Y/N's P.O.V

So, right now I'm in the bathroom on the toilet reading a comic book.

Just then there's a knock on my bathroom door.

Lauren: Y/N, I'm coming in.

Y/N: Mum, don't...

She opens the door and I quickly cover myself.

Y/N: Whoa, mum!

Lauren: Sorry, sweetheart. I'm out of soap. I need to borrow some.

Y/N: Mum, come on.

Lauren: Oh, don't be a baby. I used to change your dipers, kid. There's nothing going on down there I haven't seen before.

Y/N: Well, believe it or not things have changed alot down here since then.

Lauren: Yeah, okay.

She grabs the soap and leaves the bathroom.

I sigh.

Y/N: Man, I can't wait to go to college.

(Twenty minutes later)

I'm now ready to go to school and sitting on the couch.

Dad's on the news fighting M.O.D.O.K and A.I.M along with Captain America.

Mum comes downstairs and comes over.

Lauren: Y/N, is your dad here?

Y/N: No, he's on the news.

She looks at the TV.

Lauren: Oh, who's he fighting?

Y/N: M.O.D.O.K and A.I.M.

Lauren: Is he on his own?

Y/N: No, Captain America's there too.

Lauren: Well, I guess we're not getting breakfast then.

Y/N: I should be out there helping him.

Lauren: And you will be when your powers come through.

Y/N: Yeah...

Just then dad comes through the backdoor.

Ben: Sorry, sorry. I know I'm late. Just let me go and change.

Lauren: Wait, come here first.

Mum pulls him into a kiss.

I groan.

Y/N: Don't make me get the spray bottle out.

Ben: What's wrong with you?

Lauren: Yeah, you should be happy that you have parents that are in love.

Y/N: I am happy. Doesn't mean I need to see it. I better go or I'm gonna miss the bus.

I stand up.

Y/N: Though if I had my powers, I could web swing there.

Ben: Don't worry, son. They'll come through. I know it.

Y/N: If you say so, dad. Bye.

I leave the house and head to the bus stop.

(One hour later)

I'm now at school with Finn and I'm grabbing book out of my locker.

Finn: Hey, so did you see the fight that Spider-Man and Captain America had on the news?

Y/N: Yeah, I did. It was awesome.

Finn: I figured you'd like it. I mean Spider-Man was there.

I close my locker.

Y/N: Shut up, dude.

???: Back off, Jackson.

We look over to see Mara Allen getting harassed by Jackson Miller.

He's a real asshole.

Jackson: Oh, come on. I know you like me. Just admit.

Mara: That's not happening, cause it's not true. I'd sooner date a girl than you.

I walk over.

Y/N: Hey, Jackson.

He turns to me.

Y/N: Leave her alone. She clearly doesn't like it.

Jackson: Get out of here, Reilly.

Y/N: Or what? You gonna piss yourself climbing the rope in gym class again?

People start laughing.

Jackson: That didn't happen!

Y/N: Really? That's not what your mum told me.

People: Oooo.

Jackson: That's it!

He quickly hits me in the stomach, then the face.

Mara: Back off!

Mara kicks him in the nuts.

Jackson: Ahhhh!!

He quickly runs away.

Finn: Hey, man. You good?

I gasp.

Finn: Shit. Where's your inhaler?

Y/N: Back... pocket.

He quickly grabs it for me and I use it.

Y/N: Whoa. Thanks, man.

Finn helps me up.

Mara: Are you okay, Y/N?

Y/N: Yeah, I'm good. I just like to run my mouth.

Mara: Well, thank you for that.

Y/N: You're welcome.

Mara: Well, I better go. I need to get to cheer practice. I'll see you in class.

Y/N: Yeah, bye.

She smiles before walking away.

Finn: Dude, why didn't you ask her out?

Y/N: What?

Finn: She clearly likes you. Ask her out.

Y/N: You wanted me to ask her out after getting my ass kicked? (Sarcastically) Yeah, sounds like a great idea.

I sigh.

Y/N: Come on, let's go.

He and I head to our class.

(Several hours later)

I'm now on my way back from school.

I walk down the street and go to cross to the other side.

Just then I see a car speeding down towards me.

Y/N: Oh, shit.

On pure instinct I jump up to get out of the way.

I look around to see I'm not on the ground anymore.

Y/N: What?

I then realise that I'm stuck to the side of a building.

I pull my hand away and look at it.

Y/N: It's about damn time.

After that I start to climb up the building.

I get to the top and perch on the ledge of the rooftop.

Y/N: Whoa. This is a great view.

I finally have my powers, I can't believe it.
