(The next day)

Y/N's P.O.V 

Right now I'm swinging through the city as Spider-Man.

There's a car driving down the the streets with a hostage.

Her name is Jennifer Lawson, she's a lawyer from my mother's firm.

I'm following them to see where they're taking her.

Y/N: Okay, where you guys going?

A moment later they stop outside an abandoned warehouse.

I stick to the side of a building across from the warehouse.

Y/N: Now, I just gotta get in there.

I look around to see a vent nearby.

Y/N: And there's my way in.

I web swing over and land under the vent before climbing inside.

Y/N: Ah, the vents. My home away from home.

I crawl through the vents and make it to the other side.

And there's more criminals in here than I thought.

I see two of them take the lawyer into the office upstairs.

Y/N: There she is.

I web zip over there and climb through the open window.

I immediately climb up onto the ceiling above the criminals in there with her.

Once I'm in position I use my webs to tie them up and stick them to the ceiling.

Y/N: Aw, they're so cute when they're unconscious.

I repel down on a web line.

Jennifer: Spider-Man?

Y/N: Hi there, you must be Jennifer Lawson.

Jennifer: That's right.

I drop down.

Y/N: I've been working with Laurel Lance-Jones. She told me what happened.

I untie her.

Y/N: I'm gonna get you out of here.

She stands up.

Jennifer: Thank you.

Y/N: Okay, you stay up here and hide. I'm gonna deal with these guys and I'll get you when it's over.

Jennifer: Alright. Good luck.

I web zip out of the open window and take down a criminal with a web strike.

(A/N: Just imagine Y/N's in his current suit.)

Y/N: Hey, guys. Is this a private party, or can I join?

Criminal: Spider-Man! Get him!

Y/N: Really? "Spider-Man, get him." That's a little cliché, don't you think?

I dodge their attacks and I work on taking them down one by one.

Just then my spider sense goes off.

Before I can react I got hit by a blast.

I fly back into some crates.

I look up to see Shocker there.

Y/N: Wait, Herman?

Herman Shultz a.k.a Shocker. He's the first bad guy I took down after the whole alien invasion thing.

Shocker: Shut up, Web-Head! You went after people with powerful friend's.

He charges his gauntlets and gets ready to blast me.

Y/N: Spidey sense says, "this is gonna hurt."

Just then I see an arrow hit the ground.

The window smashes open and a figure flies in, kicking Shocker away.

She's a girl wearing purple along with a bow and quiver.

She smiles at me.

???: Hey there, Spider-Man. Thought you might need some help.

She comes over and helps me up.

Y/N: Uh, thanks, but who are you?

???: I'm Hawkness.

My eyes widen.

Y/N: You're Clint protégé, Kate Bishop. He told me about you.

Kate: He told me about you too.

We then realise we're getting surrounded.

Y/N: We should get to know each other later.

Kate: Agreed. Let's do this.

She and I fight off the criminals as they come at us.

Just then Shocker flies a blast at us.

Y/N: Hawkness, hold on.

Kate: Huh?

I quickly grab her and web zip out of the way.

We land back down.

Kate: Oh, thanks.

After that we work together and take Shocker down.

Jennifer comes out of the office.

The cops then show up with my dad.

Tommy: Spider-Man and... Hawkeye Jr.

She tilts her head.

Kate: Actually, it's Hawkness.

Tommy: Oh, sorry.

Y/N: Well, we took down Shocker and all these guys.

Tommy: Great. We'll take it from here.

I look to Kate.

Y/N: He's right. We should go.

Kate: Okay.

She and I leave the scene.

We go up onto a nearby rooftop.

Kate: Well, that was fun.

I chuckle.

Y/N: Yeah, it was. Thanks for the help. When protecting New York like this it's usually me on my own. So it was nice to have a partner to help.

She smiles.

Kate: No problem. It's my city too. Plus, you saved my life before. So I owed you.

Y/N: I have?

Kate: Yeah. During the alien invasion I was in a bank with my mother. You jumped in and saved us.

Y/N: Oh. Well, you're welcome.

I sigh.

Y/N: Well, since I know your name, it's only fair you know mine.

I take off my mask.

Y/N: Hi. I'm Y/N L/N.

I shake her hand.

Kate: It's weird, Clint always said you were pretty sensitive about your identity.

Y/N: Well, if Clint trusts you, then I can too.

She smiles.

Kate: Thank you.

After that I put my mask on and we leave.

(Fifteen minutes later)

I'm now on the rooftop of the police precinct.

Just then my parents come out.

Tommy: Spider-Man.

Y/N: Detective, Mrs. Lance-Jones.

Laurel: Thank you for you help, Spider-Man.

Y/N: I was just doing my job.

Laurel: You know, I gotta say I think it was funny that you were in Germany at the same time as our son.

I nod.

Y/N: That is weird. I guess it's just a coincidence.

Laurel: You sound alot like him too. And you're about the same height.

They both look at me.

My eyes widen.

Y/N: Wait, you guys...?

They nod.

I take off my mask.

Y/N: You guys have known this whole time?

Tommy: You're the genius, I'm surprised you didn't figure it out.

Y/N: Well, I had a feeling you knew, but I had no idea about you, mum. Why didn't either of you say anything?

Tommy: We wanted to wait until you were ready to tell us.

Laurel: And we understand that you were doing it to protect us. Like you, we've had to keep secrets to protect loved ones.

Y/N: Well, you were the Prowler and Black Canary. So, I buy that.

I sigh.

Y/N: I just didn't want anything to change and I didn't want to worry you guys.

Laurel: We were worried, but overall we're just proud of you.

Y/N: Thank you.

I hug them.

Now, my parents know and I don't have to keep it from them anymore.
