Y/N's P.O.V

Natasha, Melina and I sat in silence for a bit of Yelena's outburst.

Natasha then stands up.

Natasha: Alright, that's it. I'm going. 

She walks off and I stand up.

Melina: Where are you going?

Natasha: I'm gonna find the Red Room and take it down.

Melina: Don't. You won't survive.

Y/N: She's right, Nat.

Natasha: I wish I could believe that you cared. But you're not even the first mother to abandon me.

I join her in the kitchen.

Melina: You weren't abandoned. You were selected by a program that assessed the genetic potential in infants.

Natasha and I go over to her.

Natasha: I was taken?

Melina: I believe that I bargain was struck, your family paid off. But your mother never stopped looking for you. She was like you in that way, she was. Relentless.

I go over to them.

Y/N: I guess that's where Nat gets it from.

I think about my birth mother and realise she was the same way, at least that's what I've been told.

Natasha is also relentless when protecting me.

That's probably why she kept the true from me.

Natasha: I guess so. What happened to her?

Melina then tells us that Dreykov had Natasha's real mother killed as she wouldn't stop searching for her.

Nat looks down with tears in her eyes.

Natasha: I thought about her every day of my life. Whether or not I admitted it to myself, I did.

I pull her into a hug.

Melina: I've always found it best not to look into the past.

Natasha then finds a book on Melina's bookshelf of our "family."

This was interesting for me as I've never seen any pictures of our life in Ohio.

Natasha tells me about how one year they had shot Christmas, thanksgiving, Easter and summer vacation all in one day.

Melina takes the book away.

Melina: Let's stop this.

Y/N: Why are you doing this, Melina?

She turns to us.

Melina: Why does a mouse born in a cage run on that little wheel? Do you know I was cycled through the Red Room four times before you were even born? Those walls are all I know. I was never given a choice.

I step forward.

Y/N: You're not a mouse, Melina. You have a choice, right now. There's always a choice. Yes, you may have been born in a cage, but that's not your fault.

Melina nods to me, then looks to Natasha.

Melina: Natasha tell me, how did you keep your heart?

Nat looks at me.

Natasha: Because of him, my little brother. He is the reason what helped me keep my heart. And besides, pain only makes us stronger, right? Didn't you tell us that? What you taught me kept me alive and I taught it to Y/N.

Y/N: And that kept me alive. Every time I got hurt in the field as Spider-Man, those words helped me get back up.

Melina looks back to me.

Y/N: Even when I just wanted to give up so the pain would stop. That lesson helped me push forward, even when all hope is lost.

She chuckles and puts her hand on my cheek.

Melina: You are a strong, boy. And you do know how to give a good speech.

Natasha: That's one of the reasons why we keep him.

The three of us chuckle.

Melina then looks back to Natasha.

Melina: I'm sorry, I already alerted the Red Room. They'll be here any minute.

After that Natasha and I look at each other.

Natasha: I know that look. You have a plan, don't you?

I tilt my head.

Y/N: Well, yeah. Sorta, maybe.

Melina: Is it a good plan?

Y/N: Maybe.

Natasha: Is there a good chance it'll get us killed?

Y/N: Yeah, probably.

Natasha: That sounds like an Y/N plan to me.

Y/N: Come on, let's go.

The three of us then go into Melina's secret room.

So I go over my plan with them, but Melina is not convinced. She and Natasha are currently swapping suits.

Melina: That is a terrible plan.

Y/N: I said I had a plan, I never said it was a good plan.

Melina: Yes you did.

Y/N: No, I said "maybe." There's a difference. Melina, do you have ear pieces for us to communicate through?

Melina: Yes.

She goes over and grabs them.

Melina then give one to Nat and I before putting one in her ear.

Melina: Shit. I only have one left.

Natasha: I'll give it to Yelena.

Melina hands the last one to Natasha.

Y/N: Good idea. Alexei would probably screw it up somehow.

Natasha & Melina: True.

We then hear noises coming from outside.

Melina: It's the Red Room.

Y/N: Okay, Natasha, Melina. Activate those face mask things.

They do so and they swap faces.

Y/N: Whoa, that's weird. Okay, Natasha, do your thing.

She nods.

After that she stuns both Melina and I.

Everything goes black.

Third person perspective

Natasha disguised as Melina is taking an unconscious Y/N, Yelena, Alexei and Melina disguised as Natasha up to the Red Room.

During the flight Alexei wakes up and sees "Melina" up front.

"Melina": Request clearance for landing.

Alexei: Melina?

"Melina": We're touching down in one minute.

Alexei: Then why are we still going up?

Alexei looks up and sees how no-one was able to find the Red Room.

It's because the Red Room's base of operations was hovering in the sky.

"Melina": Now you'll know how Dreykov stayed above radar for all these years.

After that Alexei gets stabbed in the neck and passes out again.

The jets then touches down on the Red Room platform.
