Y/N's P.O.V

I'm sat on the roof and all I can think about is Katie. What happens to her if I die here tonight?

I really hate that I left her back in New York.

Sometimes I wonder if I made the right decision to become Spider-Man.

As I sit there I see Beck fly up to me.

Quentin: Hey, Y/N. You okay?

Y/N: Yeah, I'm fine. I just... I'm thinking about Kate, my girlfriend.

Quentin: Ah, I see.

He floats down and sits next to me retracting his helmet.

Quentin: How you feeling?

Y/N: I... I was supposed to be taking a break from the whole "hero" thing when Fury came to me. I was just supposed to be a normal guy. All I wanted was a break, but it seems I can't get that.

I sigh.

Y/N: Ever since I was fourteen I've been living this life. And sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice when I chose to be Spider-Man.

Quentin: Well, from what I've heard alot of people would be alot worse off if you hadn't become Spider-Man.

He sighs.

Quentin: But I get it. The work/life balance is really hard, especially for guys like us.

Y/N: Now, I know I sound like a selfish asshole right now, but I...

Quentin: Hey. You're not a selfish asshole for wanting a normal life, Y/N. Trust me, I get it. It's a hard path.

Y/N: I just can't help but feel like I'm letting Kate and my loved ones down. I'm just afraid I'll lose all of them if I keep going like this.

Quentin: Yeah, I remember feeling the same way with my wife and family.

He looks at me.

Quentin: I like you, Y/N. You're a good guy.

I smile.

Quentin: There's a part of me that wants to tell you, just to go home and be with your loved ones, run away from all this. Then there's another part of me that what we're about to fight, what's at stake and I'm glad you're here.

Y/N: Thanks, me too.

I sigh.

Y/N: I gotta say, it's nice to have somebody to talk to about superhero stuff out here, you know? I haven't had that since I lost my mentor.

He looks at me.

Quentin: Anytime, kid. And, hey, we survive this. You'll have plenty of time to spend with your girl. Kate, was it?

I nod.

Y/N: Yeah.

Quentin: That's a nice name.

I sigh.

Y/N: Okay, I'll see you out there.

Quentin: Yep.

I drop down from the rooftop and go to get ready.

(One hour later)

I'm now in my suit at the top of cathedral tower.

Y/N: Alright, I'm in position. I'll let you know when I see something, Beck.

Quentin: Roger that.

A moment later I see the fire Elemental come out of the ground.

Y/N: Beck, it's here! You ready? You know what to do.

Quentin: On your lead, Spider-Man.

I see Beck land down infront of it.

Quentin: You're up, Spidey.

I swing in and throw a truck at the Elemental.

Beck blasts it and I shoot out a web line to break open a fire hydren.

The Elemental goes to hit, but I jump off the building and go into a back flip.

I land down infront of the ferris wheel.

When I look up I see the Elemental getting bigger because of the metal.

Y/N: Beck! He's got the carousel! He's getting bigger!

???: Spider-Man! Spider-Man, help.

I look up to see two civilians trapped on the ferris wheel.

The Elemental comes towards me. I try shooting webs at it but they get burnt up.

Before the Elemental can crush me, beck creates a bubble around us to stop it.

Quentin: On to plan B?

Y/N: Yeah! We gotta hit it with something he can't absorb!

Quentin: I go left, you go right! Now!

He breaks away and we split up.

The Elemental shoots fire at me, so I web zip up a building and jump off it into a backflip.

(A/N: Just imagine it's Y/N his Iron-Spider suit.)

I come back around I use my webs to throw ruble at the Elemental.

Y/N: Beck, shoot him!

Mysterio blasts the Elemental.

Quentin: That hurt him! Keep it coming!

We continue to fight the Elemental, but it manages to get the ferris wheel.

It was knocked in and I have to web it to the nearby building to keep it in place.

Beck shoots his beams to keep the Elemental back. But this causes scaffolding to fall on it causing it to get even bigger.

Y/N: Oh no.

Beck looks back to me.

Quentin: Whatever happens...

His helmet retracts.

Quentin: I'm glad we met, Y/N.

Y/N: Beck, what are you doing?!

He looks to the Elemental as his helmet covers his head again.

Quentin: What I should've done last time.

He starts to build up his energy

Quentin: Rahhh!!!!

Y/N: Beck, don't do it!

He flies into the Elemental and uses his power to blow it up from the inside out.

Y/N: Beck!!

The smoke clears and I look down to see Beck's body.

I jump down and retract my mask.

Y/N: No, no. Not again. Not again.

I rush over to Quentin and roll him over.

Y/N: Quentin?

He looks at me.

Y/N: Oh, thank god. You're alive.

I help him up.

The fire Elemental is gone.

A moment later we're joined by Fury and Hill.

Maria: So, it's over?

Quentin: That was the last of them.

Nick Fury: But not the last threat we'll face. We need to stay vigilant.

He looks to Beck.

Nick Fury: There's room in this world for a hero like you. Hill and I are going to Europol headquarters in Berlin tomorrow. You should join us.

Beck stands.

Quentin: Thank you. I just might take you up on that.

Fury then comes over to me.

Nick Fury: You're special, Y/N. But you didn't want to be here.

Y/N: Nick, I...

Nick Fury: I'd love to have you in Berlin too. But you've got to decide whether you're going to step up or not. Stark chose you. He brought you into the Avengers. I need that. The world needs that. Maybe his was wrong.

I look down.

Nick Fury: Was he? The choice is yours, son.

Fury and Hill then leave.

Quentin comes over and puts his hand on my shoulder.

Quentin: Let's get drink.

I nod.

Y/N: Yeah, okay.

He and I leave and go to the nearest bar.
