and fell back down.

Goblin: HAHAHA! Just give up!

Cat: Don't listen to him (Y/N)! You don't need those arms to be extraordinary! You're an amazing person on your own! NOW GET UP!!!

Hearing Cat's pleas, you tiredly got up.

Goblin: Well, I guess you can't keep a good crook down.

Goblin swung at you, but you dodged his strike and landed your own in his stomach.

With every punch Goblin threw, you dodged with ease, and delivered a strong counterattack.

Goblin: Impossible!

With one, strong punch, you knocked Goblin back, disorienting him.

Goblin: How? What are you?

You stood triumphantly in front of Goblin.

You: I'm a hero!

You then delivered a drop kick straight to Goblin's chest, knocking him back and knocking him unconscious.

You stood for a moment, catching your breath, and went to untie Cat.

You carried Cat down in your arms, her holding you tightly.

You: You okay?

Cat blushed when she saw your bloodied face, and kissed you deeply.

Cat pulled back.

Cat: My hero.

You carried Cat from the helipad, and escaped the tower.
