So right now I'm not Spider-Man, I'm just a normal guy taking his girlfriend out.

Katie and I have just had a nice romantic evening out.

We leave the restaurant.

She links her arm with mine.

Kate: Tonight was amazing, babe. What made decide you wanna all this?

Y/N: Do I need a reason to take my beautiful girlfriend out for a romantic evening?

Kare: No, I'm just wondering if you've got something planned.

Y/N: I have nothing planned. I just wanted to show my girlfriend how much I love you and I'm appreciative of you.

She tilts her head.

Kate: What do you mean?

Y/N: Well, you've been there for me while I was struggling after...

Kate: Yeah, I know. And I know you miss them too.

I sigh.

Y/N: Yeah...

Kate: So, are you still going to your mum's benefit for the displaced people tomorrow?

Y/N: Yeah, I'll be there as both Y/N L/N, the son and Spider-Man. You're coming, right?

Kate: Of course. I'm Y/N L/N's girlfriend/date.

Y/N: True.

I sigh.

Y/N: Okay, let's go home.

I wrap my arms around her waist.

Y/N: I wanna show you how much I love you in private.

She giggles.

Kate: Okay, let's go.

Katie and I then head back home.

(The next day)

So, I'm now at the benefit my mum put together.

Mum put this benefit together to help people who was displaced by the Blip.

I'm currently on stage with mum as Spider-Man in the Iron-Spider suit.

Laurel: Now, I know all of you here because you have come back after three years of being gone. You lost three years of your lives and alot more. Just know we are here for you.

I just stay there heroically.

Laurel: Thank you all for coming tonight and thank you for being here, Spider-Man.

She steps back and I go over to the mic.

Y/N: Thank you for having me, Mrs. L/N. I'm glad to be here. I'd like to say I'm sorry that you all lost your homes, possessions etc. If there's one thing I know about the people of this city, is that we can always come back from our hardships.

The crowd claps.

After that mum and I go backstage.

I walk back and look around, but don't see anyone.

I retract my mask.

Mum comes over and we high five.

Laurel: That was great.

Y/N: Yeah, it was. You did good.

Laurel: So did you, sweetie.

Y/N: Not gonna lie, I felt a little stiff.

Laurel: You weren't. You did good.

Y/N: So were you.

Laurel: Thank you. I...

We hear a bang from behind us.

I quickly activate my mask.

The door opens and I see Happy come in.

I retract my mask.

Y/N: Hey, Happy.

Happy: Hey, kid.

Y/N: It's good to see you, man, but why are you here?

Happy: Well, I was talking with Pepper about this benefit and she wanted to contribute.

He hands a cheque to my mum.

Laurel: Oh, thanks, Happy. I appreciate it. I better get back out there. Your brother will need my help. And yours.

She gives me a look and I sigh.

She's talking about me teaching Miles to use his powers.

He walks to the exit.

Laurel: Spider-Man, get out there and shake hands.

Y/N: Yes, ma'am.

Mum leaves the room.

Happy: Oh, heads up. Nick Fury's gonna call you.

Y/N: Fury? He's gonna call me? Why does he need me? We haven't spoken since Tony's funeral.

Happy: Well, you're a superhero. That's what he does, he calls superheroes.

Y/N: I know, but I think he'd call a hero he knows. He knows alot of them.

Happy: Well, he needs your help.

Just then my phone goes off in my bag.

I go over and get my phone.

The caller is unknown.

Happy: Unknown caller. That's him.

Y/N: I don't wanna talk to Fury, Happy.

Happy: You have to. If you don't talk to him, then I'll have to. And I don't wanna do that.

Y/N: Why?

Happy: Because he scares me. Just answer the phone.

I button Fury.

Happy: Did you just send Nick Fury to voicemail?

Y/N: I don't wanna talk to him.

I start backing up towards the exit.

Happy: Y/N, you have to call him. He needs your help.

Y/N: Look, I'll call him later. I promise. I'll call him. I'll help him.

Happy: You don't ghost Nick Fury.

Y/N: Don't worry, I'll call him back later.

I use my spider arms to open the curtains and close them after I'm through.

Y/N: I'll call him when I feel like playing hero again.

I just wanna be normal for a bit.

I go out and start talking to the reporters.

Reporter #1: Spider-Man, is it true you're the new leader of the Avengers?

Y/N: Yes, I am. But right now the Avengers aren't needed right now.

Reporter #2: If aliens come back, what will you do?

Y/N: I guess I'll reform the Avengers and help in any way I can. Does anyone have any friendly neighbourhood questions?

Reporter #3: Spider-Man, how does it feel to take over from Tony Stark? Those are some big shoes to fill.

As soon as he said that I feel my heart beat faster.

I think I'm gonna have a panic attack.

I breathe heavily.

Y/N: Uh, that's it for now. No more questions.

I quickly jump up onto the ceiling and leave the hall.

After that I swing away and land on a roofto nearby.

I retract my mask.

I start breathing slowly in and out.

Every time someone asks me something to do with Tony, I almost have a panic attack.

The whole world is asking me questions like that.

It's like they want me to be the next Iron-Man.

I look over and see a paining of Iron-Man on the wall.

People all around the world have been doing this to pay their respects to Tony.

I sigh.

Y/N: I'm sorry, Tony. I wish you were still here.

I just sit on the rooftop to think.

I need to find a way to get past this.
