Y/N's P.O.V

So, after yesterday's craziness with Sandman we're taking a break today.

There's was alot of damage in the aftermath of Sandman's attack, but things seem to be okay now.

Right now I'm at my parents place to with mum and dad.

Vanessa: Is the city fully cleaned up yet?

Y/N: Pretty much. Harry is out there out there right now. He's got it covered. Thanks for helping out yesterday dad, we definitely needed it.

James: Just doing my job, kiddo. So, how's Eddie doing?

Y/N: Really good. It's actually kinda surprising how well he's doing.

James: What do you mean?

Y/N: Well, it's almost as if he's acting like it never happened.

Vanessa: Maybe it's just his way of processing it.

Y/N: Yeah, that makes sense.

James: What's important is that you're there for him. That's all he needs, son.

Y/N: I know, dad. And I will be.

James: Good.

I then look at my watch.

Y/N: Ah, crap. I gotta go.

Vanessa: Where are you going?

Y/N: I gotta meet with Gwen for lunch and we need to go shopping. Eddie's coming over for dinner tonight.

Vanessa: That sounds nice.

Y/N: It will be. It's their first time meeting too. Bye, guys.

James & Vanessa: Bye.

I hug them both before leaving to meet up with Gwen.

I walk into my apartment with Gwen and go to the kitchen.

And we're talking about Eddie coming over.

Gwen: So, is Eddie coming over to dinner tonight?

Y/N: Yeah, he will.

Gwen: Good. I can't wait to meet him, finally.

I chuckle.

Y/N: Yeah, okay.

Gwen: You haven't told him about... you know?

Y/N: What? No, no. He doesn't know about our other halves or where you really come from. He still believes you moved here from out of town.

Gwen: Okay, good. I know he's one of your oldest friends and you might wanna tell him, but I don't think it's a good idea. At least not yet.

Y/N: Yeah, I agree. And it's kinda nice that he doesn't know.

Gwen: Really?

Y/N: Yeah. Cause he doesn't know he treats me like I'm just my normal self, no Spider-Man.

She smiles.

Gwen: That's good.

Just then there's a knock at the door.

I answer it and see that it's Eddie.

Y/N: Hey, Eddie.

Eddie: Hi, bro.

We clapse hands and hug.

After that we go to the kitchen.

Y/N: Hey, babe. Look who's here.

She turns to face us.

Gwen: Hi. You must be Eddie.

Eddie: That's right. And you're Kate, right?

Gwen: I am.

Eddie: Y/N's told me alot about you.

Gwen: Likewise.

The two shake hands.

Y/N: So, Eddie, what are you doing here? I thought you weren't gonna be here for another couple of hours.

Eddie: Well, there's something I wanted to do first. I need to talk to you about something.

He looks to Gwen.

Eddie: You don't mind if he and I take a ride for a bit?

Gwen: No, of course not. Dinner won't be ready for a few hours, anyway. Go ahead, you boys have fun.

Y/N: Okay. Let's go, man.

I kiss Gwen before we leave.

We leave the building and see his car.

Eddie: Here, take a look at this.

He opens the trunk and pulls out two bikes.

Eddie: I thought we could ride like we used to.

I chuckle.

Y/N: Nice.

He hands me a red bike.

Y/N: I like this.

Eddie: I thought so. Let's go.

We ride the bikes down the street.

Y/N: So, where are we going?

Eddie: Follow me and you'll find out.

He rides up ahead and I follow him.

(One hour later)

So, Eddie has brought me to the park we used to hang out as kids.

We're sat on the ramp we used to ride our bikes down.

Eddie: Man, this place hasn't changed at all.

Y/N: I know. It's crazy. I can't believe you brought us back here.

He chuckles.

Eddie: I thought it'd be nice to come back here.

I smile.

Y/N: Fair enough.

I look at the badge he hands me.

Y/N: So, what is this for?

Eddie: When I woke up after almost two years I came to a realisation.

Y/N: What's that?

Eddie: I've been given a second chance and I'm not gonna waste it. I want to use what I can do to help people.

He looks at me.

Eddie: And I want to do it with you.

Y/N: Really?

Eddie: Yeah, man. We've what we both can do we can change the world for the better.

He sighs.

Eddie: We've both lost so much. I lost my mother and two years of my life. You lost your other best friend, Peter, your uncle Shane. I want to be able to help people, so they don't have to lose things like we did. And I know you want to as well.

I nod.

Y/N: You're right. I do.

Eddie: So, what do you say? You with me?

Y/N: Yeah, man. I'm with you.

We smile and clapse hands.

Eddie: Okay, great. We're gonna change the world, Y/N. Together.

He sighs.

Eddie: Now, we just need someone who's willing to take a chance and fund us.

I smirk.

Y/N: I think I know someone who'd be willing to help.

He smiles.

I can't believe it. Eddie and I are gonna change the world.
