Y/N's P.O.V

We're back on the S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier.

Loki is being taken to a cell.

I walk to the bridge and see Black Widow standing there.

Y/N: Oh, hi, Ms. Romanoff.

Natasha: Just call me Natasha, Y/N. I just wanna talk.

Y/N: Okay...

Natasha: I know Stark is your hero and all, but try to emulate him. You didn't need to put yourself in danger like.

She rubs some dirt off my face.

Y/N: I'm sorry. I was just trying to help.

Natasha: I know.

Y/N: Thanks for worrying about me, I guess.

I lean in and hug her.

Natasha: You're welcome.

Natasha's P.O.V

I can't help but smile as Y/N hugs me.

I wrap my arms around him and I didn't realise how much I needed this.

He's not see me since he was basically a baby, but maybe subconsciously he remembers me.

We pull away.

Natasha: Come on, let's go join the other's.

Y/N: Okay.

We go onto the bridge.

Y/N's P.O.V

After joining the other's we watch Director Fury interrogate.

A moment later the camera switches off.

Bruce: He really grows on you doesn't?

I chuckle.

Steve: Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor what's his play?

Thor turns to us.

Thor: He has an army call the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor of any world known. He means to lead them against your people, they will win him the earth.

My eyes widen.

Y/N: An army from outer space? So awesome.

They all look at me.

Y/N: I mean that's bad. Very bad. We should stop that.

Bruce: So, he's building another portal. That's why he needs Erik Slevig.

Thor: Selvig?

Bruce: He's an astrophysicist.

Thor: He's a friend.

Natasha: Loki has him under a spell, along with one of ours.

Y/N: I just don't get why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here.

Bruce: I don't think we should be focusing on that kid. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You could smell crazy on him.

Thor: I care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is an Asgardian. He is my brother.

Natasha: He killed eighty people in two days.

Thor: He's adopted.

Bruce: I think it's about the mechanics. The Iridium, what do they need that for?

???: It's a stabilising agent.

We see Mr. Stark come into the room.

Tony: It means that the portal won't collapse like it did at S.H.I.E.L.D. No hard feelings Point Break. You've got a mean swing. It means that the portal can stay open as long as Loki wants.

He goes over to Director Fury's position.

Tony: How does Fury even see these?

Maria: He turns.

Tony: That sounds exhausting.

He starts talking about the materials that Agent Barton would need to get to help Loki with his plan.

Steve: Does Loki need any particular power source?

Y/N: He'd have to heat the Cube to one hundred and twenty million Kelvin to break through the Coulomb barrier.

Tony: Unless Selvig has figured out how to stabilise the quantum tunneling effect.

Bruce: Well, if we could do that, he could achieve heavy inon fusion at any reactor on the planet.

Tony: Finally, someone other than the kid who speaks English.

Steve: Is that what just happened?

Tony: It's good to meet you, Dr. Banner. Your work on antielectron collisions is unparalleled. I'm also a fan of how you turn into a huge green rage monster.

Bruce: Thanks.

We see Fury come in.

Nick Fury: Dr. Banner is here to track the Tesseract. I was hoping you'd join him.

Steve: I'd start with that stick of his. It maybe magical, but it works a bit like a HYDRA weapon.

Nick Fury: I don't know about that, but it is powered by the Cube. And I'd like to know how he used to two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys.

Thor and I look at Fury.

Thor: Monkeys? I don't understand.

Y/N: Yeah, me neither.

Steve: I do.

Cap look at us.

Steve: I understood that reference.

I look at him.

Y/N: Damn, you're old.

Mr. Stark laughs.

Tony: Good one, kid. How about you join us in the lab?

I stand up.

Y/N: Yeah, sure. I need to fix up my web shooters, anyway.

Tony: Great.

Nick Fury: Wait, Stark, why is this kid here? I didn't authorise this.

Tony: He's here to help. And he did a good job. He's the reason we captured Loki.

Steve: He's right, sir. The kid's got skills.

Natasha: He does.

Tony: Shall we Doctor?

Dr. Banner leads Mr. Stark and I out of the room and to his lab.

(One hour later)

After cleaning myself up, I join Mr. Stark and Dr. Banner in the lab.

We're still searching for the Tesseract.

Banner and I are scanning the Scepter.

Y/N: The Gamma readings are definitely consistent with Selvig's reports of the Tesseract.

Bruce: Yes, they are. But it's going to take weeks to process.

Tony: If we bypass their mainframe and direct Homer cluster we can clock this at around six hundred teraflops.

Bruce: And all I packed was a toothbrush.

Mr. Stark comes over.

Tony: You know, you should come by Stark Tower sometime. Top ten floors, all R&D. You'd love it. It's Candy Land.

Y/N: He's right. It's so cool.

Bruce: Thanks, but the last time I was in New York, I kinda broke.... Harlem.

Y/N: I remember seeing that on the news.

Banner nods.

Tony: Well, I promise a stress-free environment. No tension, no surprises.

Just then Stark jabs Banner in the side.

Bruce: Oww.

???: Hey!

Tony: Nothing.

I turn to see Cap coming into the lab.

Steve: Are you nuts?

Tony: Jury's out. You really do have a lid on it don't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz, bongo drums, huge bag of weed?

Steve: Is everything a joke to you?

Tony: Funny things are.

Steve: Threating the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny. No offence Doc.

Bruce: It's alright. I wouldn't have come aboard if I couldn't handle pointy things.

Tony: You keep tiptoeing big man. You need to strut.

Steve: And you need to focus on the problem, Mr. Stark.

Tony: You think I'm not? Why did Fury call us in now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us?

Y/N: I barely know him, but I can tell he's hiding something. I may be a kid and all, but I'm not stupid.

Tony: Well, I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables.

Steve: You think Fury's hiding something?

Y/N: Captain, he's a spy. He's "the" spy. His secrets have secrets. I know that because my parents used to work for him.

Tony: Very true.

He looks to Banner.

Tony: It's bugging him too.

Bruce: I just wanna get on with my work here...

Steve: Doctor?

Banner sighs and takes his glasses off.

Bruce: "A warm light for all mankind." Loki's jab to Fury about the Cude.

Steve: I heard it.

Banner believes the jab was towards Mr. Stark about Stark Tower.

Tony: I'm the only name in clean energy right now. That's what he's getting at.

Bruce: So, why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D bring him in on the Tesseract project? What are they doing in the clean energy business in the first place?

That's when Mr. Stark reveals that he's hacking into all of S.H.I.E.L.D's secure files.

Y/N: Come on, Captain. You can't say none of this doesn't sound off to you.

He sighs.

Steve: Just find the Cube.

Cap leaves the room.

We continue looking for the Cube.
