(The next day)

Y/N's P.O.V

I've just woken up and gotten ready to go to school.

I head downstairs and see mum looking at her phone.

Y/N: Morning, mum.

Lauren: Morning.

She doesn't look up from her phone.

Y/N: Hey, you okay?

She looks up at me.

Lauren: Oh, yeah. I'm okay. I just... your dad didn't come home last night. And he's not answering my calls or texts.

Y/N: Don't worry, mum. I'm sure dad's okay. It isn't the first time he's done this and he's always been okay before.

She smiles.

Lauren: Good point. I guess we shouldn't worry too much, at least not yet.

I nod.

After that mum grabs her bag and goes to the front door.

Lauren: I better go. Don't be late for school.

Y/N: Okay, mum. Bye.

Mum opens the door and we see two men in suits.

There badges are apart of the GDA.

Dad told me about them.

Agent: Mrs. Reilly, you and your son need to come with us. It's your husband.

Lauren: What?

(Two hours later)

(Washington D.C)

Mum and I are now at the GDA Headquarters in D.C.

Apparently dad was attacked last night while on a mission with Wolverine.

The agent's take us to dad in one of the rooms in the medical wing.

Lauren: Ben.

Y/N: Dad.

We rush over to his bedside.

Y/N: Oh, my god. What happened to him.

???: We don't know yet.

I look over to see a man walk in.

???: But whoever they are, they're gonna look alot worse than your dad there.

He puts his hand out to me.

???: I'm Cecil Steadman, Director of the GDA. You must be Y/N.

Y/N: Yeah. Nice to meet you.

We shake hands.

He looks to my mum.

Cecil: Hi, Lauren.

Lauren: Cecil.

Y/N: What happened to my dad?

Cecil: We don't know, kid. All we know is that he and Wolverine were attacked. They were both on death's door when we found 'em. Your dad is hanging in there, but Wolverine is still in and out.

Lauren: How's that possible? They both have accelerated healing.

Cecil: We're not sure. Whatever that attacker did, they caused problems with their healing factor.

Y/N: What about the other Avengers? Were they there?

Cecil: No. They're still on a mission.

Just then an Agent comes in.

Agent: Sir, there's an attack from some of Alistair Smythe's Spider Drones downtown.

The two walk away.

Cecil: Damn it. We don't have a Spider-Man to stop him.

I look over to dad.

Y/N: Yeah, we do.

Mum looks to me.

Lauren: Go. Just be careful.

Y/N: I will.

I sneak off to change into my suit.

(Fifteen minutes later)

I make it to downtown of D.C.

I web swing in and drop onto a rooftop ledge.

After that I look down to see the Spider Drones attacking.

Y/N: Okay, okay. Gotta get in there, save the civilians and take the drones down.

I drop down and swing into the area.

Y/N: Incoming!

I destroy two drones and land down.

Y/N: Hey, drones. Is this a private party?

Drone: Spider-Man, kill him.

I start taking down the Spider Drones, buying civilians time to escape.

As I fight them off I see a woman get cornered by drones.

Y/N: No!

I web zip over and smash the drones to save the woman.

I look down to see she's hurt and bleeding.

Y/N: Hold on, ma'am. I keep you safe.

I look back to see dead bodies on the floor.

There were people there, but I didn't save them.

Y/N: Oh, no.

Just then more Spider Drones surround us.

Before they could fire at us multiple arrows hit them and zap them.

I look over to see a young girl in purple wearing black sunglasses.

(A/N: Just imagine she's in this suit with black sunglasses.)

Y/N: Hawkness?

After that I see someone fly in wearing wearing armor.

Y/N: And Iron-Lad?

He stops and looks down at me.

Iron-Lad: You're the new Spider-Man, right?

Y/N: Yeah.

Iron-Lad: Well, we've got your back, man. We're here to help.

After that a hero in white armor comes in and slashes through the drones.

Y/N: White Tiger is here too?

White Tiger: Yeah, I am.

After that I see Hawkness come in and shoots down more drones.

Hawkness: Is she okay?

I look at the woman I'm holding up and see she's getting worse.

Y/N: No. She's bleeding out.

Hawkness: Okay. You get her out of here. We'll handle this.

Y/N: Right. Okay.

I lift the woman up into my arms and web swing away.

I gotta take her to the GDA.

(Ten minutes later)

I rush into the medical wing with the bleeding woman in my arms.

Y/N: Help! She needs help!

A few medics rush in with a gurney and take her away.

I then head back to my dad's room.

When I get there I see that he's still out cold.

I kneel down next to him and take off my mask.

Y/N: I tried to be like you, dad. I tried, but I failed. I couldn't protect those people.

I hear the door open and look up to see mum walk in.

Lauren: Y/N.

She rushes over and kneels down next to me.

Lauren: Baby, what happened?

Y/N: I tried, mum. I swear I did, but poeple died. I couldn't save them all. I tried...

I feel tears run down my face.

Mum then hugs me.

Lauren: Oh, baby boy. It's okay. I know.

I don't know how does this everyday.

It's not anything like I thought it'd be.
